My visits have been with Dr Chai (sp?). He is very intelligent and communicates well. I had an emergency visit for pain in a tooth that has a root canal. He diagnosed it properly and got me antibiotics to stop the infection. He gave me information to track down the possible underlying issue. This week, he did my cleaning. He was fast and competent. I highly recommend him. They have up-to-date equipment and pleasant staff.

Numbing agent did not work well, I felt everything. Dentist also did not use a mask and when he spoke I could feel saliva landing on my face. When we were finishing up he asked if my teeth bit down ok. I told him that I was not able to give him a good answer because my mouth was so sore. NOT NUMB. SORE. He said that was normal . A few minutes after I left I fould feel that my teeth were cutting me because the edges were so sharp. Then all of the sudden a chunk fell off in my mouth! Picture attached! I do not advise going here. He may seem like a nice guy to have a conversation with but I would advise him to consider retirement or a new profession. This was my last experience here.

A couple of years later I tried again, but this 2nd doctor told me that its root has fractured, so nothing can be done but to extract (which wasn't true as Dr. Johnston told me it's not at first glance...). Although it gave me a constant anxiety for about a year I'm so glad that I kept it and decided to see Dr. Johnston one last time. 3rd time's a charm and it's saved! Hooray!!!! I was actually looking forward to having mine! Why? Because I was in a lot of pain for a few weeks BEFORE having the procedure... I wanted it to stop! After some research on the web, I chose Dr. Aboushala based on his stellar reviews and credentials... and I'm so glad I did. Firstly, Dr. Aboushala is all about doing everything he can to save your tooth... I like that. I had a very large area of infection (hence the pain) and he affirmed that a root canal would be the right procedure. He did an amazing job... absolutely no pain. I've had a few root canals before, but this doctor is in his own league. He has a wonderful caring demeanor and explains everything he is doing. He is very deliberate and checks everything along the way in an exacting manor. He takes the time to make sure that everything he is doing is perfect. As the procedure advanced, his professionalism gave me the confidence that I would have a successful outcome. And I did! I was finished with the procedure around 12n and my tooth already felt so much better that night. I could eat soft foods with no problem, and pretty much anything I wanted a couple days later. I was ecstatic! After returning to the doctor's office for a check on it, everything was in good shape, as I expected. If you need a root canal, I can't recommend Dr. Aboushala more highly. He's quite special and I'm so glad I found him. I'm thinking of moving to Florida soon, but if I need a root canal in the future I will no doubt fly back to Boston to see this amazing man who does fantastic work and genuinely cares about his patients.

I called on a Thursday from a vacation because my dentist recommended a root canal ASAP. Dr. Aboushala's office was able to get me in first thing Monday morning. They explained how the insurance worked and took all my information so there wasn't much to do when I got there. Once confirmed that I did need a root canal, Dr. Aboushala said he could do it right then and was very gentle, explaining everything along the way. One thing I was concerned about was the discomfort of having your mouth open for so long, but he kept providing frequent breaks, which really made a difference. They explained clearly post-procedure instructions and worked with me to adjust them so they were right for me. The follow-up the next day was the icing on the cake. So while no one ever wants a root canal, if you have to have one, Dr. Aboushala and his office make it as easy as possible and I highly recommend them.

I had just had a root canal a few months before elsewhere and it took 2.5 hours and they did a mediocre job. Dr. Nagel's work healed great and my other dentist who did the bridge was very happy with his work as well. I've told my friends that if they ever need a root canal, Dr. Nagel should be their first choice.

If you go here make sure you "Request an Estimate"(From Christine, Manager). Apparently, the amount they tell you is a guess unless you request is to be official! Never heard of this before in the years of going to dentists. Watch out for the "Balance Past Due" bill for the amount that was not covered. I received this Bill with a colorful past due sticker not even 30 days after the procedure! very disturbing after the amount of Money that is already paid, to receive a bill! This is a very sad ending to a Stellar experience. Tom
