I didn't like that the drinks are bottles from a refrigerated display instead of fountain drinks, but all was forgiven the second I bit into my smash burger. Oh my goodness. I'm mourning that I live on the other side of the continent because my burger just melted in my mouth. It was, hands down, the BEST BURGER I have ever eaten. It has now surpassed my favorite lamb burger joint in CA. (And they have a lamb burger here too, btw). The resto-bar was clean. A menu was brought over quickly. The server immediately made me aware of the nightly specials. It changed what I would order. I appreciated that. I settled on a burger platter, to which I added cheese. With it, I had a root beer. (The special that night was the burger platter and one could have it with their lower cost domestic beers, or something without alcohol.) Rounding out the platter was a nice serving of fries ... the kind with the ridges ... and they were good. The platter took a while to come to the table. However, given how good it was, this didn't matter. They got it right. The final tab was to my liking. I added a tip to reflect how welcoming and good natured the service was. Note that, even though later hours are kept, the kitchen closes a little earlier.
