My husband and i wanted to visit Bethel Church and stay somewhere unique. I searched and found the Almond House Bed and Rest and thought that would be great! We were in the middle of major life changes and were searching for a peaceful rest. The moment we walked into the house i knew it was a great place!! So peaceful and full of rest and love!! My "pilgrimage" to Redding, California to visit Bethel Church was made complete by my stay at the Almond House. It was such an intensely spiritual journey, that I couldn't imagine having to stay at an ordinary hotel, so I was thrilled when I found the Almond House mentioned on Bethel's website as a recommended place to stay. The fact that it was called a "Bed & Rest" intrigued me, so I checked out their website and subsequently talked with them by phone. I was treated like an old friend and that just made me even more certain that THIS was the place to stay while in Redding! I found the Almond House to be like my home away from home...comfortable, clean, convenient, and the owners so friendly and gracious that I hated having to leave when the time came! My daughter, granddaughter and I were traveling many hours to visit Redding and in need of a place to stay. I found the Almond House and send an email to find out if we could stay. Not only did they accommodate our needs, they went above and beyond to help make sure we had all our needs for my granddaughter who has a medical condition needing some special things. Jennifer was not only a joy, but blessing. She opened up her personal living space for us. Sherry and Jeff were so warm and caring. We enjoyed our stay at Almond House. My husband not being the B&B& type was very impressed and enjoyed the stay . Very clean, welcoming,restful and FRIENDLY! Our bed was comfy and cozy and the owners made sure you had the right bedding and pillows you needed to make it that way :) Loved being able to come and go and having a kitchen to make our own food without having to go out for every meal. And when we wanted to go out they had great suggestions of where to go and how to get there. Wonderful people and great place to stay - would go back without second thought! read more

My husband and I always stayed in a hotel, so this was the first time for us at a non-hotel. Our trip was 7 days and by the time we left, we were so glad we stayed at Almond Bed & Rest. The house is super clean and comfortable. The people that own the home are very nice and made every effort to made us feel comfortable. The atmosphere in the home is what impressed us the most. We were there to attend some conferences, so being able to rest was very important. We were able to rest, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, make new friends with the other guest and the owners helped us find fun things to do in the area. Also, location is great. Close to stores and attractions. We will definitely stay there again when we go back to Redding. Highly recommend it!!! read more
