Our last place to stay on the way out of town. Spaces were limited due to fires up the road. This place was a great value. Comfortable bed, huge bathroom counter and friendly people running the place. Seemed to be some long term residence there (or people that had been there for a while) but they were friendly and knew where we were from, so good convo. Watched a great thunderstorm from the first floor step, the only reason I point that out is that you must make sure if you have a hard time with stairs, even though it's on the first floor the step up is big. No instructions on early check out, we just left the key in the room but a drop box would be nice. read more

We stayed in Room 124 on 10/1/2024 - $95.19 for the night. Big room. Bed and pillows were comfortable and bedding smelled like Downey. Room had a large TV, fridge and microwave. Shower was hot with good pressure and tub drained well. There was a working exhaust fan in the bathroom, along with an anti-slip mat in the shower. The proprietor supplies a nice takeaway refrigerator breakfast - Jimmy Dean sandwiches, yogurts, granola bars and coffee. The ice machine was out of order. Grade A. read more

The staff were extremely courteous and hospitable from the start! The room was very clean and maintained, the bed was super comfortable and had freshly cleaned linen. No complaints at all!! I am very thankful for the staff! It was our first time in Redding and they gave us plenty of local hiking/swimming spots, places to eat, and Redding landmarks! Additionally, a HUGE thank you to Mike!! We had 2 Ubers cancel on us and were going to miss our flight, so he drove us to the airport himself and refused any compensation no matter what I tried! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The bed comfortable. For this price range it's probably the nicest I've stayed inn. New solid floors, (they mop every day) (no carpet, YUCK). A mopped floor is clean. Crown molding, recessed lighting, nice new furniture, solid surface counter, tile floor and wall in bathroom, fridge ,microwave. And a secure front door. Really quite nice, most people would be happy with if their own house was remodeled to look this way. You won't be disappointed. read more

The room was clean and a decent price. It slept the 5 of us well. The downside was the room was super hot and took most of the night to cool down because we turned the air on when we got there at 9:30 PM. Breakfast sucked and there was no place to sit. For a last minute hotel not bad. read more

This place was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable for 69 dollars. The breakfast consisted of cereal, cold milk and bananas which was just fine. The bad thing was that we were depending on the presence of the usual little bottle of shampoo. It wasn't there and when I called about it they said they were out, so I ventured out to the supermarket and bought a big bottle to take home. Additionally one pillow had a weird grease stain (seemed to have been washed since then but the marks remained). If I needed to stay at a 1-2 star hotel in redding again, I would try another one of the dozen or so inns. read more

BETTER THAN THE PICTURES! REALLY impressed with this place! My husband and I were on a road trip and just needed a place to crash for the night. I found their coupon on yelp so we went to check it out... It looked like it was in a bad neighborhood so we weren't expecting much... First of all, the Indian couple that runs the place: super friendly and funny :) When we walked into our room we were amazed by how nice it was for being only $59! Flat screen, really nice, clean bed, there were no paint chippings or foul smells (like in other hotels we've stayed at on this trip). They had cable which I was impressed by :) They had coffee, sugar, and creamer in the room... Shampoo, conditioner, soap... AND! Now this is big for me, I wasn't scared to take a shower! The tub was really clean and everything looked really fresh. Definitely staying here if we come through again!! read more

We decided to stay here for the night on our way to Sacramento for a wedding (from Seattle). I found this place from TripAdvisor and all the rave reviews and price, booked it. For the price, it was a nice value in comparison to the other hotels in Redding. When we checked in it was quick, but I have to agree with another reviewer, that the staff was not very friendly and it did smell like curry in the entire small room (I take it the managers/owners live on site). Besides the unfriendly welcome, the room was nice. Looked updated, but still older (carpets, bathroom area). Large room though. We were in a room with a king bed. Wifi was spotty, not great but not awful. Your basic hotel. Breakfast was cereal, small muffins and juice, coffee and milk. read more

For the price (AAA, $80 for two queen beds before taxes and fees) I felt the hotel was just OK. If it had been cheaper I would definitely give it more stars. The room was clean, safe and comfortable, and the front desk person was friendly and helpful, but the amenities were pretty bare-bones. The TV was an older, medium sized CRT box, the complimentary breakfast consisted of store brand bagels, mini muffins and cereal, and there was shampoo and lotion but no conditioner. There was a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave in the room, which we didn't use. No pool or exercise room, no pets allowed. Market St. location meant a lot of traffic noise and bright light coming in even when the curtains were drawn at night. read more

Rates were listed as 76 with discount and they tried to tell me 79 was there best deal but I talked them down to it. After taxes it ended up at 86 anyway. Parking for a truck with a trailer was nice, but there was really only one spot so we were lucky. Room was clean, shower was nice a spacious due to the curved shower rod. I didn't love the water saving shower head as it scattered the water a bit too much and delivered tiny hard streams but they were clean and new. Fridge and microwave worked fine. Bed wasn't as soft as I'd hoped for $85 a night. A crazy amount of mosquitoes were all over the exterior of the door so it was hard to keep them out when we opened it. Old tube televisions still in the rooms but the picture was okay. I'd rather they invest the money in softer mattresses. read more

No Complaints!!! Perfectly clean room, VERY friendly receptionist, refrigerator in the room, flat screen TV, ironing board, hair dryer... I feel like I have spent over $120 for a room and gotten less before. Air conditioner was the quietest I can ever remember in a hotel room. Also, you can set the temp instead of just letting it run all night. I had a perfectly good sleep in a comfortable and clean bed. Yes, the COMPLIMENTARY breakfast was tiny, but hey, tiny blueberry muffins, a banana and a coffee was all I need!! I would stay here again without hesitation. read more

Very nice room and at a fair price. We needed nothing more than a place to crash for the night and this worked very well. We've certainly stayed at fancier and way to expensive places before and might have only been a half of a star better. In a small area off the freeway this place runs you $35-$40. In a bigger city they'll spank ya for around $80-$90. So it is comparable to this area for sure. If you just need the basics this joint will do fine. read more

Worst hotel experience, ever - this was the first time we've had to leave a hotel because it was inhospitable. The room was blazing hot! Everything was heat-soaked - the towels were hot, the toilet was hot, the bedsheets and mattresses were hot, everything! After several hours of the air conditioner running on high, it was still too hot to sleep in, and it was getting late. They offered us another heat-soaked room after we finally complained, but of course that wasn't going to work. I asked for at least a partial refund, but they refused, saying I should have complained immediately. Well pardon me for giving you the benefit of the doubt! We're out $125, but at least we went somewhere where we could get a decent nights sleep. Oh, on the way out, she tried to tell us the room was cool enough. As if her opinion mattered, even if it was honest. Beforehand, I brought in a thermometer that said the temp was still 85 degrees. That was unreasonable, by pretty much any standard. Oh, and there was no breakfast, even though it was advertised online and on their overhead sign, even! They were re-modeling their breakfast room, which we understand - but don't advertise it if you're not offering it, even temporarily! read more

I was at the front desk and asked for the owner and this young guy said he was the owner! I said how long was he the owner and he replied for a long time. I said I was a friend of the owner and he said I probably had the wrong motel. I was Bewildered and left because of this guy said it rudely like I did not know what I was talking about. I then left then turned around and said my friend stayed here and the lady who was in the back I remembered. I then said where is Allen? And he said Allen is his dad and he had passed away. Rudely he said what did I want from him. I informed him his dad and I was going to open a pool hall business and if he was alive he would spank him for being so negative in tone and rude. He said his dad would only yell at him. I did not like the way he tried to steer me away at first with his bad customer service. I will never have me or my friend stay there again! read more

Booked 2 nights via hotels.com. checked in room to find ammentities were not as described. Called to front desk to ask about the "32 inch plasma TV" that was advertised on hotels.com and travelocity.com to be in ALL ROOMS and they said that it was a upgraded room only and we would have to pay $25 more for the 2 nights if we wanted it. They would not honor their misprint on multiple sites. (The motel was not busy, I think we were the only ones in the entire motel.) Rooms are OK, nothing to write home about, TV is a old small tube TV. No shampoo. Older furniture. Clean rooms. Non working ice maker - but if you brought your bucket to the front desk they would get you some. Tiny fridge and microwave. Hair Dryer Beds OK. No pool or any extras. Free WiFi at 1mbps but if you wanted faster, you can pay $6 a day for it. Continental breakfast is minimal, don't waste your energy unless you are extremely starving and broke. read more

I am going to file a discrimination lawsuit against this place. I am white, and my boyfriend is black. The manager, who was drunk at the time, told my boyfriend that he had to leave immediately and threatened to call the police. My guy is from Kenya and didn't understand what was happening. He tried to make friends with the manager and actually hugged him. It made me feel sick when I had to explain what had just happened. read more

I give this place a 5 star and have stayed here on three different occasions. The place is completely remodeled with all new interior and furnishings including ac units, the bedding is clean and a high quality 800 stich sheets, with great mattresses and pillows. In room coffee, microwave and mini refrigerator, flat screen tv with over 200 channels, high quality carpeting, bath towels also good quality soft and fluffy. Family owned and operated, very friendly and quick to assist. They take pride in their business. Everything is squeaky clean. At $70 per night plus tax and 10% discount on extended stays nothing else compares in the Redding area. Great location just blocks from the Sacramento river and shopping. It is located on the north end of town near Bethel, there is no rift-raft in this area. It is quite and cozy, We sleep well here and I would recommend it to anyone, for the quality and comfortability no other place in the area compares. No pets and no smoking makes for a very clean smelling room. read more
