This is one of my all time favorite places to go when I'm in Tijuana. It's healthy and delicious, with the most invigorating environment. The living wall and floor to ceiling sunlight is like eating in a greenhouse, which in downtown TJ is definitely what you want. Wood and cement finishes add to the urban organic MCM vibe. I usually get the same three things: cafe de la olla, beet chilaquiles (don't knock it, it's amazing), and my favorite smoothie, the Morning Burst. It has mango, orange, carrot, ginger, and honey. Incredible. Don't skip this spot.

I picked up an order to go for lunch and it was delicious. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered the salmon with quinoa and I loved how the quinoa was mildly seasoned with lemon and salt. The side of shaved pickled cucumbers were excellent, the vinegar was mild but still had flavor. My to go order was plated beautifully so I can only imagine how their dishes look when you eat in. If I'm in TJ again I will definitely be back!

Had lunch here when it was slow. We ordered waters, a rose Chai moon milk, berry smoothie, salmon sandwich on focaccia, and cauliflower tacos. Let's start with customer service: QR code for the menu wasn't working (not a phone issue) Waiter took a while to bring the waters, I usually don't ding for this, but it was DEAD inside in regards to tables needing to be serviced. When we called the waiter over to ask for waters again, he was standing in front of a mirror on the floor trying to pop a zit ‍ Moving on to food: you can see the people cooking your food, so this was really a deterrent since the waiter wasn't touching our food. I ordered the cauliflower tacos and they were very delicious, but I wish they offered a spicy salsa to put on top. They definitely needed an extra pop of flavor. Moon milk was amazing. My friend enjoyed her salmon sandwich and her smoothie. 4/5 for me. Not the best experience, but food saved the review.

Good was good , service excellent, we had eggs with a delicious chipotle salsa , Fruit , coffee, tea and a delicious rosemary bread . It seems to be a new and trendy place. Parking was a bit awkward since they take your car to another location, I don't know how I feel about that .

Returned and adored the omelette de la casa featuring a decadent chipotle sauce! The cacao banana smoothie was excellent too.

Delicious chilaquiles and Delicious salmon toast. Chilaquiles sauce was too thick but flavor was great so I ate em without hesitation but Id prefer my sauce to not be too thick. Chicken was juicy and tasty and the roasted habanero were to die for. Salmon toast was really - really good! My only complaint is that they were out of almost all cold press juices, wellness shots and more :( & they had no grapefruit juice :( - this is a must have flavor of juice for me . Not sure if I will be back.

They service was quick and insightful about the restaurant. My favorite part was dessert, the fried cauliflower was a little too hot for me but it was still good.

We stopped by Alma Verde after running some errands to have a light breakfast. The restaurant is modern in appearance and features wood tones and simple wood chairs and tables in the dining room. We ordered a Dulce de Leche Latte and a special citrus hot tea to drink. I ordered Avocado Toast which comes on sourdough bread with hummus and my partner ordered a Quinoa Hash Brown dish to eat. Both of the drinks were served in beautiful coffee mugs and tasted amazing. I had to control myself because I could have easily drank it down quickly and ordered more. The Avocado Toast had a large serving of avocado served on top of the hummus ok the sourdough break. It was delicious and I would definitely order it again. My partner felt the same about the hash browns. Service at the restaurant was both friendly and efficient in nature. All employees appeared to be working hard and smiled often at diners. Parking was by valet only unless you want to drive around the area and look for street parking which can be difficult to find. We really enjoyed our time at Alma Verde and will be back.

Just had some really good chilaquiles, cafe de olla, and a delicious naranjada! Definitely stopping by again. The food, service, ambience all get 5 stars. Bang bang

Our server who was also the Manager of the restaurant was sincere, genuine, & provided us with the most incredible service. Forgive me as i am not 100% certain his name was Alfredo (or Alberto; lo siento). The double cheeseburger was good, not exceptional. The texture & flavor; delicious. I'm not certain that with all the cheese, the type of bun used, & the "meat" combine well. Conclusion is that the entire experience of trying to eat it as if it was a "cheeseburger" didn't really happen well. Again, it was still good. It just became a fork & knife meal. The Italian sub be mindful is served hot. We did not know that (prolly our fault for not reading it). Nevertheless I can assure you it would not have stopped me from ordering it! IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!! It literally brought me back to a most incredible Italian sub that I used to order. O.M.G. It really was done right. The Cesar salad! Yes. Second best Cesar salad I've ever had. The dressing was incredible. I did forget to mention it was actually a "chicken" Cesar salad & the chicken was done exceptionally well! Side note: last time we were there we had sweet potato & regular fries, a cheese pizza, the chicken cheeseburger, & something else I can't remember at this time. We have almost tried the entire menu. One more trip over there & we will make it happen. Also, the cocktails are so tasty delicious. A significant amount of classic Mexican cocktails for your drinking pleasure. Oh yea, the kombucha too (& that's coming from someone who only liked Big Mountain Kombucha; until now). Thanks Team Gardeno. See you soon.

Everything was awesome, so I'm glad we got the tasting menu to try many of the menu items. At the end, we had enough food that I had breakfast in the morning from the leftovers. The service was excellent, the staff were always on point to change your dishes and utensils at the right pacing, often refolded our napkins without us even noticing, the staff are knowledgeable in helping you choose what to order and importantly preventing you from ordering too much, which we almost did! Our waiter was awesome, I wish we caught his name. The only slight nit is that my water glass wasn't refilled frequently, but everything was already above and beyond my expectations. One tip I would suggest if you are going with a few people is to figure out which dishes are not on the tasting menu so that you can opt to order fewer tasting menu courses and instead order a few dishes not on the tasting menu. So many items stood out, it's hard to keep track. The many seafood dishes were awesome, but I particularly liked the oysters (with amazing added flavor), the scallop dish was excellent, the cucumber (aguachile) sashimi dish was amazing, the grilled cabbage had a delicious sauce of puréed cabbage, great sauce for the fish collar, and the sesame ice cream dessert was layered with awesome flavor and textures! If ordering a la carte, things that caught my eye but didn't live up to expectations were the duck tostada (I expected juicy duck breast, but it was some sort of fillamentous duck preparation). And of course the setting. I loved the communal dining experience as it was fun getting to know and chat with new people. The actual restaurant felt kind of magical...a sort of tribal Tulum vibe in the middle of the desert, with a lot of flame-lit and warm lighting tones. It was super cute to see cats roaming around outside the restaurant...and if you are so fortunate to go at night...the stars are breathtaking given how little light pollution is in the area. I think if you go during sunlight you may be able to walk around their garden a bit as well. Cocktails were good for US standards, average for Mexico standards. Walked out the door ordering 2 entrees, 1 tasting menu, and 1 cocktail paying $200 for 3 people (albeit 2 with smaller stomachs) and enough leftovers for a breakfast for 1 person. I love this place and would absolutely return and recommend!

Although the setting is attractive, we were seated outdoors with very little ventilation. The main issue was flies throughout the meal, landing on food and drinks, which made dining pretty uncomfortable. While the restaurant appears to aim for eco-friendly practices, the restrooms had a strong odor and did not feel well maintained. Service was another disappointment. Despite the busy atmosphere, the attention level felt mediocre. Ultimately, while the location has potential, the food quality and wine pairings did not feel aligned with the premium pricing. I'd recommend considering other local spots that offer a stronger overall dining experience

For those who aren't familiar Tabbouleh is a Levantine salad made primarily of finely chopped parsley, bulgur wheat, tomatoes, mint, and onion, seasoned with olive oil and lemon juice. It is traditionally served cold and is a popular dish in Middle Eastern cuisine. It's actually one of my favorite foods--when prepared right. Unfortunately due to the spraying and farming practices in the states I stopped being able to tolerate wheat products. However, it's been said that in Mexico the wheat is not so highly processed, so I am trying out the theory. Later: I had no reaction to this grain.
