She helped me navigate the taxable vs non-taxable income and stipends and everything else that comes along with travel nursing. My appointment took about an hour. The complaint line is a freaking joke. Everything you read says call with your complaints and we will try and resolve the problem or help find a solution. The three people I have talked with couldn't direct you on how to get out of an empty paper sack. They kept defecting everything back to the local Jackson Hewitt and when I would talk to the local people they blamed everything on corporate. The manager at the Parkway East and John Hawkins Parkway location is rude and needs to be fired. She said she doesn't even use Jackson Hewitt to do her taxes. Her husband does them. That's like working at a hospital and not using it when something happens. Even if you don't you don't tell someone that. I mean she lied so many times any way she could have told one more lie. I know I am not the only one she has talked down to like she talked to me. I let the people I was with listen to how she was speaking to a customer. She was going to be right no matter what I said. I have asked for the district manager to contact me 3 different times and I have yet to hear from him. They wanted to charge me $620 once they filled out my forms. They couldn't tell how much it would be before we started. The price finally came down to $395 and I didn't realize that I could take my w2 form and information I came in with and leave after they filled out the forms. I thought I had to pay for the services. I wasn't going to jail for not paying for a service complete. I have learned my lesson if I don't like a service from now on I will refuse to pay for it. All she would say is to bad you signed saying you agreed to the services and the amount. Then continued to say if you have ever had your income tax filled out before you should know you don't have to pay for the services and you could have asked for your info and left. She is nothing but a bully and the way I deal with bullies is to call them out and whoever allows them to be a bully. She also said that I was so mad because when I got out and thought about it I felt dumb over spending that money. I told her that no I was mad before I didn't realize I had a choice with having consequences and I was going to have them keep my information for not paying. I told her and the rest of the idiots I have talked to that by the time I get through no one will want to use jackson hewitt in Alabama.
