In April of 2021 I purchased and moved into a BRAND NEW home. In my mind this meant that I would rarely - if ever - run into any mechanical or structural issues; especially not within the first few years. However, I have had multiple issues with the A/C system in the course of a year and a half - all of which have been related to the hack job installation performed by All Star Cooling & Heating. Within only a few months, the A/C completely froze up. This should NOT happen on a brand new unit! Unless, of course, there were issues with the installation. Luckily, I was able to resolve this issue myself. Shortly after the first incident, after only owning and living in my brand new home for approximately 3.5 months, the A/C completely quit functioning. I corresponded with the home builder and they recommended I have the original company, All Star Cooling & Heating, come out to address the problem. After dealing with an interior temperature of 90+ degrees and hours of my time wasted with incompetent employees from All Star Cooling & Heating onsite, the laborers didn't mention any major problems to me but merely attributed the issue to a loose fitting. All Star Cooling & Heating tightened the fitting and topped off the coolant then never returned. Approximately a year after All Star Cooling & Heating essentially put a bandaid on the issue (16 months in the home), my A/C began to show the same signs that it did as it was going out last summer. At this point, I took it upon myself to call a company that I know and trust to come out and asses the problem. Within less than an hour, the technician from this other company was able to identify multiple issues that were all caused from the terrible installation done during the initial home build. Below are the issues that were identified: -There was a piston installed on the evaporator. However, this unit was designed to have a TXV for best operation. The superheat was only running at 1.5 degrees, which result in premature compressor failure. -The o-ring on said piston fitting was the wrong size and was leaking. -The coil box was only supported by one small chain in the middle, thus causing it to sag out of shape and not drain properly. -One of the return air ducts had fallen off and was sucking air in from the attic. Because of All Star Cooling & Heating, I had to pay nearly $1,000 to have all of their mistakes fixed; not to mention the year and a half worth of high electricity bills that I was paying due to most of my cool air blowing directly into the attic, rather than the home. I know that I am not the only one that has had issues with their installation. I have spoken to 4 other homeowners in my neighborhood, who had their A/C systems installed by All Star Cooling & Heating, that have had their systems cause them countless issues. Whatever you do, DO NOT settle for All Star Cooling & Heating. Stay far, far away from this joke of a company. read more

I live out in Desert Color and have a reasonably new house.... I was having some intermittent issues with the air conditioning and called Allstar... I spoke with a lovely receptionist who ensured I felt like I was a top priority. She scheduled the general manager to come out and take a look. Everything was fixed with a little finesse on the air conditioning unit itself, a little bit of info about the system and how to set up vents, and just some general customer service. I will be using All-Star for any heating and cooling needs--they provide excellent value for the service. I would recommend this company to anyone who lives in the area. Don't hesitate to call. If you think something might be wrong, save the money and get it looked at now. Don't wait, or it's going to cost you more. read more

I called the company and one of their technician came out to my home, he was professional and courteous explain what needed to be done and had my AC working in no time. Our AC unit stopped working late Friday afternoon 5/29/2020 As you can imagine it was gonna be a warm weekend in our home. I called 1 or 2 HVAC repair businesses with no luck then I tried Allstar....Wow what great service we received!! Allstar had us up and running first thing Monday morning. A capacitor in the unit had gone out so the cost to fix it was a fraction of having to buy a new HVAC unit. I really appreciate a company that operates with honesty and integrity. I just had Gavin come to my house today. He had great customer service and was very prompt. He inspected my heating unit found the issue and replaced the necessary parts to get my heater working properly again. I was surprised that they came the same day I called and fixed it. This company went above and beyond for me. I had them do a spring tune up in April. However I did not turn on my air conditioning unit until May. That is when I found out it was not working. I called Gavin and as a courtesy he came out at no charge to assess my AC unit. It is then he discovered the motor had blown. He waited while I called my warranty provider and had all the information I needed to make a claim. He had another co-worker going to get the part as I finished up my call. Gavin has a terrible attitude. I asked him when he might be done with our unit and he replied "when I get done". We are in a rental unit and when he was finished he came to me and wanted me to sign that I would pay if our landlord didn't! I refused and he said he would shut off our unit! Great ethics. read more
