When the USDA was reviewing our packet they pointed it out and we received an email from Atlantic Pacific with it. IT WAS DATED FOR 7/2/14, we received it on 7/22/14 @ 6pm, our closing was scheduled for 7/25/14. Needless to say we missed our closing date and were forced to push it out in hope that the sellers still wanted to sell to us. The only reason we went with them was because our Realtor recommended him because he was "detail oriented". If that were true this wouldn't have happened.

Liberty mutual sent multiple letters to them, and then finally to me, so that i knew there was a balance. But you would think that after all that, the company would have forwarded me the mail, or told Liberty that i am not their client. RUNNNNNN from this company.

I have been a Freedom Mortgage customer for over three years with a perfect payment history--never…read morea late or missed payment. My credit score is above 800, with no delinquencies or negative marks of any kind. Despite this strong profile and established relationship, Freedom Mortgage offered me a VA mortgage rate of 7.125%. That rate is higher than the prevailing VA loan rates available in the current market. When I contacted them to question the quote and pointed out that competitive VA rates were meaningfully lower, the response was simply to defend 7.125% as "current market rates." It was not. The offer did not reflect either my credit strength, payment history, or the actual rates other lenders were quoting for similar VA loans at the time. As a long-term customer who has done everything expected of a borrower, receiving a non-competitive rate and then being told it was market-appropriate is disappointing and unprofessional. I expected better treatment and better pricing given my track record. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Freedom Mortgage for VA refinance or new VA mortgage business if competitive rates and accurate market guidance matter to you. Shop multiple lenders and compare carefully.
