I've been here a few times now. The majority of the time I've come for Book Club Trivia! Staff here is usually very friendly and works very hard. They get super busy when trivia is here due to the size of the group and how many people are ordering drinks and food. This last time I was here I got their chicken Cesar wrap and fries which was really tasty. Normally this is a sports bar so the decor is jerseys and teams, etc. They have multiple massive TVs inside and great seating (tables or couches). Parking can be hit or miss here as street parking is also blocked off, the lot across the street is expensive and the parking for the hotel it's attached to is easy to miss. read more

Sports and bar food is the foundation of Almost Friday but they build on these table stakes with some wonderfully plush couches, chairs, and assorted seating. While we only had a quick meal it seems like a place that would be a great spot to catch a game. They easily check the boxes of what any sports guy (or gal) would want: lots of TVs, beer, wings, etc. And that's what brought us in. Of course I had the wings, which were meaty (just not cooked to my request... I'm an odd duck though in that I like the super dry/crispy and most places can't get them there) and waffle fries (EXCELLENT!) plus a beer. My friends had small bites as well. We left full and content. We couldn't help be jealous of the other seating options as we sat at a regular table. The leather couches look so inviting! This place got busy during happy hour and stayed pretty busy throughout the evening. You have to get the bartenders attention to get your order in and once you do they'll get your order in. I had chips and queso and a chicken wrap. The fries were thick and mildly crispy. It's loud when it's busy but people were still standing around talking and socializing. I spent $100 or maybe $90 for two double smash burgers, a strawberry berry lemonade and 212 pieces of chicken wings worth every penny those hamburgers are so good. I'm from California and I've been trying to find a burger to match that double smash it's so good. I'm coming back to Nashville when I do. I am definitely visiting again. read more

What a fun place! We stopped in on a Saturday around 3pm to meet up with my brother before going down to Broadway. It was right next to our hotel, so it was super convenient. It was PACKED, the music was loud and everyone was having a great time. Be aware - if young crowds and loud music aren't your thing then you shouldn't go on a Friday or Saturday. We ordered a couple appetizers and a few pitchers. Despite the crowd, the food and drinks came quickly. The staff was exceptional. This a pretty big sports bar/restaurant and a great place for groups. There are tvs everywhere as well as tables for beer pong and board games! The food was great! The chicken tenders were juicy and the breading wasn't too thick. The nachos were so good and the portion size was huge!! The restaurant is also conveniently located next door to a coffee shop. We sat at the tables by the bar so we didn't have a waitress but our bartender was great! Love how the brand morphed itself into a bar - awesome vibes. Big space but only one floor. Decorations are true to the brand and look very new and shiny. I'm not one to complain about the noise level at restaurants and bars, especially sports bars -- it's to be expected. But the deafening level of the music at Almost Friday was almost laughable. It was so ridiculous that our group more or less gave up on trying to hold any sort of meaningful conversation. And the music was good, but there was no reason for it to be as loud as it was. I may have been more understanding if it was live, but this was just piped in. Overall, the vibe of the place was fun though very college party-esque, which I enjoyed more for the nostalgia -- it certainly wouldn't be a place I go often. The burger was MASSIVE -- and surprisingly delicious (not something I was expecting from a mostly bar). The two patties were cooked well, smothered in cheese and the burger sauce added a nice tangy note to each bite. The side of shoestring fries weren't anything to go crazy over, though, and I didn't have room for them after devouring such a larger burger. The drink selection was impressive.Everyone in the group found something they liked, from cocktails to beer. The service was decent although nothing amazing. As I said, this is much more a bar than a restaurant, so it's something to keep in mind. If you're looking for a high-energy spot, Almost Friday is the one. However, only the main bar has liquor which is perplexing and the broadway pricing completely goes against everything friday beers stands for. As an interior designer, I am HERE for this space. Artwork that makes you look twice (I'm talking about you Nicolas Cage disguised as Lady With Pearl Earring), insanely cool wallcovering in the men's & women's restrooms, and of course the hilarious Almost Friday quotes & themes throughout (i.e. COMMENCE SUCKDOWN - never a problem for me). Considering the large crowds they get, the staff does an excellent job serving everyone and accommodating requests. I've been when they had some really cool DJ's and it creates such a lively, fun, party vibe. If that's what you're after - get after it here! read more

I've visited this bar twice in the last three months, and both times were disappointing. Their hours are inconsistent--don't rely on what you see online; you never know if they'll be open. On my first visit, I asked to have a game put on one of the TVs. It took 20 minutes, despite the bar being mostly empty. Then, they turned off the game when someone requested another, even though there were plenty of screens available and the bar was mostly empty. Tonight, after leaving the Predators game early, we arrived just before 10 PM, based on their advertised closing time of 11pm. We ordered two beers, and while the bartender was friendly, things quickly went downhill. Within five minutes, they started turning on the house lights and the sound off of the TVs for the NBA games that were on. When we asked about their closing time, we were told they often close at 10pm if there's no special event. Overall, this place doesn't prioritize its customers, and there are too many better options nearby. I won't be returning. read more

The food is super good and the prices aren't too bad. The bar tenders are SUPER sweet especially the small blonde girl. They know how to give good service when it's busy. However. I have one issue. Whoever the gentleman is at the front is so incredibly rude. First off he was wearing fake airpod max headphones and when I asked him where we should sit he told me to "figure it out". The couches for the big, big screen are very cool, and the overall layout and locations of the TVs made it easy to watch several games, or be close to the game that you came to see. Otherwise, not many good things to say. We were not impressed. A group of us stopped in on a Thursday around 5PM and we were looking forward to trying out this place. It was awkwardly loud to the point where you could just stare at the person next to you or yell in their ear to speak to them. They have 2 different bar areas with about 9 seats at each. We walked in, and they told us that they were completely booked out on reservations for the night so we could just stand by the arcade games. It's whatever, but a little strange just because casual bars are usually not booked out on reservations like that - or they at least only allow X amount of reservations - not the entire restaurant. So that was a little weird, but that's just my personal opinion, take as you will. They were also out of several beers which is always disappointing. Menu was a little bit pricy for a place that tells you you can stand by the arcade machine. $21 for 12 wings and not a chair to sit in. Close your eyes, imagine the person you graduated High School with that tried to be like other people in order to fit in. You know they don't. They know they truly don't. They're awkward. They are lying to themselves that they belong, and somehow wish to believe that they indeed provide something worthwhile just so the cool crowd keeps them around. Well, this is the bar version of that. This is an utter ripoff of "Friday Beers." An attempt to appeal to the middle aged guy that never quite let college go, but they even failed at that. They have it set up like a man cave. Rich mahogany bookshelves with many leather bound books, delightfully tacky posters that chastise classics, and well soiled couches slapped in front of a fuzzy projector for you to take in the game! That is....if you can hear it over the "games" they play. My group had the delight of showing up during trivia night. We said what the heck and participated as we were intrigued by the prizes that were being offered! A $50 gift card for the winner! Well as luck would have it, we won! After getting our bill, we asked if we would be able to use the gift card toward the bill. The answer? No. The manager with the self-appointed MBA went on a diatribe about how their marketing program is set up to draw people back in for another visit. We explained that we were from out of town, and were told that they attempted to cater to the "local" crowd. We said ok, we will use it before we leave as our hotel was right around the corner. We had promises of getting it emailed to us. 5 weeks later, nothing. The nachos were good. Stay away from the chicken tenders and fries. read more

Service was great. We were greeted with a smile on entry and given a seat right away. Definitely is a sports bar as there are very large and very loud crowds and tvs but we did not mind that. The food was good, the salsa didn't taste house made but that if a salsa from the jar. I'm sure the chips were not house made but they were served warm which was really nice. For the price of the drinks you would think the bartender would GAS. I saw a group order 7 shots and the bartender just set them on the bar and never let the group know the shots were ready. The level of I dont care is pretty sad from the staff. Will never go to this place again and would encourage others to not go. They have nothing to offer. Over priced drinks, poor service no music. I was surprised to see the negative reviews on here and Google, because this place is 10/10 and guaranteed to be the most unique sports bar you've even been to. From the decor and FREE arcade games to the drinks and bar food (Capri Funs?! Chicken finger tower?! FIVE pound shareable burger?!) this place is totally rad.
