I had a very frustrating experience with this office. I was told by the dentist to come in at 9 AM for xray scans related to my wisdom teeth removal, but I ended up waiting until around 11 AM despite trying to tell the receptionist I need to do scans. The front desk made no attempt to convey to the dentist that I arrived for the scan, and the dentist asked why I didn't come in at 9 AM. I was then informed that my insurance did not cover them and that I would have to pay out of pocket. This was never clearly explained to me beforehand. What made the experience even worse was being told afterward that I still needed additional CT scans before they could even proceed with the wisdom teeth removal and they said they couldn't even do it today after waiting 2 hours and paying $176. They also said they may need to do additional scans after since I'm past the age of 16 years old and wisdom teeth removal isn't normal after 16, but they KNEW my age when I scheduled this appointment and filled their forms online. I feel like the communication about costs, treatment, insurance coverage, and required imaging should have been handled upfront before making me wait for hours and completing scans that apparently were not sufficient. These people completely wasted my time. The entire incompetency of this office was quite appalling. The front desk also seemed like they didn't care at all and the male dentist was extremely rude and unprofessional. Patients deserve clear information about pricing, insurance, and treatment requirements before services are performed. They already robbed me of $176 dollars and expected $150 out of me just for the CT scans. I expected my wisdom teeth to be removed today but they completely wasted my time and stole $176 dollars from me. Don't waste your time with these people they are rude, unprofessional, and suck at communicating. Absolutely ridiculous! I should have listened to the reviews of this place being a terrible establishment. Go anywhere but here, it will save you time and money. I was honestly happy I didn't have to get my teeth pulled from here just by their attitude and incompetency, it seems like they aren't qualified to do literally anything. I also plan to report them to the Board of Registration in Dentistry and if you had a horrible experience here--you should report them too! This place is so garbage it actually made me download yelp to leave this review , i got 7 broken brace brackets and they have done nothing to fix them instead they did a temporary fix which led to my old 2 broken brackets to break the entire row . they are so clumsy and garbage never go here i hate the customer service too , never go here they suck ! read more

A lot of improvement needed in this place. I've been coming to Allure since 22' it took them until April of last year to even acknowledge how one of my teeth is growing in the wrong way. All they said when they acknowledged that a 17 almost 18 year old tooth still hasn't surfaced was that they'd keep an eye on it? (Keep in mind my tooth on the top row is fully grown out at this time.) So I trusted the professionals. But after some time I started to get pain on my gums- and not from my tooth on the bottom surfacing but because the tooth on top had nothing to press against to stop it from growing (so now my top tooth is overgrow). They acknowledged it again at my December appointment said I needed to be referred to ortho (they never even helped me make that appointment? It wasn't until my mom came with me when I needed a filling that she pressed about the referral that they never made an appointment for that they booked me for March. (It took them a whole year to START a solution.) Now my dentist said the person for my referral will either pull both my top and bottom (mind you I have wisdom teeth in there also which I'm hoping never cause me trouble because that's so many extractions!!!) or they remove the tooth that never surfaced and put an implant in. My last issue with this place is that they do not numb you good enough I always seem to have pain when they do a filling. The only good thing is that their fillings last a long time I've only had one come off from flossing but that's kind of expected. Let's hope everything goes well at this next appointment but I'm genuinely considering getting a new dentist because it seems like they wait for things to worsen- not help you just get better. read more

This is going to be a two part review this part is initial impressions and common concerns that I feel many other people may have. The second review will be after the oral surgery is complete and I am no longer owner of any of my own teeth just a set of dentures (im in my early 30s by the way) Why write such a detailed review about a dentist? We'll because I am deeply dental-phobic. I hate the feeling of teeth and metal against them. I hate the feeling of certain things in mouth; like cotton and newspaper. UGH GIVES ME THE CREEPS!. Long and short of it, I hate the dentist, the smells, the Novocain and the spit cup, X-rays, the finished mazes in the waiting room HIGHLIGHTS Magazine, JUST ALL OF IT. But so far Allure Family Dental has not caused me to lose sleep over these appointments. I leave the offices sometimes with a smile. oooo a smile?! Whoop di do!!!! Well about me. I am a highly anxious person, years of avoiding the dentist, coupled with vitamin D and calcium deficiencies have made my teeth look like those of an active "stereotypical methamphetamine chronic user." This is not something over embellished in my head I had been actually asked about my apparent meth addiction. This made me never want to leave the house and was overwhelmed at the amount of work I imagined it would take to return my smile to its former glory. Enter Allure Family Dental. The staff was not judgemental and after hearing my concerns were extremely empathetic to my cause and very careful of how procedures would be conducted and the upcoming steps in the appointment to help ease my mind. I met with Dr Gusar and was immediately floored, the man was knowledgeable, very intuitive concerning my worries and had a warm professional way of completely eliminating them. My case was one that was complicated and he was open to make time in order for my procedure to be done by him. (It was a case in which he had a little plethora of experience and could provide me with the best case situation from start to end. Now all dentists are good, they are doctors, it takes an above average individual to excel in such a field however, Dr Gusar had such a calming and genuine demeanor that after my first appointment I was not even nervous to go to the dentist. (When you have panic attacks for years simply due to the appointment being the next day.. that sense of relief is welcomed. After three years and four orthodontist so far- the communication is terrible. I would not recommend this practice to anyone

In a lot of pain. My crown was causing me horrible pain! Went to urgent care before finding Allure. Went on Antibiotics from urgent care. Have a appt with Allure dental. A lot of x-rays taken, told I need my wisdom teeth out before treating my crown. Make appt not till SEPTEMBER till wisdom tooth out. Come back again still in horrible, unbearable pain! As a single parent this made life hell! I was told I had to wait... gave me a number for another surgeon. NOTHING! I WAS DONE! I couldn't eat or drink, its dog days of summer and exhausted! Go to another dentist, 1 x-ray and they said your crown needs to come off immediately!! My tooth was infected and the crown was no good! Allure Dental did nothing. I was suffering and their like take Tylenol and Motrin I was taking 1000mg and 800mg Motrin and antibiotics what more do I need to do! Horrible! No one calls you back when they say text the office, the phone just rings, very unorganized and chaotic! FIX my pain that's your service, have a solution instead of making me suffer! I have been a long time Allure patient, as well as my children. We originally came to Allure because I have a child with Autism and severe anxiety, as well as dental related trauma. Any procedure more than a cleaning requires extensive sedation or even general anesthesia. We have been to multiple facilities for procedures, we are not new to dental work. When we first came to Allure we had Dr. Greico, who was fabulous. Over the years we have seen many different dentists and been relatively pleased with them all, although in the past 2 years we have noticed a decline in care depending on who the dentist is and if they're dealing with my special needs child vs neurotypical children. This office was recommended as one that treats children special needs. The week of December 3rd, my mother took my child to Allure because she had some pain in her tooth. I am pregnant and avoiding going many places. What ensued is majorly disappointing. A dentist whom I've never met, Dr. Patel, took a couple xrays, examined her, and began talking about root canals. When my mother asked some questions, the dentist did not commit to a reason as to why she needed not one but 2 root canals. Her Xrays from August at her orthodontist show no signs of any issues, her xrays from last year were also clear. It's very uncommon to have teeth go from needing nothing to needing a root canal in that short of time. He referred my daughter to the endodontist right upstairs from them (affiliation?) who doesn't offer any sedation and then tried to convince my child there was no need for anxiety as they numb the tooth with Novocain (tone deaf much?), clearly this dentist did not read my child's chart, AT ALL. He tried to minimize her legitimate anxiety. We did not in fact seek any opinion from the endodontist in the same building. I sought 2 second opinions and no one sees any indication she needs any root canal. Other than some sensitivity on one of the teeth in question, no infection or decay exists on teeth 19/20. She does have 2 smaller cavities on unrelated teeth. I called the office prior to seeking further opinion, I called December 4th to get clarification of what he saw exactly. TODAY, December 23rd, almost twenty days later, I received a call from the dentist returning my call, I asked why it took him so long to return my call? He said that he just found the note to call me back (unacceptable), and wanting to know if we saw the endodontist (no, because my mother told you she needed special care and clearly this endodontist wouldn't fit her needs, clearly you weren't listening), and I informed him that after second and third opinions, we were told no root canals were needed. His answer was "ok". I was so furious, I hung up. There has been A LOT of turnover at Allure in the past two years. Clearly, even though they are supposedly known to be good with children who have special needs and in the past may have been, those days are gone. Diagnosing a child with needing a root canal and caps (when no clear indication for the procedure exists) especially one who has paralyzing dental fear is unethical, immoral, and downright disgusting. As a long time patient I am beyond disappointed and as a fellow medical professional I am disgusted. We will be pursuing formal complaints against all involved parties. I hope it was worth it to attempt to purposely misdiagnose my traumatized special needs child. read more

Horrible experience with the oral surgeon. During our consult he was quick to recommend extractions and then seemed put off when we asked questions. We told him our daughter had a prior awful experience and he reassured us that this would be different and pointed out how. At today's extraction appt: I was not allowed to stay with her, she said he did not explain what he was doing as he went and that she could feel one of tge teeth being removed. We did not receive any post procedure documentation of what to do or what to expect and were just handed prescriptions to get filled. A lot of what was covered before she went in could have been covered during our consult. I would have known what foods and supplies to pick up beforehand. They also should mention that the oral surgeon bills differently than Allure so we were prepared with our medical cards, insurance, etc. Awful experience!!!! Allure canceled my crown-replacement appointment 5 times - after I had shown up! First, they had mis-scheduled the type of appointment. Second time, they said they couldn't find my records. Third time, the dentist had a family emergency. Fourth time, they said that it had been too long and they needed to clean my teeth first, so that had to be scheduled. Fifth time, although I was 30 minutes early, they had canceled my appointment and given it away to someone else because they said they had not been able to reach me to confirm. They didn't try too hard though - there were no voicemail messages. I offered to stay as late as necessary for the dentist to fit me in, but they said that would not be possible as the dentists never work late. Of course they didn't ask any dentists. Wait there's more. For one of my cleanings, when I called because I was stuck in traffic behind a car accident, they told me that if I were 10 minutes late they would cancel my appointment, no exceptions. read more

Awful service. Disorganized and rude staff. The lady at the front desk is rude, dismissive and doesn't give you any information. I booked an appointment for my husband for the 08/09 at 8am. The dentist didn't arrive until 9am and didn't see him until 9:30. She was also rude, saw him for 15 minutes, didn't talk to him, gave him a treatment plan of SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS - and no other options - and left. He asked the assistant "what if I jist want to remove the tooth?" And the assistant sent him to the ride lady at the front desk and said she would provide with numbers. Wait, WHAT? Despite some concerning reviews from previous patients, I decided to switch to Allure for my general dentistry and orthodontic work. So far I have had a mixed experience. It seems to me they genuinely want to do the right thing by the patient most of the time however there have been a few things which I have taken issue with. The main one being that when shaving down my teeth to open up space so they would be able to shift during the Invisalign process, a cap on one of my front teeth chipped off. When I brought this up, the initial reaction I received was that they had no way of proving it wasn't already like that. Once we took a look at the initial images taken as part of the Invisalign process and the trays themselves it became obvious it wasn't however when I suggested that I shouldn't have to pay for fixing it, they said they wouldn't fix it. After some discussion, we decided to wait until the Invisalign process was done and then take another look at fixing it so hopefully they will do the right thing. Additionally I have to say the amount of time it has taken for the Invisalign has been pretty excessive. It took over 8 months to get the actual trays from the start of the process. Update: the chip in my tooth has been fixed free of charge and I am continuing on the final stretch for Invisalign. Very happy this worked out well in the end! read more

While on vacation, visiting family in Massachusetts, I bit into a candy and lost a veneer on my front tooth. Allure Family Dental worked me in for a same day appointment, as a new patient; and I saw Dr. Matthews. I was so pleased with the service received I am compelled to share my gratitude towards this organization, and Dr.Matthews specifically. Dr. Matthews re-cemented my veneer back onto my tooth where it belonged and within 15 minutes my tooth was fixed. She did such a great job you would never know anything happened. I saw my Dentist at Allure family dental in April. At the appointment she told me that I grind my teeth. I was previously unaware and must do it at night while I'm sleeping. She said that a staff member from the office would look up night guard retainer information and get back to me. The dentist said that if I keep grinding my teeth they would turn into smooth surfaces and grind away. I waited and never heard back from the office for retainer information. I had another appointment the next month for a cleaning and asked again about the night guard. I was again told someone would be in touch. After a few weeks of hearing nothing I began to call and leave messages that were never returned. It is now almost August and I still have not heard about the retainer at this point it feels neglectful and like I have to harass them just for information that would help my teeth. I have spent a lot of money on my teeth and want to protect them. Dont go to this dentist If you care about your teeth. They dont! read more

Like most everyone, I'm not a fan of the dentist. I went here for the first time after moving to the area. Paige was my hygienist and she was awesome! The dentist himself (can't recall his name oops!) but he was super nice, both Took the time to explain everything to me and all in all it was a quick and PAINLESS experience. read more

This office and part of their staff are unprofessional and inarticulate, Grieko and his assistant are fraudulent, I use to take my children there and they would treat us wrong because we wouldn't agree with their suggestions as to servicing our children , they went as far as calling child services on us and making up all sorts of lies , they also billed our insurance for procedures our children didn't get done . This is very unethical ,and cruel to put families through this kind of stress . We got a second opinion and the other office didn't begin ro understand why they would want to do those procedures on our children . I would not recommend this office to any one who loves their children . I pray to God that dentist never gets to hurt any other family again . I have been taking my kids to Allure family dental for a year already and I am so glad I changed to them because every day every visit I like them more, my kids age 14 and 8 feel at home they treat us like family. English isn't my first language and they always make sure I understand every procedure my kids are facing. My girls general dentist is Joy-Ann S. Deane she is amazing she has also taken care of my mother and she never cease to amazed me; she's great at what she does my kids get a little anxious before visits or before extractions and she always makes sure to make them comfortable she uses the laughing gas which helps and which other dentists wont use and always makes the visit a pleasant one for them and for me as well she treat us like family; she usually has the same dentist assistant which I cannot remember her name right now but she is great as well.. the last two visit Gaby was the assistant and I got nothing but gratitude towards them they have helped my kids fight the fear of the dentist I don't have to convince them of going any more they love their dentist visit; my oldest is in the process of getting brackets now and we are looking forward to her beautiful smile their work is amazing!! please if you looking for a place to bring your kids this is IT :) read more

I can't give my opinion about the other Dentists at this office but the experience I had with Dr. Joy-Ann S. Deane was horrible. She is very rude and condescending. Not only was she rude to me but I noticed how she spoke to an assistant. She made me feel very uncomfortable and self conscious about my teeth because it had been a few years since I had seen the dentist. Regardless of how long it had been since I last saw a dentist it is not her job to put a patient down. Not to mention the pain I was in during the drilling she kept hitting the nerve and had to inject novocaine more than once. If you go to this office my advice is to ask for a different doctor other than her. read more

I can't say enough good things about this office. I've never enjoyed going to the dentist but Allure makes it such a good experience The receptionists, hygienists, and doctors are all so nice and genuinely love what they do. Everyone is so positive here. They make it so easy to book an appointment and you feel like every person involved is on the same page about your care, there are no holes in the communication line. The hygienists actually educate you about taking care of your teeth! You can tell that they take their jobs very seriously and they know your dental history thoroughly.
