I love everything about Aloha Mail in Pahoa HI. We have mailboxes by our home, but not enough boxes for packages, so we use to have to go stand in line at the Post Office in Pahoa for packages. Now we just go to Aloha Mail and get our mail and packages, and everyone there is always smiling. If we are out of town, they hold our mail for us there - just have to let them know. Found this mail box service near my home and it's better than the post office down the road. Staff is super friendly and getting a PO Box is a breeze! When receiving packages, they will text you with a photo, tracking # and time they received it. They don't mail out anything, but great for receiving your mail and Amazon orders! Good location and parking is never a problem. read more

If you're thinking about getting a mailbox at Aloha mail in Pahoa, don't. I am so extremely upset. I had a very sentimental package being delivered that they accidentally returned to sender. Instead of taking accountability and ownership for their mistake which is all I ever wanted, they first claimed it didn't have the correct name on it, (it absolutely did) then they completely lied and said they "never recieved it". After speaking to the post office they confirmed they did in fact receive it and denied the package to be returned to sender. I asked them if they could contact their carrier and inform them of their mistake so I could possibly have the package intercepted and go pick it up anywhere on the island and they refused to do so. Told me they would contact me after they spoke to the post office and I waited 3 days and never recieved a phone call. I then called them after waiting days to hear back from them asking if I could simply recieve a refund after them giving me the run around an entire week without giving me any sort of viable information or help. Instead of coming from a place of understanding and simple consideration the owner calls me to slander me on the phone claiming I'm "scamming them" because I asked for a refund?? What kind of scam is that? What would I be gaining?? Absolutely no logical sense. She then told me she'd be completely closing my account and throwing away all of the mail that was left in my box which was my food stamp card and debit card. You're now gonna take away my ability to feed myself?? Completely appalled by the way the owner spoke to me and the way this situation was handled. All I wanted was for them to own up to their mistake and apologize for the inconvenience.
