My largest items were a couch, king-size bed and bed frame, TV, and a four-person dining table. Everything else fit into just 9 large moving boxes after they packed my belongings. I was also moving only one mile away. At their quoted rate of $185 per hour for three movers, I expected the job to be completed within their 3-hour minimum, or maybe 4 hours at most. To be fair, the movers packed everything carefully, and nothing was damaged. The office staff also communicated well whenever I called. The problem was the amount of time it took. The move ended up taking 7 hours, which I simply cannot understand. Five hours into the job, the crew was still packing, so I called the office to express my concerns. Their explanation was that my apartment had three flights of stairs. While I understand that stairs add time, I don't believe they justify turning what should have been a relatively small move into a seven-hour job. Even accounting for the stairs, I would have expected 4 hours, maybe 5 at the absolute most. Instead, I ended up paying around $1,600 for a move that covered just one mile. I walked away feeling like the job took much longer than it should have and that I was being billed for unnecessary time. If you're considering EcoMovers LV, be aware that this was my experience. While they did a good job packing my belongings and the office communicated professionally, the overall cost and time made me feel like I was being milked for every billable hour. I would not use them again, and I hope this review helps others know what to watch out for before booking.

It appears Yelp has the more honest reviews. Google seemed to have screened the negative ones. The first time I hired them for my parents, they were fantastic. (Either that, or my parents were being nice since it was a gift.) The second time, it was HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. We had a 9 a.m. appointment that I confirmed the time, the number of movers and the starting location address the day before. An HOUR after our appointment time, it was discovered they were at the wrong address across town. Finally an HOUR AND A HALF AFTER our appointment, 3 of the 4 hired movers arrived. (See camera footage.) The fourth worker didn't arrive until 11:20. (TWO HOURS, 20 MINUTES late.) One out of the four movers seemed to know what he was doing. When it was easy, straightforward boxes , everyone kept busy. When it came to furniture or odds and ends, it was a lot of standing around waiting to be told what needs to be done. We paid four workers for a good 1-2 hours while they walked around, trying to look busy , while only one or two kept consistently working. One worker in particular kept asking "what's this? Does this need to go?" ..... We're moving... It all needs to go .... He kept going to the side of the house.. I was assuming he was grabbing stuff and putting it in the truck. To my surprise, once I went back to the house later, he hadn't moved the items on the side. (See photo.) I would not use them again. A move is stressful enough without adding a headache.

Late post: decided to re-share here, too…read more Ryan and Chris did an exceptional job getting me moved. They are well-mannered, warm hearted, and charming. Moving can be complicated. These guys make an excellent team and took away a lot of my stress. UPDATE 10 minutes later: The total I was given at time of exit was almost $200 (short) off, apparently. :-/ Shortly after leaving, I get a phone call saying there's a glitch in the system and I didn't get the right total, even though I confirmed with the men multiple times prior to departure and payment. They were still very competent and kind men/movers, but the glitch in the system seems nefarious and I'm left feeling like the company is at fault and it's designed that way intentionally.... Was going to hire them again soon, but sadly not now. Unfortunately, I have to change my 5 star rating due to a company error...that sounds incredibly fishy. He told me he was a pro and it would all fit. They came to pack up all our stuff Monday, March 27. After we got to our destination, we found a ton of boxes that were half full or less. On Tuesday, March 28, College Hunks came to pack the PODS. It did not all fit. I'm sure you saw that coming. I had a bunch of stuff left over that I had to get rid of at the last minute before we moved to Missouri from Vegas. So uncool. I had dozens of moving blankets for them, that I had purchased. Over 20 of the moving blankets were unused, so I returned them. As you will see by my photos, they should have been used. I should have heeded Jerry and Amador's reviews. I hope you will heed mine. DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE! We had many things damaged and they WILL NOT take responsibility for their unprofessionalism and the damage to our property. They said we would have had to make a claim in 10 days. Our PODS didn't even get to the new house in 10 days. It took 14 days. So by the time we saw the damage, it was past their self-imposed window to file a claim. Also, the corporate office told us that the franchises review and decide on their own claims. That's insane! PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH COLLEGE HUNKS. YOU WILL REGRET IT! You have been warned.
