We had a very disappointing experience while visiting this venue for a tour. David was extremely rude, unprofessional, and unwelcoming from the moment we walked in. He did not greet us, barely acknowledged us, and continued looking at his phone instead of making any effort to engage with us or show genuine interest in giving a tour. It's unfortunate because the inside of the venue did have potential, but the overall experience made it very clear that this was not a place where we felt valued or welcomed as potential clients. The exterior was also dirty, and there were several unhoused individuals camped nearby, which added to the poor first impression. At the end of the day, we do not spend money where we are not treated with basic respect. This was a hard no for us. read more

Attending the venue for the first time as a guest. It's tucked away off Van Nuys Blvd. Valet parking was available upon arrival. This venue was perfect for the B'nai Mitzvah I was attending. The outside was set up as a lounge area and red carpet. The foyer at entrance was decorated and very contemporary with the design of the mirrors, lighting fixtures and furniture. The bathrooms were very sleek and modern as well. The main ballroom was dual purpose for the religious ceremony and the reception celebration to follow. The lighting fixtures were elegant and the color pallet was very neutral so not distracting to the theme. Wonderful venue staff. Very attentive. Bar staff and table staff were very professional. Just had my second holiday office party here so I feel a little more empowered to say something of my overall impression of Allure. There is a noticeable amount of effort to make this venue a diamond in the rough and tumble neighborhood it sits in. Of course, the planners at my office have to collaborate with the hall, but the quality of the suite of services and vendors they've offered is what I'll mostly be commenting on. The food was what I was impressed about the first time and it was one of the elements I was looking forward to having again. The office arranged service like a formal wedding dinner: a few appetizers followed by several rounds of entrees. It becomes all you can eat but the initial platters of food are plenty for the 9 or so people seated at a table. My favorite is the chicken fettuccine. Simple, but the breaded chicken in the Alfredo sauce is a pretty good execution for the dish. There's also a grilled beef and chicken course with mashed taters, a fish (tilapia I think) and veggies course and a penne pasta course. There's a stage and a dance floor, with plenty of additional entertainment space for a photo op and games. The two bar stands (one in the foyer and the other in main hall) end up being quite popular. Yes, my second time around, some of the parts that make up the whole did feel a little past their prime, like older serving utensils and little dings in some of the wall paneling - but the place still cleans up nicely. For two years, I've had consistent, hours-long visits that have resulted in a full belly and a handful of out-of-office memories with my colleagues. I'm mostly in gratitude about a local spot that can accommodate our year-end festivities to a sufficiently adequate degree. read more

I did not have a good experience with this venue. I've booked it a long time before my event and 3 months before event, there was a big conflict and when I asked them for a new date, they said I will lose my $1000 deposit. They had more than enough time to rebook it and I know they actually did because it was plenty of time . As a result I left them and book it at Bella Blanca. Much nicer venue. I lost my deposit unfortunately since they were not willing to work with me and not giving my deposit back even when they rebook my original date, a big rip off. At the end, I was much happier at my other venue, much more pleasant people to work with. If you are planning a date in this venue, just know nothing can be changed even if you do it long before. It has set in stone per their contract. Its ridiculous. I am not recommending this venue to anyone. read more

He ensured us from the beginning everything we pictured would come to life the way we envisioned and he and his team exceeded all of our expectations. The venue is beautifully lit up with lights you can fully customize with Steve to get the perfect look you desire prior to your big day. My daughter's quince was this past Saturday. My complaints are with Steve who we signed our contract with a year ago. We were told they do a mock cake but it's custom decorated how we want, I bought a specific topper, requested fresh flowers on it only to come in the day of the event to a plastic cake! It was dirty looking and chipped just the ugliest thing, what an eye sore. Our court main table was changed without notifying me and of course the kids didn't fit because my daughter's dress was big so kids were cramped. He tried to tell me the original long table didn't fit yet there was space to shift the ugly cake tabl I used one of their photo booth contacts and getting a quince frame design was a nightmare we ended up with a new year's theme one only because it was the night before our event and had no option but I had been asking months prior for samples. I feel it was the communication with Steve that led to these issues. The venue is beautiful, wait staff was amazing. Clean spacious bathrooms. Food was good and served family style. I recommend if booking here to have every detail in writing so that you get exactly what was promised. Ask about extra fees as I was surprised when I wanted to bring in outside vendors and they requested cleaning deposit, event insurance and if you want to use the big screen that they newly installed to project an image for the night. read more

I attended as a guest. The layout was comfortable. The interior had a nice design, as well as lighting. There is a foyer area where they set up a bar for your guests to mingle and enjoy drinks both before and during the main event. Bathroom was remodeled and clean. The food was not the best, but perhaps it was because of what the hosts ordered. Meat/chicken platter with rice was one platter for a table of 10+. Temperature of food was on the cold side. Staff removed plates with food on them while the guests were dancing, so we came back and had nothing to eat; meanwhile, the main dishes were also removed from the table and it was only 11 pm approximately when that happened. I thought the side dishes were somewhat unique - kubbe was very tasty, for example, as well as cheese-filled puff pastry. read more

I personally chose Allure for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah because 1) The attention and care and the pleasant management ( Steve is the best FYI :-) ) 2) Gorgeous venue 3) Great food 4) Very convenient for us and guests location. On the day of our event I was shockingly surprised how EVERYONE at Allure exceeded our expectations. We definitely felt we got way beyond of what we paid for. The stuff, the kitchen, the bartenders, security, valet parking and of course the management was always there to make sure that our event went smoothly. The food was delicious and timely, sushi bar was outstanding, desert table was so good that kids ate it immediately. The cleaning crew kept everything very clean. At the end of the event we got a lot of our untouched food to go beautifully packaged and carefully put in our car. We will be definitely back for our younger daughter's Bat Mitzvah. read more

By looking at the rest of the reviews, it seems like the only good reviews are those by middle easterns I can confirm if you are any other race, they will NOT gaf about you. Coming here after years when I had my quince back in 2019 at this venue and I can say the day was a complete disaster from the start of the party. The seating charts my mom and I spent days working on weren't even close to accurately displayed on the tv. The table cloth we asked for was a linen ivory cloth and we received a VELVET textured cloth! The cake we requested looked absolutely NOTHING as we showed them. It was supposed to be gold drops along the sides and it looked like chunky dog shit falling down the plain white fondue cake (btw we asked for a pink/white ombre FROSTING cake). The tables we wanted for our cake and my court was given to the other party next door since they have 2 rooms. The food was not as we requested at ALL and was completely different from our tasting day. The photo booth they offered as part of their package was a joke. The pictures came out dark and the photo booth attendants were smoking in the bathroom. Onto the worst part, the servers dropped glass and left it unattended for my little sister to step on it. The manager who was supposed to be there the day of was no where to be found and turned up randomly out of nowhere. Finally after my parents had a meeting with the manager about these ridiculous mistakes, he proceeded to tell them he cannot do anything about it and did not give a portion of a refund. I came here for a quinceañera the venue was absolutely gorgeous but the food portions were honestly really bad they gave a small portion of food for a table of 10 it's pretty bad what makes it worse is that it didn't even taste good, maybe thats why they do it. TLDR: catered our wedding:: great price, perfect service, best wedding food EVER, and finally: FOG MACHINE FTW. Cannot recommend them enough. We went with David at Allure to cater our wedding which took place at The Smogshoppe. After our tasting - which by the way is meant to feed 8 with leftovers for all, so don't make our mistake and just show up the two of you - where David and staff served and explained their "classic" dishes, we paid our deposit and secured the date. We opted for family style service with 3 meats and an emphasis to have vegan and vegetarian options, stationary and passing appetizers, packaged to include their alcohol service as well. The price was amazing, so we really were not expecting to get this much food for such a great price, never mind to get this QUALITY. David said we could finalize the menu closer to the date once we had final numbers so it was a huge help. We still had leftovers for days but they were all delicious. It's been a few months since the wedding, and EVERY guest commented on how amazing the food was. My only regret is that I did not get to give enough of a thank you to Allure and their staff for their excellence. read more
