These guys really make things difficult if you've had an accident. They require a claim loss report that takes a long time to request. I recommend not wasting your time. Other insurers, like Geico, can pull the information directly from nexislexis. Not sure why aloha west can't do that. read more

They do return calls BUT when I went to cancel my two policies due to Safeco raising my rates by 40% just because they could without tickets, accidents, fire, theft or anything that would provoke a justified increase ; I transferred to another large company with much better coverage, more discounts applied for superb records and veteran friendly. Aloha West cancelled with the wrong prematurely date and if I hadn't looked on Safeco website and caught it myself, I could have of been in a big problem, if I was involved in an accident. I called and spoke with Kelly D., unfortunately I received what seemed to be a lax attitude about fixing with underwriting almost insinuating and blaming me with no urgency even though I was closing in on the cancellation date. I was told it would take 1-2 business days on a Thursday morning ... 4 business days later on Tuesday am still showed as cancelled on Safeco website. I basically didn't drive my car until the other policy came into effect. Very inconvenient and disappointing exit experience. Good day. read more

Last year (2019) & previous year (2018), we had a different insurance agent that absolutely the worst insurance agent you can possibly have. He did not explain ANYTHING, and we ended up with the worst insurance last year called Aliera / Multiplan Health share. It was actually NOT health insurance and a cost sharing network-- NEVER AGAIN! We ended up cancelling halfway through the year (that's another story in itself check out my review for Aliera). We had to pay cash for all of our prenatal doctor appointments for the rest of 2019... You live and you learn. My only regret is that I didn't find Aloha West/ Kathy sooner ! Like most people, I find insurance-related issues exhausting and endless. Aloha West is a rare exception that took the pain out of the insurance policy hunting process. Megan genuinely cared - which means the world when it comes to your own business. A few month later I ran into questions related to a health insurance policy. I called the office and was connected to Steven Webber - little did I know that Steven was the owner of the company. Once again, nothing but an exceptional experience. Steven was extremely knowledgable, helpful, and positive. He spent HOURS helping me resolve a problem with an application. On top of that, he was very down to earth. I am so appreciative to Kathy Carey for her honesty when I was exploring option for dental insurances. Instead of pushing for sales, she warned me that most options would not be worth purchasing without employer support vs. just paying cash for dental services.
