    Guava Cake

Amazing customer service. I live on Oahu, but my daughter's bf lives in Arizona. We were looking for a good cake place that had a touch of aloha since this was his first birthday away from home. From contacting them, to placing the order and the getting it to him was seamless and soooo easy without even being in the same state. She even delivered it to the dorms. The cake was beautiful and delicious. Will definitely order again. Thank you soooo much Aloha Cakes.

We requested a plain Guava cake and she delivered!

Communication could use some improvement but the cake was AMAZING and we'd buy it again!

    Ube cake

Our wedding cake (ube) looked amazing and tasted delicious! We can't recommend these cakes more highly.

Delicious, soft, and beautiful cake. Pick up was really easy at a centralized market area next to the commercial kitchen.

If you love the Aloha spirit... Aloha cakes will take you back to Hawaii! The cakes are so fluffy and perfectly sweet! The guava, passion fruit, coconut, macadamia flavors are so yummy!!! Can't wait to order my next cake or cupcakes! Below is a chocolate macadamia nut cake. It was so moist and the butter cream frosting was fluffy light!

If you are looking for a really special cake, look no further than Aloha Cakes. We've been visiting Scottsdale every year around March to celebrate my Mom's birthday and have tried almost every specialty cake bakery in the area. This year we tried Aloha Cakes, and it was the best of all the cakes we've had in the 15 years we've been visiting the area. We ordered the Hawaiian Chantilly Cake. It was absolutely gorgeous - amazing rich, chocolate cake with the most moist, flavorful and buttery frosting we've every had. It was decorated beautifully with colorful fondant flowers and leaves, and smothered in macadamia nuts, and packaged in a beautiful box. If you want something incredibly special and delicious, order one of these amazing cakes.

Vegan Haupia cake! So amazingly delicious!

This is the second time I have ordered from Aloha cakes and I have to say Nenita always comes through with her amazing cakes and flavors. I had asked her to make a vegan cake and normally she doesn't have this on her original cake menu however, she took on this task with no hesitation and came through with a delicious cake well balanced with sweetness and moisture of the cake. Even the guest who are not vegan loved her vegan Haupia cake!! Thank you for making our brother's 40th birthday extra special!!! I would highly recommend Aloha cakes if you want something different especially the island flavors!

    Lilikoi Orange (Passion Fruit) cake.

I contact Nenita at Aloha Cakes around the beginning of December to ask about getting a few cakes for Christmas Eve. She was quick to respond and let me know she was taking orders. After looking over the site a little more I ordered the Ube Dream cake and the Lilikoi Orange cake. Christmas Eve arrived and Nenita emailed me to let me know that her pickup location was not available due to remodeling and that she was going to deliver the cakes to me. I was very appreciative given that is a good 30 mile drive to my house from the original pick up location. Both cakes looked absolutely amazing, everyone was dying to get into them to taste them. Once we cut into them they did not disappoint. The flavors of both cakes were amazing. Having never had nor heard of Ube I didnt know what to expect, but the slightly sweet vanilla nutty flavor was amazing. The lilikoi orange cake had incredibly vibrant flavors. The citrus flavors shined through and made the cake delicious. Everyone loved the cakes and kept asking me where I got them. I will definitely order from Aloha Cakes AZ and Nenita again. Not only were the cakes unbelievably great, but Nenita's customer service is fantastic. A personal thank you to Nenita for the great experience.

We decided to just take one and share it and decided on the Frozen Hot Chocolate, which is made with Blue Bell chocolate ice cream, hot cocoa mix, chocolate sauce, marshmallow fluff and a "kosher" marshmallow. I'm just not a big sugar fiend so I found the shake to be extremely sweet and gooey...wife loved it! I didn't try the marshmallow but she said it was good and she could tell it was homemade. We decided we would try the store in Gilbert at some point this summer to see what other goodies they offer. Overall, a good treat and thank you for the free goodie! Sorry, there was so much going on at the moment, I didn't take a photo of the actual milkshake!

Gelato is something I love to indulge on occasion, and after a couple Yelper friends reviewed, I had this on my radar to try. When my friends today mentioned wanting dessert after lunch, I suggested this as it was in proximity to where we met for ramen. The owner (I presume) greeted us and so did his brother who was seated in the lobby. They boasted it was the best gelato in Arizona, and it was authentic like Italy. I was skeptical at first as a lot can talk a big game, but then you try it and it's average. Stracciatella is a classic flavor and one of my favorites, so I requested a sample. It was very creamy, but the dark chocolate helped cut the sweetness. I ordered a piccolo (small) and it was just the right size for a treat. My friends ordered behind me and I found a spot for us to sit and chat. The interior is mostly tables for two chairs, but we made a table of three. In the future, I'd probably grab to go as it's fairly small. Still a solid choice for a sweet treat and I would recommend it if you are in the area.

AZ Chimney Cakes specializes in Kürtöskalács, a.k.a chimney cakes, an incredible dessert that originated in Hungary. I have Romanian roots and Kürtöskalács are quite popular in Romania. That's where I had my first chimney cake. Located in the same shopping center as a movie theater, a Japanese restaurant, and a bunch of other businesses, I parked without any issues in the free back lot and walked over. Ambiance (4/5): A cozy dessert shop. I felt right at home when I saw a map of Bucharest by the entrance. You order at the counter and then they bring your order out to you. We sat at a table close to the door. Service (5/5): Friendly service and we were fortunate enough to chat with the owner for quite a bit. We learned about the history of the dessert spot and how they're trying out some new ideas. Nice lady. Drinks (N/A): No drinks for me on this visit. Food (5/5): If you've never has a chimney cake, you're in for a treat. They're made to order and customizable. More so than anywhere I've ever seen. You choose your base, toppings, additions, and drizzles. I went with the traditional chimney cake with Biscoff cookies, vanilla ice cream, and Nutella drizzle. Outside of the dessert options, which are the way to go for first timers, if you're feeling adventurous, they also have one or two savory options. The chimney cakes are served warm and absolutely delicious. They're filling too so come with an appetite. It's one of those things everyone should try at least once in their lifetime. So cool to have them in Mesa!
