If the review was strictly for the cashiers and baggers it would be a 1. If it was for the Deli and Bakery staff, it would be a 5. Clearly whoever is supposed to be selecting and training the front end staff is not doing their job or not holding them accountable. I was there yesterday and went through the checkout. The cashier said not one word to me, looked like she would have rather been having a root canal then be at work. not the standard " you find everything you needed?"- nothing and meanwhile there were others who I assume were supervisors yelling employees names across the store. I didn't see the guy that is usually supervising up front. He's always very friendly. I even said to the cashier "are you having a bad day? " it's just incredibly disappointing for a company that has such a good reputation. This is the third time this has happened there and the second with this same cashier. The guy bagging the groceries was not any better and although I had a full cart- not one offer to take it to my car. Now the deli was amazing. Even though they were slammed with customers, they could not have been nicer and more apologetic for the wait. The lady with the British accent is a gem! Always so friendly and welcoming. I hope they fix their front end issues. It's just not up to Publix standards and they will absolutely lose business because if people want to have a mediocre experience, they can shop elsewhere.

It's also a fun way to try new snacks, nuts, and ingredients without committing to a large bag. The produce is always fresh when I shop there, and the deli sandwiches are amazing. I've grabbed them for lunch several times and they've never disappointed. The store is clean, easy to shop, and the employees are always friendly when I need help finding something. I find myself stopping here more and more because they carry things I can't always find at other grocery stores.

But once you're in there, it's the same old familiar Publix, as always. This location really did a great job on making sure the sushi selection was fresh, promotionally priced, and ready to go. The store, like most Ingles, is a bit dated and worn. The brand is not known for shiny new and updates stores, so this location is definitely "classic". Since I was traveling, I stayed in the interior aisles and picked up a few snacks and staples that I needed, saved me a trip closer to home. I will say that Ingles is a bit pricey compared to other grocery stores, surprisingly so on majority of the items I scoped, fresh food and all. Check out was okay. The cashier was nice, but not "friendly" or engaging. I get it is a transaction, and it definitely felt just as such. Overall, I get the need and dependence on this location for the local community.
