Aloha Jetski is amazing! We did the party platform which included 2 hours of 3 jetskis and 1 hour of chill time out on the platform in the middle of the ocean (with table and chairs) for my sisters bachelorette party (13 girls) and it was the favorite part of everyone's day. We brought out our own lunch and snacks which was perfect and had so much fun jumping in the water and rotating amongst the jetskis was perfect amount of time for everyone to experience it. Darren worked hard guiding us in and out and making sure we were safe when switching people. Couldn't recommend enough for a large group party and being all kamaaina, we were shocked none of us had done or heard about this before (found this on yelp so making sure to pay it forward). We did a friendly race of timed trial laps at the end and recommend if your group is competitive! The pictures taken ($35) are great quality and worth it! Don't forget to tip! I don't usually rate on yelp but this one left a bad taste in my mouth as it was the worst part of my Hawaii Vacation so here goes: The experience was less than desirable. I've rented jet skis before where we pay by the hour while stating how many hours we are renting for and have free range as long as it's returned on time. This is not the case here. It felt uncomfortable as the owner/operator must be with the group, like a chaperone of adults, as we were only allowed to make laps around a course within his sight. There were also only 3 available jet skis (2 old with worn out seats and 1 new) for our group of 10 so most of the paid time was spent sitting around as we waited for our turn. Definitely not worth what we paid. We didn't discuss this until we got to dinner after but the females felt creeped out by the owner's demeanor and a few of us also caught him staring (not a glance) at their bodies. None of us brought this up during because we were away from shore by his boat onto his floating property and using his jet skis so no one wanted to call him out and make the event overtly awkward. read more

We just finished our time with Aloha Jet Ski and we had an awesome time! The owners, Kim and Darren were friendly and amazing. They have new machines they are in EXCELLENT condition, they offer 45 mins of ride time vs 30 mins at other places, and they cost less than the others too! Additionally, they are a military friendly company and are only a 12 mins from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam which was a bonus for us. Lastly, they have Bentley (the dog) that comes along for the ride and he's super cute and friendly! We will definitely be going back! read more

Purchased three jet skis for one hour. The owner was extremely friendly and quick to get you set up and riding shortly after you arrive. Every time I called, they said it should be refunded by the end of that business day. Still nothing Pending to my bank despite what they say. Doubt it will be worked out before I deploy, and that's just another stress I have to deal with simply because of their inability to be organized. What really made we write this negative review was the tone of the conversation when I learned of their mistake. I was treated like it was all my fault, and there was nothing that could be done. So, my boyfriend & i decided to go jet skiing for Easter -- I called around & got rates for $54/person even though we would ride tandem. RIDICULOUS. I finally got around to Aloha Jet Ski, & their Kama'aina tandem rate is $75 TOTAL. DEAL! We'll take it. We got to Ke'ehi Lagoon & this lady from Aloha Jet Ski kept calling me saying my card was declining. She verified my Debit Card #...which was WRONG. Gave her my correct # & she said it was still declining & that she would call "Chip". My boyfriend & i got to the dock where the boat loaded...The guy was saying "umm..we cant go out until we straighten out this payment. you know it's $75 right?" making like i never had enough money!! He called the lady back & gave her my card # again & it still declined. He was basically blocking off the part of the boat to enter on (from the side). Giving us a hard time, i was like "fuck it. i'm calling the bank" dun dun dun...my bank said, "well there's your problem. they're trying to run a paymet for $7,500!! not $75. other then that, your account is good" I told the guy "the bank said you're trying to charge me $7,500. he called the lady back & he was telling her, did you put in a decimal point? if you did, try & just put in 75 with no zero's & no decimals". *dumbass' So, he let us on & as we're heading out to the area he said "can you call your bank to verify payment was made?" geez. called the bank, they verified the $75 ONLY. can you imagine if i had $7500?? They would've took ALL OF IT. mother effers. the jet ski thing is not my kind of thing. scared terrified through the choppy waters... overall experience...ahh, i'll think twice before going with the cheapest. read more

Glen was great! Had an amazing experience. So friendly, easy to work with, and organized! His dog (Teddy) was awesome! You can bring a go pro and he'll mount it on the jet ski if you have one. The jet skis go as fast as 55mph and the course is triangular. It's right near the airport, so sometimes you see planes takin off, which is cool to see. All in all, I got a family-like vibe from the crew and I enjoyed the experience. read more

Great activity! About 20 min drive from the city. The captain of the boat is the owner of the company. The boat takes you to this tiny hut on the water where the jet skis are. His first mate teddy was definately a high light of the trip. Cutest & friendliest dog ever. The jet ski is a 45 minute activity. There are 3 red buoys on the water which is your course that you follow clockwise. Can't go too far there are poles set up that show where the water is too shallow. Also next door is a competing jet ski company. The jet skis go pretty fast. I think we got ours to 62 miles an hour. It would be nice if you could free roam or have a bigger course. I thought we were going to deeper in the ocean but we are actually pretty close to shore. For $30 the owner let's you use a go pro camera which takes video. He gives you the SD card & he said you can take screen shots of the video for pictures. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! Jet skiing sounded like a good idea and me and boyfriend had both never done it before, so i bought a coupon on living social to do a tandem jet ski ride for 1 hour. I had the coupon for a couple, but was too busy with school to use it. When i finally got a weekend off i called on Saturday to go out on Sunday. However, that Saturday night i had sprained my ankle and couldn't even walk, let alone jet ski. I simply called the place early Sunday morning to reschedule the my appointment since i wouldn't be able to make it. Immediately after telling the man, assuming the owner, that i needed to reschedule, he became very abrasive and told me its not within 24 hours you cannot reschedule and your coupon is now void. I explained to him that my sprained ankle was unforeseen and i was willing to pay additional to reschedule. Instead of handling the situation as a business man, the man began yelling at me that he didn't need to explain his policy to me and hung up the phone on me. When i called back, he refused to even talk to me and/or help work something out so me and my boyfriend could go jet skiing. I am a business woman myself and this man obviously does not know how to handle his business and treat his customers with respect. I will not be surprised if Aloha Jet Ski is no longer in business in 5 years. Given the economy now days, customers are everything and from what i experienced, no one that i know or have connections with will EVER do business with them. He just lost a HUGE chunk of business because i am born and raised in Hawaii and have connections both locally and in the mainland and trust me, everyone has heard about my experience and know never to do business with them. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment they will try to rip you off. Was on vacation missed my appointment because was 10 min late got lost on the way when I called them on my way there they were unwilling to refund my money. Then one person said i can reschedule and come at a later time. Later that day i told them I had a flight to catch so I'll give my ticket to a friend and they will come in my place. One minute later another person calls me again to tell me no I can't reschedule and another person cannot use my ticket. What a ripoff because they knew I would not be there for long. This place provides free transportation from wherever you're staying. My friend and I wanted an early morning time so we'd be able to do more things throughout the day, but we had to go with the earliest available time that was open, which was a time near noon. When my friend and I got picked up, the drive picked up more people from the Hilton. When we got to the place we were all asked if we wanted to get goggles, which the driver recommended. But everyone said no. After getting into the water and jetskiing, my friend and I regretted renting them. If you mind salt water in your eyes (I do b/c I wear contacts), then rent the goggles ($5) or bring your own. When we go to the beach, the boat driver/instructor took it down to the area we'd be hanging out at. When we got there, there was a place to put our belongings (either in these slots that were about the size of a shoe box. If you bring something bigger, you'd either have to put it next to the slots on the floor or on the picnic table. The track we took were 3 buoys apart. After doing the same track for awhile, we started to get bored. Good thing the other jetskiiers ended up backing out. One lady got on the jetski but after a min or two she ended up not wanting to do it b/c she was afraid of falling off the water (even if she had a life jacket on). I'm not sure if they would refund her but that sucks if they didn't. The other tandem couple went in the water but the female ended up getting off bc she was either scared or cold. The guy she came with lasted a little longer but he ended early b/c he was cold. I guess for those who get cold easily, they should wear wet suits? When everyone left the water except me and my friend we changed the direction of where were we going and went counterclockwise. Definitely would do it again, but probably would buy my own once I get a real job. read more

The concierge at our hotel made the reservations for us and there was a huge misunderstanding as far as the price was concerned between her & the jet ski rental manager. After a long hassle & argument between myself & the owner he finally honored the price that was given to us by the concierge which I greatly appreciated. . This was super fun, paid about $100 for 45 mins on the jet ski. It is a circle course in a bay near the airport (there are regulations in HI that prohibit jet ski use, at least for non-residents as far as I'm aware, so this is one of the few areas you can rent a jet ski on Oahu). They normally book groups of 5 people at a time on the jet skis, but I was lucky to have the course to myself so I could do whatever I wanted. Amazing views of Honolulu skyline as well as the mountain range to the west. I went on a Friday during the day in May, but I don't know if there is any particular time when they are less busy if you're trying to get it to yourself. I would recommend just trying to go during off-season travel times for tourists (late spring and fall would be best; spring break, summer and winter are the peak travel seasons for tourists). Had a really great experience. Our kids (10 & 13) loved it the moment they got on the boat that took us over to the jetskis, because Teddy (the dog) was very sweet and cute. Glen was awesome explaining everything about safety first and how to operate the equipment. We took 2 tandem jetskis and our boys were allowed to ride them, with adult supervision of course. The jetskis are new models, very nice and fast! There are marked areas we rode around and it was a blast the entire 45 minutes. Our group of 4 (3 riders and 1 observer) absolutely loved our visit to Aloha Jet Ski Rentals. Glen and Admiral Teddy were extremely personable and welcoming to their little jet ski oasis on Keehi Lagoon--even our first-timer felt immediately at ease as soon as we set foot onto the pontoon shuttle. Once we arrived at the "office" Glen took the time to thoroughly explain everything and even made sure that my hard of hearing father caught everything before moving on. The 45 minutes of riding time and the spacious riding area make Aloha Jet Ski the best value for your money, hands-down. I did a bunch of research before finally choosing Aloha Jet Ski. Every other operator I spoke to was 4-5 hour door to door trip from the Hilton Hawaiian with only 30 mins of actual jet ski ride time. Glen, the owner, was responsive, professional, and even watched my 5 year old towards the end of the session so I can get to top speed. The jet skis were in great condition. This is definitely a must if you're in Honolulu. My family and I came here on the last day of our vacation, and we had a blast! Also, this particular place has the best deal on the island. Other places charge the same amount as Aloha Jet Ski, but you only get to jet ski for 30 minutes. Aloha Jet Ski gives you 45 minutes. And yes, that extra 15 minutes makes a big difference! These guys are awesome! All our previous experiences with other jetski rental companies were totally dissapointing, but these guys made our vacation unforgettable. First of all they are kind, polite, friendly and just cool people! They are the best jetski rental we've tried. They give 45 min, but the rides obviously last longer than that, almost an hour. The area for rides is pretty big and you can speed as much as you want and have fun without any babysitting as many other rentals do, but not this one.
