Went through the brain damage of binding a home insurance policy in April 2025 in connection with…read morebuying a home and paid the full annual premium in advance. The binder was "effective" for 90 days and was meant to become effective when I closed on the purchase of my home. In August 2025, I started receiving notices that I didn't pay for the policy -- turns out, State Farm cancelled my policy and issued a refund without notifying me so that they could raise my annual rates by over $500. Nobody at this office could explain why this cancellation was justified other than "a rating increase affected the policy". I asked them to honor the existing policy that I was quoted and paid for, and they would not. Turns out, when State Farm issues you a binder it means they'll collect your money and decide whether to honor the policy if it suits them (i.e., when it's more expensive for you). If this is how they handle the little things imagine how they handle the big things.

The one time I changed to a competitor I instantly regretted it as I had to jump through a gazillion hoops to file a claim. Not the case with Allstate. Many years ago a scammer threw himself in front of my car and I had Allstate at the time. This had to be one of the most traumatic experiences of my life, but Allstate made everything so much easier and took a lot of worries off my plate and gave me peace of mind. I actually had to go give a deposition and the insurance appointed attorney stuck with me every step of the way. I felt so very protected when I needed it most. I don't have a car anymore, but use Allstate for my homeowners insurance and feel more than confident in their services and impeccable integrity.

Derek Crosby is the most Unprofessional insurance agent I have ever spoken to…read more I asked for his manager with an attitude because my time is being wasted, yet again about issues on their end of the auto pay system. I received 10x the attitude right back at me as if I wasn't speaking to a man being paid by the hour at work. Tells me " No one else is in the office but me" then proceeds to place me on hold to come back as a new voice acting like his daddy Tim Crosby. I immediately got fed up and contacted John Miller to talk to a grown up not a little boy fresh off Fortnite, John could not handle the tense tones in my voice that was caused by Derek's actions and John ended up hanging up on me like an unprofessional scared child. This is how you treat a client that has never missed a payment or even made a claim ever. Most unprofessional conversations I've ever had in my life. Think twice before going with Tim Crosby and his agency of immature amateurs.

For months, I had rashes that spread throughout my body that wouldn't stop until one day I woke up…read morewith the most excruciating pain. I came to find out that I was suffering from a skin disease called Topical Steroid Withdrawal, an iatrogenic condition caused by various forms of steroids I had taken throughout my life to treat eczema and other conditions. At night, I would feel thousands of needles piercing my skin due to the nerve damage caused by the steroids. My skin would become bright red and hot to the touch. I would have flare-ups that would have me on the floor crying and begging God to help me. I would take cold showers over ten times a day to try to relieve the pain. The itch was so deep and strong that I would scratch until my flesh opened. My skin was so thin that it would RIP just from moving. I was lucky if I could sleep one hour a day. If I managed to sleep, I would wake up with blood all over my bedsheets. My partner, a former employee of this office, took care of me while still putting his 100% into this job. He needed some flexibility and compassion, but was offered none. All he needed was to work from home temporarily, but was denied. They never tried to work anything out with him. They just wanted him at the office everyday while the other employee of this office was allowed to work remotely full-time and take off whenever he wanted to with no pushback. There was a double standard between what was expected of my partner and the other employee. The owner of this branch Tim Crosby and the "office manager" were very angry about my partner's dire situation. They even asked him, "When do you think she will get better?" Can you imagine somebody asking this about someone who is gravely ill? I would do anything to recover. I had been housebound and bedbound for over two months. I wouldn't wish this suffering on my worst enemy. I am stunned that they are so heartless and vile. My partner loved his job, but he was treated very poorly. He started this job in February of 2023. My partner had made 30 sales in March and it was only his second month there. His boss looked at the wrong spreadsheet in April and thought he had only made 10 sales in March. He pulled my partner into his office and proceeded to scream at him and then complain to him about how little money he had. Even if my partner had done poorly that month, Tim Crosby had no right to scream at him like that. My partner wanted to quit right then and there, but decided to give Tim a second chance. Fast forward to August 2023 when my disease was at its worst. My partner's health was already deteriorating prior to my disease, and he asked for some flexibility so that he could take care of both himself and me. During the first few months of his job, he was already losing his appetite from all the stress. Around two weeks ago, I started to regain consciousness again and saw the situation that my partner and I were in. I had made significant progress in my recovery! I had a serious talk with him and told him that his health was the most important thing in this world, that there was absolutely no pressure for him to continue this job if he really didn't want to. He finally admitted to me that he had wanted to quit for some time, especially after he was called a "motherf*cker" by Tim for not being able to quote the dog grooming business downstairs right away. I told him that I would be supportive of him no matter what. When my partner was resigning earlier this week, Tim Crosby did not want him to quit and insinuated to him that he should abandon me for being sick. He asked him, "Are you with her out of convenience or do you really love her?" I switched my insurance to State Farm after my partner started his job there in February. He was so dedicated and really wanted this office to succeed. I just realized that I am a customer to a business that does not regard me as a human being. I am grateful that I was able to see people's true colors during my lowest point. This is why I am giving two stars instead of one.
