More than just wine & spirits here…read more.. Who hasn't passed Yong's Wine & Spirits just a step away from Safeway Beretania on one of the busiest corner on Kinau and Piikoi and I thank goodness I haven't given them a visit earlier. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a friendly staff and loved how nice and clean it was, spacious and neatly organized. Here's the place for cravings of all kinds...the variety here is just incredible, though they've been keeping a secret that I just discovered. They have the asian exotic chips that we all have been salty about the bougie lays's and even Oreo! I was in heaven and spent a great amount of time deciding on one...yup one lol! I did get the seaweed flavor and gosh what a yummy crunch snack! It's just a nice convenient location for a place that's open 7 days 7am-9pm knowing that surely puts me in great spirits! Thank you!

Young's Wine & Spirits has a great selection of the two noted alcohols in the name, but they also have many others: soju, seltzers, RTD cocktails, and for me, an amazing selection of beer! It also feels like a convenience store, with essential food items, lots of snacks, and tobacco products. They also sell ice and have an ATM. They regularly rent out a stall in the parking lot to a food truck, which changes periodically. If something interesting is making food that day, it's also easy to pickup dinner. For me, I come for the beer selection. They get a variety of 6-packs, 4-packs, cases, and singles from mostly US breweries. I really appreciate their large selection of local breweries, most of which are available in single cans if you'd like to try a few. Prices are competitive with stores selling similar products. The owners have been super friendly and welcoming to me, both on Instagram and in the store. I appreciated having a few free sample cans to try on more than one occasion. Cheers! It's easy to get here, off Piikoi near Safeway with its own small lot. It's also easy to walk around the fence if you're doing your grocery shopping and want to add in some libations.

She was even doing a free wine and cheese tasting when I popped into their soft opening after my appointment upstairs at Habib Hair. This shop is the perfect place to stop for Mediterranean goodies like wine, cheese, herbs and canned goods. They also sell bakery items and desserts now. Their wine selection is small yet bespoke and unique. Wines from Greece, Italy, New Zealand, France, Oregon, all over and decently priced. I grabbed a small charcuterie box that had a good selection of 4 types of cheese, 2 types of meat and 3 kinds of fruit (grapes, fresh figs and apple) and it comes with crackers. If you want to supplement your order from Olive tree cafe next door, I highly recommend the stuffed grape leaves (they sell a whole can which is like 2 orders from the restaurant for $5) and the giant beans.

Since Olive Tree is BYOB, Oliver is a convenient store to get your B! Their selections of wines are unique with several familiar ones you see at other stores. They also sell a nice variety of Ouzo! If you live the Pita Bread at Olive Tree, you can purchase the same exact ones they use. It's $7 for a bag of 10, no tax. There's a also a wide selection of cheeses, cured meats, pâtés, canned sardines and other fishes, and many other specialty items that goes with the Greek/Mediterranean theme. Overall, a nice store with many unique items. If you love Olive Tree, you can purchase many of the ingredients it uses right at Oliver. The Pita Bread were awesome! Will buy more next time!

I love convenience stores for just one thing- alcoholic beverages and also to see what other goods I can find. The shop is located on 12th Ave/Waialae, look for the bright yellow sign across of Duk Ke/Via Gelato. Tiny little mini mart with just 2 aisle with neatly filled products. The lady owner was very nice and her doggie was so cute! I enjoyed browsing both aisle looking and observing the products. I love the Pringle selections, some new flavors I haven't seen/tried before, ( dill pickle, seven layer dip, & all dressed up) There a nice selection of alcoholic beverages and wine. There all lots of can food, snacks, candies, seeds, ramen, paper goods, cleaning supplies, a tiny freezer near the door for some frozen products and many more. For a mini convenience mart store, the price isn't bad, reasonable. I love that they price the merchandise. What I ended up getting was 2 cans of Waterloo brand ginger twist ( $1.39 ?) I never seen them in ginger flavor, 2 cans of High Noon peach tea ( $2.39) ghost pepper chicken noodle soup (3.99) & the last Mina brand wild caught sardine in olive oil ( $2.99) Those items caught my eyes since I've never seen those ever. My total was fifteen dollars and some change, paid via credit card. A plastic bag was provided- don't think she charged for it. Overall, what a quick and convenient store! I actually enjoyed myself looking around and I would definitely come visit again. I love mom & pop shops that carry the goods, good stuff!
