Nice new hotel owned by Marriott...enjoyed the night stay here while in town. self park outside. Staff was friendly and check in was easy. The lobby was very nice - nice smell as one walks in. There is a bar in the lobby and a pool table right across it. Lounge chairs and tv while you wait to check in or go out. Marriott members - don't forget to get points for your stay... Had a king size bed - room is smaller than most hotels but good the stay. Very interesting window blinds with numbers...reminds me of the matrix. The room has a nice small fridge to keep drinks cool. Hand sanitizer wipes by the tv remote in the room. The view from the room was of the city / front parking lot. Be careful in the shower...the floor is slippery and turning on the water went from cold and had to wait to turn hot, then hard to adjust. the water pressure was a bit low as well. Overall a nice stay.

This was a perfect stop on our way up north, for my husband, myself and our kitty cat! We absolutely, love this hotel, first bc it is pet friendly, and they do not charge an additional pet fee. On top of that, we really enjoy the overall cleanliness, comfort and the modern decor of this hotel. It is also very accessible to I95 so we did not have to go out of the way. This will definitely be a stop for us in the future when we head that direction again.

Hotel was clean, stylish and convenient. My stars are more so based on the service of the staff. My requests via the Mariott app were ignored and the staff were unprofessional. On the morning of check out the cleaning crew entered my room before I even checked out simply because they watched me walked downstairs. If you're staying in one room with a family the bathroom layout is open with glass showers meaning no privacy.

This hotel is probably in my top 10. Love the decor, that is what caught my attention. The idea to have a far & pool table in the hotel lobby is awesome. All hotels should have something like that. There was ample seating in the lobby area to just relax. There was a convenience store next to the entrance. Breakfast is not complimentary and there is no microwaves in rooms. Room was clean. Loved the automatic blockout shades. There is a refrigerator, safe, coffee maker, steamer. Location is perfect, near several restaurants and a Walmart. Do yourself a favor an stay here when visiting NJ or NY

Me and my lady spent Valentine's Day weekend at Aloft and the vibe was perfect. The entire hotel has a very modern design. The pool table and the bar in the lobby kept us busy. The staff was extremely polite and inspired us to return.

The hotel is esthetically pleasing. The room was very clean and modern. Check in was okay. I wish the person who was at check in was a bit more friendly and explained more about the hotel. The overall experience was good.

Sheet in the bed looks like it wasn't changed, they just made the bed!?!?

I had notified the concierge Daniel ahead of time that my mini and I would be arriving after 10pm due to poor weather conditions during our travels. Unfortunately, when we arrived, our reservation had been canceled. Chris was on duty at the time of our arrival and quickly stepped in to resolve the issue, which I truly appreciated. However, because of the cancellation, we were initially placed in a room that seemed like it hadn't been in regular rotation--it had an unpleasant odor that made it uncomfortable. The next morning, I spoke with the manager, Frank Super (great name!), who was both personable and empathetic. He promptly addressed the situation by moving us to a different room and adjusting the rate to account for the inconvenience. The new room was noticeably cleaner, fresh, and much more comfortable. Throughout the remainder of our stay, the staff continued to impress. Katrina, another concierge, was especially helpful in ensuring the room change went smoothly and that we were well taken care of. Overall, the team at this Hampton Inn was friendly, welcoming, and committed to making things right. The daily continental breakfast was a lovely addition and a great way to start the day. It's also worth noting that the hotel offers shuttle services, but rides need to be scheduled with the concierge on duty in advance. One small note: the lobby restroom could use more attention after hours, as it wasn't always maintained by guests. Despite the initial hiccup, the level of customer service and recovery made a lasting impression. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

But you cannot walk there from here you have to drive because it's dangerous and illegal. It's a good deal in the area for sure but everything is outdated and not really carefully done like the bathtub has paint or caulk in areas that no one should see. Location is great but outside of that it's not a nice stay. The cabinets inside and vinyl floors and carpets in the hallway are not clean. But for $88 total per night it's much more reasonable than other places nearby. Free Parking in the lot, but you just have to register your car. Free breakfast with basics and that helps too.

YIKES!! This place is entirely questionable. "Extended Stay America - Meadowlands - Rutherford"…read more(notice the "East" is missing because it's a different location & different hotel) is actually better. It's so easy to get the 2 confused though. This location is around the corner from the American Dream Mall, a 2 minute drive. The other one, while it's close also it's not as close as this one. That other one is a 6 minute drive. None of the hotels I write about, within close proximity of the American Dream Mall, are ones you can walk to. There are no sidewalks. It is extremely dangerous. You have to have your own car or an Uber, Lyft, or shuttle service. PARKING Plenty of parking spots to choose from! It seems like a gated parking lot, but it's not. The gate doesn't close or open. It's open all the time. While at the other hotel of the same name, you don't need a parking pass on your rear view mirror. This one does give you a parking pass to put into your car. ROOM 1 We had received room 316 upon checking in around 9pm. The room was in a sorry state to say the least. There was no bedding, no sheets, the trashcans were not made. The shower curtain was not hung. There was no blankets, no soap, nothing! Everything was questionable. There were odd stains everywhere! It seemed like someone lived there for about a week and just left, but the hotel cleaning staff did nothing about it or started it and never finished? There was some odd Poland Spring bottle with purple liquid inside the bathroom. Didn't touch it. Didn't want to touch it. Someone had left it there prior to us receiving this room. The kitchen is very run down, but it is rundown even in the other hotel also. I would not risk using it. Both hotel kitchens seem like a fire would most likely start on one of these. The fridges are full size with a freezer but also very basic, old, unkempt etc. The shower in this bathroom had a tub, the other hotel didn't, but it was very visibly run down! And like I mentioned, the shower curtain was not hung. Overall, if I had stayed in this room I probably wouldn't have been the happiest because this is supposed to be a service and this room didn't even meet living requirements of any kind. ROOM 2 The second room we were given in switch from the first was room 146. It actually was presentable and had everything the first room did not. But it had a smell to it upon walking in. That was quickly masked as soon as we turned on the AC unit. The bathtub and shower was pleasant! An adequate amount of towels was given. The hot water gets very hotel very quickly, and it was really nice! But despite everything being as it should with this room, I didn't have the best sleep. When the AC is off, it's immediately warm in the room. With the AC on it's immediately cold, but the blanket is warm enough to sleep under. The black out curtains aren't completely blackout so I constantly saw light shining through it throughout the night. I've stayed in a hotel in close proximity to the American Dream Mall where the conditions were similar to this stay BUT they had the comfiest bed and mattress! It was a good mattress and held up well during canoodling, and even though my man said he slept well we definitely won't be coming back. I was so darn exhausted from a lack of sleep the night prior and snowboarding all day on top of it that I thought for sure I'd get sleep in this room. But alas, I did not! After a near 2-hour drive home, I did go back to sleep. BREAKFAST There is a complimentary breakfast available from 6am to 9:30am. Not the most option choices, but my man & I enjoyed the packaged muffins. We didn't want to risk trying the coffee out. SERVICE The guy at the front desk was really dope and accommodating! I would rate him alone 5-star. He has a really cool chill vibey style to him. He helped us switch rooms quite easily when my man went down to speak with him about the subpar room we had just received when we checked in late at night. Originally, we were going to get a discount, but the man and I both wanted a decent room to sleep in. I had a near 2-hour drive home the next day, and he had work at 8am in the morning. PRICE We paid a total of $120.87. This hotel is 13 cents cheaper than the other one. So I would suggest booking the other one for a better experience! OVERALL It does seem like people actually live here. Both rooms were not soundproof, and I could hear other guests from down the other side of the hotel from our room, or in the corridor while they are in their rooms. The rooms are not in the best shape of the world, even at the other location as well, and could use a massive update! Especially for a hotel so close to such a large scale mall. The service was kind to us, and luckily they had a different room to give us. Because everything was amended and we generally had a good stay, 2-star is the best this place can offer.
