Absolutely horrible service. We got insurance through them a while ago and they have been impossible to work with. We've requested quotes and been met with silence. I have been a customer for many years but this year decided to go with another company that is more responsive to their customers. This company never calls to review your policy and I understand they are busy so I do call and ask. When it takes almost three weeks after multiple calls for them to reach out to me is not acceptable. Even though they have many insurance companies in their office they represent it is amazing one of the top competitive companies are cheaper ( like $500-$700) in home and auto insurance which surprised me so I will go with a more reputable company which is rated as one of the top insurance companies . read more

8 months ago I would have given this company a 5 star review when I was specifically working with Daniel Lopez as my agent. Daniel was amazing and went above and beyond to help with me any issues or questions I had. He would always return my phone calls same day, as well as my emails and if he was still working on something he would update me so I was in the loop. However, a few months ago Daniel left The Insurance Place and I was given a new agent(Octavio Gonzalez). I used this company to receive commercial insurance for my auto transportation business. Since I have had a new agent, it has been nearly impossible to get anything done or answered. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to put our business on pause and cancel our insurance policy since we were no longer going to be in business. This all took place early June of this year and to this day I am still fighting with this company to get the cancelation done and be reimbursed for unused premiums. I am always promised a call back and then hear nothing for weeks until I make the effort to reach out. I have reached out via phone call, text message, and emails and yet it still takes days/weeks before I hear anything. Within these last few months there has never been an incoming call from them, only outgoing calls from myself and even then it is still difficult to get anyone on the phone. Everyone is somehow always in a "meeting" and when I finally get Octavio on the phone, he magically has information for me that he JUST received before I called. I understand that you can't always get answers right away but they can't even give me a courtesy call to update me. I am the only one making effort to reach out and get information. To this day as I write this review, I am STILL trying to get my policy canceled and get my reimbursement for unused premiums. This entire process has been extremely frustrating and unbelievably unprofessional. I truly hope that this doesn't happen with anyone else who decides to use The Insurance Place. Management, if you are reading this I think its time for some updated customer service skills for your employees. I can't believe the customer service from Octavio, it's not hard yet so hard to come by in today's world. On top of a bad record I also needed rideshare coverage and Octavio was able to help me get a better policy at a better price then the last time I called him up! He also got me a awesome home insurance policy last year when I bought a condo! The $80 broker fee I paid was well worth the $96 dollars a month I saved on my auto insurance and I was back on the road within hours! read more

Do not come here. The reps appear friendly and helpful but they will include a HIGH broker fee into your insurance premium. I finally left this place after 2 years with them and Mercury. THEY WOULD AUTO RENEW my plan without notifying me because I was on auto payment so by the time I wanted to cancel it, it was too late. I despise places that have no integrity like this one. I am now with wawanessa and they are offering me a BETTER premium compared to what I received from here. Way more affordable - almost half the cost! Never again will I come back. Horrible experience. Horrible communication. Customer Service Representative's (CSR) are incompetent. My daughter was going to college in another state and we wanted to exclude her from the policy. They did exclude her AND they cancelled the coverage on the vehicle she had been driving. I only noticed when we received our next dec page and it was missing. We had been driving without coverage for 10 days. I specifically told the CSR that she would be commuting to school by bike and the truck was not going with her! When she returned from college we wanted to add her and was told since we had another daughter on the policy that there wouldn't be an increase in premium. Which I didn't believe, apparently they thought that my daughter, who was returning from college, had a learners permit and was not yet 16! The premium doubled. There were other issues. When we called to discuss the issues all we received was excuses and no apology. We wanted to give the agency one more chance and asked them to get quotes from other companies they represent, we were told that they could do that and the agent would be calling us back. 10 days later we are still waiting for the call, we have a new policy in place, with another carrier, which will start when this policy lapses. We figured we would be better off letting the policy lapse, rather then ask the Agency to cancel it on a specific date in the future (2weeks in the future) for fear they would cancel it immediately and we wouldn't be covered for those 2 weeks. Use them at your own peril! read more

Well I'm totally impressed, yeah brokers fees but guess what...? That's what happens when you go though a BROKER!!!!! Anyway Octavio was LA BOMBA!!! Could not get a Dec. page from AAA to start my mercury policy to save our lives, even after 30 calls combined. He either picked up or called back within minutes of me calling. Octavio stayed after hours helping me get the docs I needed to start my policy and was a total gentleman about it even though the process was a major pain in the ass.
