The sympathy I received was genuine and they went above and beyond to help me 'get everything together' for my claim. They didn't just give me my claim number and make me do all the work. That alone was worth my premium. Now, I am that annoying customer that calls way too often because I am trying to buy a home. Every time I see a place I like, I immediately call for a car insurance and home owners insurance quote (can really vary, depending on the zip code, don't want to be surprised when your insurance doubles). The lovely ladies there are quick to help and usually give me a call back within a few hours, if not, always the same day. If you are looking for a new agent, this is certainly the place to go. While it didn't have the absolute most reviews of any insurance broker, the reviews Options Insurance does have--across Yelp, Google, and Reddit--indicate a strong reputation for customer satisfaction. And that's been our experience since working with our agent, Tippy Sourignavong. From the jump, Tippy demonstrated deep knowledge of insurance products (including terms and conditions that I found confusing), patience (in explaining the differences between policies), and responsiveness (often getting back to me within minutes for any question I had). She found us the best deal among insurers to cover our home, car (and later an additional car), and umbrella insurance from AAA; better than I could have found on my own. Before renewing this year, Tippy reached out, letting me know that she cross shopped my existing coverage across all the insurers and found us a better deal, saving us hundreds this year. She also flagged that insurers by and large were moving away from replacement cost value (RCV) to actual cost value (ACV) for roof replacements, which isn't as good, but out of her hands. Of course she only said this once I reached out and said I was unhappy working with the new agent. However before this, I was never notified about this nor was this updated on my insurance policies because they all stated that Keri was still my agent. Anyway the inexperienced colleague tried to convince me to stay with my current insurance company even though the roof deductible was more than doubled than the previous year and didn't even cover roof replacement. My car would not start after work on 1/20 and my AAA roadside assistance has stiffed me for three…read moredays!! My car has been dead in the ramp at work for three days when all I need is a jump start. I have called AAA multiple times and been told if I am not freezing to death I am not a priority. But if I am freezing I should hang up and call 911. Yes I know it is cold out. That is no surprise and that's why people pay for this service ; so they have someone to help them when it's winter and their car won't start. It is up to AAA to have adequate resources to take care of their customers even during a couple days of cold weather. The agreement is not "only if you are freezing". I've been given two different "appointments" but the drivers show up at random times and leave if I'm not right there. We agreed on 12-2 and he calls at 9:30 expecting me to be there. I work at a hospital I cannot run out at a moments notice. I explained that from the start. Then after giving me two appointments (they called it an "appointment") I'm told "we don't have appointments". Ive had to take Uber to and from work three times. $50+ to get to work at 7 am!! Almost as bad as a few years ago when AAA left me stranded all night outside at a closed gas station. I called twice for a lockout starting at 11:30pm. Nobody ever showed. I sat there all night by myself. Do not waste money on AAA. They do not come through when you need them. A complete rip-off.
