Orange Blossom came recommended from a friend who was recommended from someone else, and all of them had A+ experiences. But where do we even begin with Brin!! The quick review: highly recommend because of Brin. Our wedding could not have turned out the way it did without her. And our experience planning, as well as our experience on the day of, could not have been what it was without her. We love you Brin! The long review: it's hard to find someone to trust for such a huge day, but we absolutely made the right decision with OBSE. Specifically Brin. Right from the start her vibe and personality meshed well with us. She and OBSE were also accommodating in adjusting our pricing based on what we needed and didn't need (for example, we already landed on a venue and caterer, so wouldn't need help with that). Brin was super organized and we were provided with timelines and checklists- as someone who needs this in my everyday life, this was extremely helpful. It was easy to get in touch with Brin and she did all the heavy lifting reaching out and sourcing vendors for us. We also regularly did meetings as needed. Leading up 2-3months out from the wedding day, I was procrastinating rather horribly and Brin was SO patient but also SO helpful on checking in and keeping us on track with what needed to be done. And then when the wedding was around the corner, she put together very detailed timelines for the day and for the wedding party, she organized the entire processional seamlessly, guided rehearsal day perfectly, coordinated with all our vendors (I know perfectly because I think we barely even saw or heard anything related to that), and set everything up exactly as envisioned the day of. I woke up without a worry that day and Brin kept it worry free all the way through! She had an amazing emergency box prepped for the wedding party, kept things on schedule, packed up our personal items/gifts and placed it in our shuttle home after, and handled wrapping up and cleaning up with our other vendors. We truly did not have to think and could just enjoy our day! She even did a post mortem with us, which I really appreciated. Brin is the best! read more

Very last minute our wedding venue told us we needed a day-of coordinator. It wasn't something mentioned to us before. We had already done all the footwork, booked vendors, had the timeline done and sent to vendors, planned, etc.... EVERYTHING was done! We were trying so hard to find a place that understood the situation and that we didn't need an over all planner/coordinator but a day-of coordinator. Lily from Orange Blossom stepped up to the plate and did a phenomenal job!! She understood that we just needed someone there the day of and she never once overstepped or made us feel stressed. She followed our wishes perfectly and made sure our timeline was fulfilled to a T! Lily is extremely professional, patient and kind. She goes above and beyond on the day and made sure nothing went wrong!! We greatly appreciate Lily for taking us on as clients and being so easygoing, organized and kind! We worked with Janna from OBSE for our Labor Day wedding weekend this year and she did a PHENOMENAL job! We truly had the best wedding weekend that went off without a hitch. We somehow got struck with rainy weather on our wedding weekend (unexpected and unheard of in LA during that time of year) and Janna was calling/texting us promptly as we were deciding if we needed a Plan B. Luckily the weather ended up clearing up during our events, but we so appreciated Janna's willingness to think through other options if needed. She was also extremely responsive, texting or calling back immediately to answer any questions. Our wedding was a multicultural Indian/Jewish wedding with two ceremonies and a complicated timeline of events. My husband and my number one concern was that the timeline would be way off schedule. Janna Takeyama was the MOST thoughtful, caring, and organized wedding planner/coordinator, and everything for our wedding weekend was so beautifully executed!! I honestly couldn't have asked for more - our ceremony and reception turned out beautifully. The decor was stunning, even more beautiful than the inspo pics I originally shared with Janna. The guests have continued to comment it was the best wedding they've been to for the attention to detail, delicious food, fun things to do, everything, which is beyond my biggest hope for the day - I owe all this to Janna. The team for the day-of (Brin & Lily) made sure everything was set up exactly as we had talked about, and the aesthetic of how they arranged everything was perfect. The all-important schedule ran on time all day, and even when my new husband and I needed more time to visit tables, the OBE team found a way to get our schedule back on track. If anything went wrong in the setup or during the day, I had no idea; I was relaxed and left to just soak in the day with my new husband, bridesmaids, family and friends. Throughout the process, Janna continually made me feel supported, cared for, and excited. Something that stands out about her is the way she listened to my ideas, and found ways to integrate everything into our vision for the day. She quickly understood from the very beginning what we were going for, and even in the first steps of looking at venues, I could tell that Janna and my fiancé & I were on the same page. I choose to inquire with Orange Blossom Special Events because they seemed to have so many raving reviews. Now, I'm not writing to say that they are not wonderful, but I think it's important for others to be aware that maybe you might encounter an unfortunate experience like mine. I originally reached out around April 18/19th and received a reply back in less than 24 hours from Janna Takeyama. (Wonderful! I was so excited!) I wrote her back, thanking her for writing me back and provided her with my availability to discuss working together. Then unfortunately, that is when I was ghosted. I reached out on April 30th stating that first and foremost I hope she was well and okay. Secondly, I stated that due to not receiving any communication, I felt that that this wasn't a company that I felt was a right fit for us. Now, maybe I'm in the minority but I thought maybe I would receive a reply after this email but again... crickets. I never did receive a response. So, all in all, the company was not the right fit for me because I couldn't depend on them to email me back, let alone plan my wedding but for those of you that have had a wonderful experience, I am truly happy that they communicated and worked out for you. read more

My fiancé and I were introduced to Orange Blossom through our wedding venue because we were required to have a Day Of Coordinator for our October wedding. Our Day Of Coordinator was suppose to be Jenny. As part of our package, we received a list of referrals for wedding vendors from Orange Blossom but nothing more, as we they were only hired for day-of services. My fiancé and I were actually putting the final touches on wedding plans and had already sent out our Save-the-Dates when the pandemic hit. Since we were planning an October wedding, we didn't think that the lockdowns and restrictions would affect us. However, as the months passed we were forced to cancel our 125-person wedding because of the regulations set in place by the Los Angeles County. The ONLY reason we cancelled our large wedding is because we were forced to. My fiancé and I work on the frontlines and are well aware that this pandemic isn't going anywhere any time soon and therefore we didn't feel comfortable rescheduling our wedding for fear of the health and safety of our family and friends, as well as losing more money. In light of the pandemic all of our vendors were extremely understanding and offered either half or full refunds as they understood that this is out of all of our control. When I approached Jenny, our Day Of Coordinator about our situation and being forced to cancel the wedding, she was very short with us and told us that our contract would not allow for a refund of any kind. In the end, no services were rendered from Orange Blossom and we still did not received any kind of refund nor did Jenny even attempt to come to a fair resolution. read more

We had a perfect wedding and it was all because of Orange Blossom. They have been our champion over the last 2 years and we could not be more grateful. 2 reschedules and 3 wedding dates over the pandemic and they were with us through it all. Nicole, Brooke, and Christy stayed positive, calm, informative, and really made sure at the end of the day that they are facilitating a human experience. Clarity is king when it comes to planning and they are crystal clear every step of the way. From the first stages with Nicole talking about dates and preferred vendors, they were communicative on every pros and con and helped us build an incredible early plan. When it was clear the pandemic was going to reschedule everything, they jumped right in, made us feel like their only client (even though we're sure they had SO many other folks to deal with), and helped us renegotiate our contracts dates, etc. Then...the pandemic had another surge. And we rescheduled everything all over again. Nicole stayed positive, reaffirmed what's important, and gave us a clear plan. She was truly an inspiration on how a wedding planner can balance professionalism and human connection especially in such a chaotic time in our lives. Christy's designs absolutely blew us away. From the overall aesthetic palette to the stationary to the day-of signage and everything in between, we were blown away. Most importantly, her designs felt tailored to US, to what WE would like. It's so easy to get stuck in the weeds on the designs because you can go down to the minute detail, but Christy was always able to take a step back and help us focus on the big picture. The weeks, days leading up to the wedding and day-of was a perfect blend of mindfulness and time management. Brooke stayed on top of every element, and I'm sure she put out fires we were not even aware of. She was so on top of the flow and schedule of the whole night. We simply did what she directed us to do and we were so grateful for it. Brooke really filled us with confidence from the very start of the night and we had the absolute perfect wedding. Wedding planning is so weird. You enable folks to realize the setting of their perfect union but everyone has their own aesthetic choices and priorities. Orange Blossom is like a commissioned artist and the wedding is a blank canvas. They shape every stroke around what is communicated and makes sure that they're creative enough to give options that one did not even think is possible. A+, amazing to work with!!! My wife and I worked with Janna for our wedding. Conventional wisdom around weddings is that you always hit unpredictable speed bumps on the wedding day. Turns out that's only true if you don't have a good coordinator. If you do have a good coordinator, like we did, the experience feels seamless. Our day was beautiful. Janna managed everything perfectly, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. If there were speed bumps or hiccups, I never learned about them. Janna was so good that her work was invisible; whatever issues came up were resolved before I realized they were there. It gave me the freedom to be totally present and emotionally open on the wedding day. There was nothing for me to do except show up with my full self and experience it. I can't put a price on that. Janna Takeyama and Orange Blossom ruined our wedding. Hiring her was one of the worst decisions of my life, and knowing what I know now, I would have paid to not have her at my wedding. She has no concern or effort for your wedding, absolutely no attention to detail, she is completely unresponsive, and dangerously careless. Below are just some of what she did wrong, and if you want proof or more details before you consider booking her, please reach out, as I have the receipts. We had plant-based desserts for our vegan guests and gluten free desserts for our guests with Celiac disease. Janna was told about this, and the desserts were clearly labeled. She then mixed them up and mislabeled them; had I not discovered it in time, we would have had a medical emergency due to her dangerous carelessness. It took weeks for her to answer emails leading up to the wedding, even ones that would have taken about 1 minute to respond. This continued in the month right before our wedding; we would follow up with her and just get ghosted. When we received our timeline, almost everything was wrong on it (even our wedding date!), and we had to do it ourselves for her. She relayed that our vendors had questions for us, but did not relay key answers to them. Luckily, we realized how bad she was doing and reached out to most of our vendors ourselves, otherwise it would have been even worse. There were dozens of details that we specifically told her about that she didn't deliver on. She'll acknowledge what you say, but she isn't writing anything down or remembering what you talked about. Our wedding party speeches are not recorded because of her, even though she was explicitly told to record them using our phones she had in her possession. Her assistant threw away $100s of items that she was explicitly told to keep. We spent so much time, effort, and energy planning every detail, only to have her mess everything up. We worked with planners Danielle and Ella from Orange Blossom for our wedding in October of 2022. Hiring this team was, by far, the best investment we made for our wedding at Cielo Farms. Danielle is, to put it plainly, incredibly freaking good at her job, and if you are able to hire her for full planning (in addition to the day of coordination), you will not regret it. With a background in film production, she handles detail, organization, and high-stress situations with grace and care. From the other reviews, you can see just how wonderful this team is in helping to bring to life your vision, and I wanted to add some specific things they did that really went above and beyond. 1. Budget Tracking - Danielle put together a fantastic spreadsheet that was consistently updated as we went about making choices. She was highly respectful of our limits and helped us weigh each decision with precision and care. She was fully honest with feedback on what she felt we should spend more or less on, to hit our total budget. I never once felt unnecessarily pressured to do anything, and truly felt that we were getting her genuine advice as an experienced friend. 2. Vendor Communication - They tracked all of our vendors, reviewed contracts, and ensured our vision was properly communicated. They saved us ample time having to go through yelp reviews and make guesses; they instantly collated all the best vendors they knew, saving us so much time and energy. Of course, we gave feedback and went back and forth on choosing who to work with, and they listened and applied all of our requests. Specifically for our wedding, we actually took a full week off to do nothing but plan (months in advance). They set up all of the meetings back to back, traveled all over the city with us, and no joke, we had 80% of the wedding planned by the end of the week, and were able to, for the most part, relax and enjoy our engagement for the remaining months ahead of the wedding! 3. An understanding of traditions and timing - I am not a girl who grew up knowing exactly how she wanted her wedding, and I knew absolutely nothing about wedding customs or expectations. OBSE was able to help us navigate between our vision while also incorporating traditions and family expectations (and customary etiquette, such as when to send invites, website details, etc.) 4. Day of Support - Our wedding was postponed multiple times due to the pandemic, and on the day of our wedding, there was a threat of rain at our completely outdoor venue. This was our nightmare, given that we had chosen to get married outdoors in LA since it rarely rains here. Danielle patiently walked us through all of the options and made a plan that did not compromise the integrity of our original vision -- we clear-tented everywhere except the ceremony area, and it was a fantastic choice for everyone's comfort (and the pictures turned out stunning). I could not imagine making this decision without her experience and calm approach. She woke up at 6 am on the wedding day to connect with us and finalize. And then, the rest of the day was truly perfect. OBSE staff was highly attentive and multiple steps ahead each step of the way. They made our family feel like A-list celebrities and handled all of their own individual requests just beautifully. We truly look forward to working with Danielle and her team at our family's future tentpole life events. Danielle was our day of coordinator - she's nice enough and did an ok job but I was relying on her to make sure everything went off without a hitch and it didn't. I think the best thing she did for us was recommend good vendors and create a detailed timeline for the wedding - everything did run on time... I'll give credit where it's due She bustled my wife's dress incorrectly and ripped the lace, didn't catch a tip cup the bartender snuck out, let the caterers eat our food, never saved us any of our own wedding cake, got into an argument with my sister in law and then never told us they weren't able to cut the challah on the dance floor (my grandfather cut it basically in the bushes behind all the tables) she said she couldn't fit the table through... The last straw was her siding with our caterer on some seriously egregious mistakes they made that caused us embarrassment and frustration on our own wedding day...you want your planner to stand up for you not your caterer. Splurge on a higher end planner - you don't want to have to worry about anything falling through the cracks at your own wedding. I think for $3000 she's more of a good value than a good planner. My husband and I hired Brooke to be our day-of coordinator for our wedding. She was very attentive and always responded to our e-mails immediately. She answered all of our questions and gave us good suggestions for the issues we presented to her. Even after the wedding was over, we had questions and she responded right away to our e-mails. To me, that is a sign that she wants to please her clients and actually cares about her job, instead of just working hard up until the moment she's been paid. Most of the vendors Brooke suggested to us were great, with the exception of our catering company, Tender Greens. I've reviewed Tender Greens as well (Hollywood and Pasadena locations) and I would not recommend using them to cater your wedding. read more

To this day I am at a loss for words when describing our wedding day because it was truly magical. OBSE is, in my opinion (and I know many would agree with me) the absolute best in the industry and I am so fortunate to have worked with Brooke and her team. From start to finish, every detail was considered, and there is a productive calm in every aspect of the planning that is rare and creates the perfect event. Danielle and her team delivered on every front. There is something about connecting with a coordinator who understands what you want, and is able to execute the event without a hiccup in sight. I was unsure of whether we would need a coordinator for our smaller riding, but it was truly the best decision that we made. Janna was such a delight to work with. I could never imagine all the thought and planning that goes into coordinating a wedding, but she made it look so easy and had a smile the entire time. This is a long overdue review of Brooke, Janna and the whole OBE team! Truly incredible from start to finish. We had 3 wedding cancellations in Toronto due to COVID and planned an October 2021 wedding in LA in 3 months time...entirely from scratch. New country, new city, new vendors, everything! Brooke heard our story and immediately said she'd do whatever she could to help make our big day finally become a reality! She never seemed overwhelmed or stressed. She was extraordinarily organized, both in planning and day-of. She thought of every little detail and was one step ahead of us the whole time. Brooke hears your budget and helps you stick to it. This is very rare with a planner. If you tell her your ideas, she is honest about what's possible and not; she finds vendors that fit within the budget; and, she will do whatever she can to get you the best deal. Brooke is also known for responding to emails within minutes. This is 100 percent TRUE. It's wild! I don't know how she does it but not a single email went more than 5 minutes without an answer. Most importantly, Brooke is sincere, kind, warm - and just an overall pleasure to work with. PS. This might be my first ever review, but Brooke and OBE deserve it. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I can't imagine having planned my wedding without them. Brooke brought 5 associates day-of and we worked with Janna quite a bit too - everyone was outstanding. Wish we could give more than 5 stars for Orange Blossom. We hired a day of coordinator and were blessed with the amazing Janna to help us navigate our wedding. To be totally honest, we had a small, low-key, and low budget wedding and I was 100% skeptical that spending the $$ on a coordinator was worth it, because I was feeling like, 'what is there to coordinate?'. The answer is SO MUCH you guys, so. much. to. coordinate. Janna was a dream, in the last months leading up to the wedding (when we did about 90% of our planning) we remarked nearly daily to each other how thankful we were that we had Janna. Whether it was coordinating with vendors, answering frantically written emails with massive lists of questions, doing a walk through of the venue with us, or thinking of things we would have never thought about, she came through time and time again and made the planning process SO much less stressful. We had a pretty untraditional vision for our wedding, and Janna respected that and really helped to bring together a day that was polished and beautiful but also casual and stress free and very 'us'. On the day of she made sure we didn't have to think about anything and was such a kind and pleasant presence along with her assistant. Our wedding was a total dream (just above and beyond any expectations we had about it), and we have Janna and Orange Blossom to thank for that. My husband and I were convinced that we didn't need a wedding coordinator and for the most part, we got by planning everything ourselves for our December 2012 wedding. However, we decided to get a "Month-Of"/"Day-Of" Coordinator since the date was creeping up and we realized that we didn't want to be in charge (or put a family member or friend up to the task instead of enjoying the day with us) and so we met with Brooke. Hiring a day-of coordinator had never even crossed my mind during the start of wedding planning. As the months progressed though and we realized just how much work there was to be done on the day of that of course we couldn't handle, along with the recommendation from our officiant, we hired Brooke! Best decision ever! There's so much that goes into wedding planning, and on the day of, well its supposed to be your day! So having someone like Brooke that can be there for you for everything is wonderful! Brooke is absolutely amazing and has all the qualities you would want in a wedding coordinator! she took care of everything from start to finish and we didn't have to worry about anything! The wedding party was gathered at the correct time before the ceremony and everyone walked down the aisle at their appropriate times. My mother actually missed her cue to walk down the aisle at my sister's wedding, so it absolutely essential that she didn't miss her cue at mine! She doesn't have any other children other than the 2 of us! The aisleway was beautifully decorated and the musicians were all set up. All the decorations from the ceremony were taken to the reception where they were put on display. Brooke took care of all the gifts and cards and made sure we had everything we needed at the end of the night! No need to worry about the cake stands or the gifts just lying out. She took care of everything and guided everyone to do what they were supposed to be doing. A perfect job! I can't imagine my wedding without Brooke at all! The entire day went amazingly well and ran so smoothly. None of my family members had to worry about anything, well except for the ushers and gift table people and their own cameras. Are you obsessively organized, type-A, getting married, and want to enjoy your wedding day instead of stressing yourself out (because you're type-A, that's what you'd do)? From the beginning Brooke and Danielle (the coordinator we ended up working with) differentiated themselves with their responsiveness and professionalism. Although we hired them for day-of-coordination (DOC) only, Danielle went way above and beyond throughout the planning process and gave us advice on vendors and timeline (my partner and I haven't been to many weddings, so she had to field a lot of, "...and what exactly does a First Dance/Grand Entrance/Wedding in general INVOLVE?!") helped us wrangle vendors, and was generally a calming influence on my slightly eye-twitchy excel-spreadsheet mania. The proof is in the pudding of course, and the day of the wedding went incredibly smoothly! I'm a bit of a control freak, but when I walked into the venue and saw the buzz of activity, and saw Danielle overseeing everything, I was finally able to take a deep breath and relax. I don't know how we would have gotten through our wedding without Brooke. We got married on January 3rd at the Carondelet House. She is one of their preferred vendors and it's easy to see why! Brooke is an absolute godsend and wonderful to work with. We hired her as a day-of coordinator (her Lantana collection), but she went well above and beyond what we ever expected, asked for, or paid for! We wish we could have paid her double! Every time I emailed her with a strange request, she was quick to respond with a "yes!" She was more than accommodating and made me feel like I was her only bride throughout the entire planning process. Not only did she coordinate every single little tiny detail on the day of our wedding, from picking up the rental linens, moving furniture, filling vases with flowers, setting up our guest book, and making sure we were both comfortable, she also attended our layout meeting with Carondelet House and helped us figure out a difficult arrangement for furniture, she facilitated our wedding rehearsal, and even took all our wedding supplies home at the end of the night so we could run off and enjoy ourselves. Not only is she detail-oriented, and organized, she is also the sweetest and nicest person to work with! She put me at complete ease. If you are getting married in Southern California and you're not hiring Brooke and Orange Blossom Special Events... you're a fool! What can I say about Brooke (owner) and her team that hasn't already been mentioned. She's the preferred vendor for Carondelet house and after working with her I can see why because she literally knows everything about the place and you can essentially ask her questions instead of emailing the venue people because she's done numerous weddings there. One thing is I felt like we had a friend on our side to help us throughout the day of the wedding and help took over a month prior in regards to coordination of all our vendors and that was amazing since I was graduating with my doctorate a week prior to my wedding and had a million other things to focus on. Brooke is always prompt in responses and will tell you her true opinion and offer advice base on her expertise. She will not charge you more than what was quoted initially when you meet even if you later on decide to change things because she thinks that's unethical. I've done a few interviews prior to selecting Brooke and other wedding coordinators didn't have the same ethical standards of business and some would charge for anything that would change or be added on after the initial meeting, which didn't put me at ease knowing I could get a big bill later. She was able to make everything I wanted happen on the day of and set up all my DIY stuff exactly as asked and her assistants were so nice and great to work with they're an extension of her essentially. read more

I had already picked the caterer, but I needed help coordinating the event especially since I was planning from out of state. Danielle was my coordinator and she took so much care with my wedding and every little detail. The day of my event I didn't have to worry about anything.
