Great customer service at a clean and friendly shop in Burke. Allure offers full mani/pedi services - there is literally a menu of possible options for both manis and pedis. They offer gel, acrylic and SNS nails and have a huge assortment of colors- possibly the most I have seen in a single shop. The pedi lounge is in a spa, zen-like space with low lighting, massage chairs and soothing music. They use disposable plastic liners in the foot baths and that is a feature I really like. I've always had positive experiences at Allure Nail Bar, and am surprised I hadn't reviewed it before now! It's clean, nicely decorated, with coffee, water, and sodas at the front. They do traditional mani/pedis, gel, and SNS (powder), and the manicures and pedicures I've received have all been very nice. They have a very wide variety of colors available, a drying area, and all that good stuff. One of the few places that was open and had flexible, convenient hours, I was given an appointment almost immediately at Allure Nail bar. Being new to this area of NOVA, I was not sure where I wanted to go for a pedicure, but I suggested Allure Nail Bar to my mom as it was close to my home. She wanted to get me a gift card for my birthday. I walked in on an early weekend evening and was serviced quickly. Claudia did a thorough and neat job on my pedicure. I also had callus removal and exfoliation done leaving my feet very smooth. I loved the extra leg massage, and the back massage from the chair felt amazing. Everything seemed very clean and sanitized well. It had been about 2 years since I last stepped into a salon and was very pleased with my experience. While there was no quick dry bar, I was welcomed to sit in my chair and enjoy the back massager while I waited for my toenails to dry. The cost was $55 which is what I remember it being at my previous salon 2 years ago. I've been to Allure many times and always been impressed by the great service and reasonable prices. This last time I decided to try Gel-X extensions and Jojo did an incredible job. I showed her a photo of the color that I wanted and she picked out the exact right shade to match it. She was meticulous at every step to make sure the extensions fit each nail perfectly and that the shape and color were to my liking, and she was also very sweet and great to talk to! I have been to a large handful of them to get an idea of what is good though. I've been to Allure Nail Bar several times and I always leave feeling relaxed! They have a menu of manicures and pedicures to choose from. I typically come here for pedicures and they range from $32 to $95. I usually get the Green Tea or Lavender pedicure. These pedicures costs $48 and are SUPER relaxing. The last time I went I had the Charcoal Detox Pedicure, which was $55 and included a 10 minute foot massage. It was awesome! Every time I get a foot massage here I almost fall asleep from feeling so tranquil and stress-free. Allure also has a large selection of nail polish to choose from. So after having a baby I decided I needed a nail salon a little closer to home. I couldn't find one I liked in Reston so I decided to try this spot my mom goes to. I LOVED it! I made an appointment with Holly for SNS and a pedicure. She did a fabulous job. She took her time applying the powder and the end result is very smooth and no bumps or streaks. She is going on maternity leave in September but I will definitely keep coming to Allure. Everyone there was so nice and accommodating. My husband really liked his mani and pedi. I have only had my nails professionally done once and it was an acrylic manicure with french tips. I have never thought I would be the type of gal to enjoy being pampered with mani/pedi services, but Allure Nail Bar has changed my mind. My Aunt Katie gifted me a pedicure and SNS (powder) manicure. This nail salon is VERY clean and they have so many different services. Coming in on an early afternoon on Friday, this nail establishment was busy and poppin'. When entering, there is an endless galore of different nail polishes on the wall, different nail technicians busy at their desks, and the back was full of women sitting in chairs with their feet soaking in tubs. Holly took care of my pedicure and SNS manicure. She first told me to pick a color for each service and then led me back to begin my pedicure. Again, their terms of cleanliness were above my standards. In the foot tubs, there are these plastic linings that are changed after every use. They even have these little radioactive toaster ovens that I think is used to disinfect their tools and items used on each client. I first began soaking my crusty feet in the warm water to have my skin/nails nice and soft for Holly to attend to. She scrubbed my feet diligently, erased my old toenail polish, and massaged my feet/legs with their scrumptious citrus lotion. Before she began my pedicure, Holly asked me to put my flip flops on, so that way they don't become a nuisance to put on when you're nail polish is drying (don't worry, if you don't come in with open toed shoes, they have those foam flip flops for you to wear). After my pedicure, Holly guided me to one of the desks and she started to massage my arms and hands with the same citrus lotion. She began to work meticulously on my cuticles, nails, and the skin around my fingers. She also took her patience on cutting my toenails gently. Next, she started the SNS process (my first time!). Holly explained to me that SNS is healthier than gel and acrylics. On my nails, they feel thinner and I am able to perform my daily tasks with them. The SNS process is a little long (30-40 min) and it is just a series of dipping your finger nails in this special powder. The powder feels like the texture of cool, kinetic sand on your fingertips. I am on the fence with Allure right now. I have come here for several months and really have loved it at first! It is a beautiful salon, very clean with a friendly staff. They have a wonderful selection of colors and services and offer you drinks, and whenever I've had a manicure (Thy is a sweetheart and I love her work) I've mostly been happy. Manicures typically have bonus shoulder massages, hand massages, and parafin wax baths. Well Thy is currently on vacation and the last gel manicure I received started chipping within 2-3 days. I went in and they offered to fix it but really wanted me to get an SNS manicure, not a gel manicure. They kept saying that's what I had to do, so I did. It was beautiful! I tipped the manicurist and as I was leaving the owner said he realized no one told me, but the difference was $13 between a gel and SNS manicure so could I please pay the difference. I was taken aback as they were repairing a piirly done manicure to begin with, pushed the SNS and no one told me there was a price difference. He asked again and I mentioned no one said anything and he said he knew that but just the same. He then said never mind, it was ok, which I appreciated. Tonight they were supposedly open until 8pm and I went in at 7:10 pm and decided to have an SNS manicure (I did like it). Thy is still out so another gal did it. The manicure itself is nice but I was the only person in there and it was very much rushed. No massage, parafin bath, and by 7:40 I had paid and was out the door. I had no sooner put my keys in the ignition and they lights were out and the staff was already driving off. Don't get me wrong, I like closing up shop as much as the next person. Heck, I am the manager of a store. But I do not lock the door a minute before closing and if someone is in my store I don't rush them out.
