I didn't want to say anything, but we had 2 horrible experiences a few weeks ago at Childrens Dental. I brought my two children and we were late. It wasn't our fault there was a ton of construction. Fine. Even though we live quite a distance away I decided to be compliant and come back another time. The next appointment there was some issue with the doctor that had to leave and they couldn't see us anyway! They said they called me, but I never got a message. So, I'm driving close to 40mins each way (my ex started them here) with my two little kids and no matter what we do we can't seem to get an appointment here!! I understand wanting to be on time, but when people are coming from a distance and need service, you must have your doctors available. And to not even let me know, the doctor wasn't there that's just not ok! I'm sorry these might be the best dentists in the world, but their office staff and professionalism stinks. I would give this practice zero stars if that were possible on Yelp! I still can hardly believe what happened. My daughter had been receiving her dental care for her entire life at this practice. She had been getting twice yearly routine check ups, plus all the extras that go with braces, retainers, etc. My daughter is 20 now, and she had an issue come up at a routine check up, which apparently needed to be addressed by an adult dentist. They told her that she had no cavities, everything looked great, and gave us the referral. When we went to see the new dentist, he took one look in her mouth and asked us what the plan was to deal with her cavities. Turns out she had TWELVE cavities!!!!!!!! You read that right--TWELVE!!!!!! After being told just two weeks prior that she had NO cavities! Further, when the new dentist showed me the pictures, even I, who am in no way a dental professional, could tell just from looking that there were several cavities! Even worse than this, was that when I called the dentist from Children's Dental to discuss how this could have possibly happened, she took no responsibility for her very obvious and egregious mistakes, and tried to tell me that the other dentist was just "reading the x-rays differently" from her, and that she was a conservative dentist who didn't like to fill cavities too early, because the fillings would need to be replaced? What?!?!? I might buy that with one or two cavities, but twelve? If we had had this information along the way, my daughter might have been able to take some corrective action, but we had been consistently told that she had no cavities and was doing a good job! The final, horrifying piece is that when I was discussing the treatment plan for all the cavities with the new dentist, he let slip that the dentist from Children's Dental had said, when they spoke by phone (at my request) "How could I have missed these?" A very, very good question. For years, I thought that my daughter was getting appropriate dental care, and I'm gobsmacked to discover that my assumptions were not correct. This practice let me and my daughter down in a pretty unforgiveable way, and then refused to take any responsibility or ownership. read more

Staff is always super friendly! Have been amazing with our kids. Wish my dentist as a kid was amazing as them.

If you are looking for a pediatric dentist this is the place. We have been going here for over 15 years and we highly recommend them. The Dentists and dental hygienists are knowledgeable, competent, and great with kids. Also, they seem to always run on time! I hear stories about kids hating to go to the dentist but in my case they don't mind at all, and I even have one son who has an easily triggered gag reflex which has never been an issue while at Children's Dental. The front staff is also very accommodating. In our case our dental insurance has also always covered 100% of our costs. read more

We have 3 boys and have been coming to this practice for over 10 years and we love it! We are always greeted with a smile and they take such great care of the boys, recognizing that they each have different personalities and reservations. They realize that first cleanings and dental appointments can sometimes be intimidating and they know just what to do to to calm and reassure them. We have recently seen Dr. Bang and Dr. Cooper and they are wonderful. They explain everything in such great detail and have such warm personalities. My older son receives orthodontic care here as well and the staff is perfection. You can't go wrong at Children's Dental of Westford! read more

When your kids are excited about going to the dentist, you know you've found the right practice! We visit the Westford location, and everyone in the office is super friendly and patient. They can put even the most nervous kids at ease. We are always in and out in a very timely manner, but we never feel rushed. The dentists are very thorough and answer all our questions. We can't recommend this office highly enough! We feel very lucky to have found such a great dental practice! read more

Their dental services are ok. They ask to treat the children without parents which we didn't like but what upset us the most was their attitude when a billing dispute happened. My Son had been going to this dentist for a while. Recently, they suggested applying some coating to the teeth. I suggested my wife to make sure that Insurance would pay for it. She called the Dentist office and asked details of the treatment and she was given some teeth numbers. She then called insurance with those numbers and Insurance person said that this would be covered. When they went to the dentist office, she was given a form to sign which she did before the treatment. Apparently, this form had different teeth numbers than what she had got over the phone. Later, Insurance denied this claim as those teeth already had the treatment done earlier. What's worse is when we tried to discuss this with them, they became very rude and sent our bill to collection even before the deadline they themselves had specified in their letter. When we visited them, the office manager refused to talk to us and threatened to call police. I would strongly suggest to stay away for them. read more

Just saw an earlier post and can't believe the difference in service that I've seen from these folks for the past 15 years. I have 4 kids that all use their service and enjoy going there. The front office/admin staff is always very friendly. I'm always warned when there is something that they are not 100% sure will be covered. They will tell me ahead of time and then fight for me with the insurance companies to GET it covered. We first met Dr. Hackley as a customer and then continued seeing her at many events with her family in Westford. She's a very active person in the community which makes me even more comfortable with the business relationship. I've never had an issue (in 15 years) that made me question doing business with these folks. If you're from Westford, it's the best place to take your kids. read more

Childrens Dental has been our dentist for years now. I used to have the child that was petrified to go to the dentist until we came here. They calmed him down and made him feel comfortable as a little boy and now as a teenager, he has a wonderful relationship with everyone. My youngest runs down the hall when we get there cause he can't wait to have his teeth checked. read more

I agree with the previous person. This place is weird. My daughter was seeing dentist in westboro before she was 5, since she went to her daycare in westboro everyday. After 5, she has to go to Robinson so I had her see dentist in westford, which is Children's Dental. The first cleaning they found 20+ cavities and gave us a huge bill ($1500+). My daughter was seeing the dentist since she was 2. It surprised me that she had so many cavities that previous dentist did not tell us. So I called the childrens dental and say we would like to seek second opinion. Their response is like: you do not trust our diagnose? We do, but we would like to seek second opinion. Then they said if she were my daughter I will treat her immediately. Well she is not. When they know that we are taking my daughter to another dental office for second opinion, they sent us a letter saying we MUST call them before this date to cancel the appointment or $25 fee will apply. OK, I called them to cancel the appointment way before the deadline. Surprisingly, after deadline they called me and say we missed the appointment. What?? Since my daughter will get the treatment from her original dentist (they partially are responsible for this delayed treatment), childrens dental said that they do not welcome the patient that only does cleaning so they have to de-activate the account. My overal feeling about this place is not good. The front desk is not as cordial as other places. read more

Went in and signed paperwork for fillings. My 9yr. old subsequently shows me a box with his tooth on the ride home. I was never told that they are pulling a tooth. Thanks Children's Dental Associates! Called and talked to the Dentist, but I'm still pretty angry about the lack of communication before you pull a tooth from a kid. read more

Can't say enough great things about this office! Front desk staff is extremely friendly. Hygienists are competent, fun and so great with my kids. Dr Geller and Dr Bang are amazing dentists who go above and beyond to accomplish the treatment your child needs, try to make it as easy on the child (and parent!) as possible, and my children love seeing them!! We have been going to see Dr. Geller and Dr. Hackley for the past 10+ years and their service and knowledge is outstanding. They both have a caring nature and a great sense of humor to make the children feel comfortable in a dental atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, kind, knowledgable and understanding with all their patients. The treatment is very thorough and always of the highest quality. Every visit we have is fun and easy. We have 2 children, and neither one minds going to the Dentist at all, as the staff makes it very easy for them. read more

My son has a heart condition and multiple other complex medical issues. We need to keep his gums clean more frequently than the average child to prevent any infection from going to his heart. This is called endocarditis. He has been seeing Dr. Bang for routine cleanings and check ups. She does the job she needs to do, but I always felt she never really got the concept of some children being uncomfortable in a dentist's chair; especially, a child who has had multiple procedures and has been through a lot of physical pain in clinical settings. She has operating privileges t the children's hospital though, so if he needs a procedure requiring anesthesia, we felt this was a good fit, so that we have some continuity. I usually book morning appointments so that he does not miss any school time, but as he now has moved to a new school with an earlier time, I requested an afternoon appt. I was told that the dentist will not see him in the afternoon. Their policy is, if you have a child with special needs, there are only two time the child will be seen, either 8:15, or 12:30. The morning time is to see your child before other patients are there, and the latter is just prior to lunch when the other patients will be done for the morning. Your child will not be seen after school. When I stated this is not a child-centered policy, I was told this is for all the special needs children. When I explained the term child-centered means policies that reflect each child's needs rather than an office convenience, it seemed to have fallen on deaf ears. I was told, this way, the dentist can just focus on this child and not walk away and also have to work on another child. Who does that? I have never been to a dentist who works on one person's teeth and then gets up to work on another patient. I am a reasonable person, so I don't get into squabbles with office staff who are simply, doing what they are told to do. I asked for their office manager's name and number to discuss how discriminatory this policy is and how they can possibly change it. I was told she was not there and to try the Medford office. When I called the Medford office, they told me to call the Westford office. When I explained the Westford office already told me she was not there and to try them, there was no response. I then asked when they expected her to be back today and they said she travels between both offices and did not know. I might add, they did not offer to take a message for her to call me back, or to connect me to her voicemail, or take my email address, or give me her business email address, but told me to call both offices on Monday and Tuesday (today is Friday) and I should be able to get a hold of her one of those days. This is not acceptable. You might not care about this if you don't have a child with special needs. But I ask you to think about it like this: if you were told your child can only see the dentist during school hours (when no one else is around) and consider how that works with your child's school day, would you take your child to this practice or look for another practice? If you do have a child with special needs, look elsewhere. There is nothing exceptionally bad nor good about the office, but this policy is discriminatory, prompting me to now look elsewhere. We will now have to find another practice that will be further away, possibly the children's hospital in the city to have a clinic and dentist that actually understands the needs of a medically complex child and who likes to work with them. read more

One of the dentists are too rough on little kids, but the other staff members never had a problem with they are great.
