    Cafe de Olla

On our way to Ensenada we had to have breakfast so we ended up at This Little Gem of a Restaurant called Omeleto. I had the Green Chilaquiles with a Fried Egg on top it was So Yummy. The Refried beans & Diced up Potatoes were also Delicious. The Cafe De Oolla was just the icing on the cake packed with Canela & Piloncillo flavor. If you ever in Tijuana and your wondering where to have A Delicious Breakfast.well make it a Priority to stop by and see for yourself.

Good food and food service, no waiting, good coffee. Tried the huevos madrileños and Denver omelette.

Barbacoa Omlette in All its glor.

Have eaten here a few times and the food and service are very good. Had the Barbacoa Omlette today which was excellent. The presentation also makes the plate look very appealing. Although the food does not come out super fast, I've never waited more than 15 minutes for my food to come out.

Mar y Tierra (surf and turf) To me: A reflection for me to have on my life to be delicious.

I am going to say that right off the bat they are very generous with their plates and don't hold back with getting you fed. Mine was a surf and turf omelet and it did not fail. Incredibly deserves a Grade F for Fucking Delicious. The coffee was really something different and was worth waking up and starting with that to drink. I ask from their filter and no need to ask for sugar cause the cream they give has a good sweetener to it. Yeah definitely coming back here.

The restaurant was a bit tricky to find but the service and food were delicious. The staff are bilingual and there are menus in English. There is a wide variety of breakfast options from a light meal of oatmeal to a full spread omelet and sides. The fresh made papaya juice was exactly what I needed.

Slam breakfast with coffee and juice. Exactly what I was craving. Friendly staff, Joseph Ine and Juan. Juan speak perfect English. Total bill $10.50.

The Zona Rio location has a small dining area, that is very popular with both the locals and visitors. It is easy to see why. Their menu does not over dose on the standard morning and afternoon items that you would find anyplace. However, this is the first restaurant I've been to in Tijuana, that does not have an English menu.... so I had to labor through the Spanish menu. But, they do have unique dishes, thus making the visit adventurous, because it is difficult to choose. I went back and forth, and finally settled for their 3-egg omelet with asparagus and sheep cheese. It came with refried beans, strings of carrots and beets, small fired up tostadas and fresh tortillas (both blue and yellow corn). A small side of soggy chilaquiles was also served. A small flavorful salsa tray is also provided with 3 options, ranging from mild to hot. The asparagus spears were thin, cut up into small pieces and sautéed with mild spices. The outer egg covering soft and not overdone. If anything, there was too much sheep cheese, in certain portions of the omelet. I say this because it was an asparagus omelet, and it, instead of the cheese, should have been the star. Still, it did not take away from the other commendable aspects of the complete entree and its accompaniments. Before the meal, a small refreshing fruit plate is served. Coffee and overall service here, was mucho excellente.

Despite the strong…read morerecommendation I received, this is simply not the place you want to choose for food. The only bright spot of the entire experience was the parking attendant, who was great and friendly upon arrival. Unfortunately, that positive impression vanished the minute we walked through the door. The host was rude and completely lacked control over the traffic walking in and out.Things only went downhill from there. Our waitress, Alaine, provided the worst service imaginable. Not once did she come over to offer refills or check in to see if we were okay. On top of that inattentive service, she managed to get our order completely wrong, forcing us to wait even longer. This was baffling, given that the restaurant was not even at capacity. When my breakfast combination rib eye finally arrived, the meat was entirely fat and clearly a poor cut. To make matters worse, my piña colada was served hot. Even after letting the staff know and asking if we could get some ice to chill it down, it still tasted awful and unappealing. It quickly became obvious that the staff was more interested in getting a slice of cake from another family hosting a party than actually doing their jobs or attending to customers. Save yourself the frustration and the bad experience, and definitely go elsewhere for your food.

My advice, take a cheap UBER instead of driving as parking is not fast. When you arrive take a walk though quickly to get a lay of the land and see what the options are. Maybe grab a michelada on the way in since the bar is right there. I'd pick one or 2 or 3 places to try as long as what you order fits together. the last thing you'd want to eat would be a taco and a hot dog. BE MINDFUL: Realize you are in Mexico. This place wasn't really made for tourists, it's more of a local spot and it's pretty safe. That being said they don't usually care too much about dealing with complaints. Take breath a little bit Karen and enjoy the experience. The tables are open seating, so maybe while you grab food, send your friend to find a table. they also had a cat there that was so chill and wanted to be pet.
