When life happened and we needed more than 10 days, I tried calling several times during business hours to let them know. Well on 8/12 I got a bill with a nice $50 late fee. Again I tried calling with no answer. Went down there in person to talk to the manager I originally worked with. Turns out she no longer works there. $430 was how much I had to pay since they wouldn't waive the late fee. Will not use this place again or recommend.

That was fine with us as both are trailers are a couple years old. My time is limited as I'm battling a terminal illness for 13 years and just diagnosed with tongue, throat and lymph nodes cancer. I go in for surgery next week to remove a portion or more of my tongue, throat and all the surrounding lymph node's. We had a great storage but they went out of business and didn't call us until it was going to get towed out with no notice even though we paid upfront months in advance. So I show up and they said we don't take enclosed trailers ( mind you we told Tyler about 10 times the types of trailers we were bringing). So now we have NOWHERE ELSE TO GO AND MY WIFE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE THE TRUCK WITH TRAILERS HOOKED UP. I'm sick everyday from my illness and now the cancer. This was one day God gave me the ability to function. We said over the phone several times and in person what kind of trailer's we had. It seemed like a decent storage but your uneducated or lack of knowledge just cost me my only day of functioning I could have picked a different place and things would have been fine. This was all last minute as I have infusion center and blood tests all the rest of the week. This was my only chance as I wasn't passing blood all day when using the rest room like normal. Public Storage calls their units "an extension of your home." That might be true if your home…read moreleaks, damages your furniture, and sends debt collectors after you. We rented a 10x20ft unit and moved in many of our belongings, trusting that the space would be dry and secure. In February, we discovered clear signs of water intrusion. The floor was scattered with leaves, debris, and mineral stains from runoff. Large chunks of dirt and grime had washed in, and several storage boxes were visibly affected. Two expensive chairs were permanently stained from rainwater dripping down from pressure treated beams above. This caused about $400 in damage. The onsite manager was nowhere to be found, which was typical. Repeated calls went unanswered. With more rain expected, we had to act quickly and move everything to another facility. When I finally reached the manager on March 3, I explained the situation. Their only response was, "Talk to your insurance." No apology. No refund for February, even though the unit was not usable as promised. That same day, I received an email confirming that my balance was zero. Four hours later, they charged my credit card another $261 for March, even though I had already moved out. I disputed both charges with my credit card company: one for the month when the unit leaked, and another for the month I never used. I won both disputes. Now, Public Storage has sent the matter to collections, trying to strong-arm me into paying for a service they failed to deliver. They are threatening to damage my credit over a situation that was their fault from the start. Even before the water intrusion, the unit had a strong, foul odor. At one point, we noticed what appeared to be rodent droppings. Between the smell and the mess, the unit clearly was not being maintained properly. Bonus warning: Do not be fooled by the hundreds of glowing Google reviews. When we posted this same honest review with photos on Google Maps, it was visible for a few minutes, then disappeared. It looks like Public Storage or its supporters actively flag critical reviews to make them vanish. If their rating seems too good to be true, it probably is. There are plenty of storage companies that care about their customers and actually maintain their facilities. This is not one of them. Avoid Public Storage.
