My son loves Alotte Horses. Not only did he learn how to properly ride a horse, but he also learned how to brush their hair, clean their hoofs, how to clean after the horse and a lot of fun details about horses. The class included circle time at the beginning of the class, cleaning, brushing and caring for the horse, riding and sometimes even art. Ms. Ashley is no longer a teacher there, but she was wonderful and I loved how caring and patient she was with the kids. Wonderful horseback riding classes for all kid ages. read more

Wanted to love this place but we felt some very strong unwelcoming vibes when bringing our daughter to one of the pony camps, as if they did not want parents present. I had emailed ahead to see if we could just try it out for the first visit to see if it was a good fit for us and was told yes. The checkout only allowed paying for the entire camp. When I asked after if we could get the rest of our money back since it was not a good fit, they said I could use it another time, which of course was not an option because we did not feel comfortable returning. They kept our money. The day we were there they had young student leaders tacking up the ponies and I noticed she did not secure the saddle and cinch properly. I asked about it twice and finally got an adult supervisor who confirmed that it definitely needed to be secured. Had I not been there to insist my daughter or another child could easily have been injured due to oversight of this important step. Definitely felt quite uncomfortable with this experience. read more

Amazing experience of riding horses here , all the staff was professional and very friendly . Definitely made us feel welcomed .

My 3 year old and 7 year old participated in the mini pony adventures. It was geared toward younger riders, but the teacher differentiated to accommodate my older child's need for more independence. They learned about safety as well as the responsibilities that go along with riding horses. It was a great trial run for them. My younger child had a blast and loved the ponies, but learned the work wasn't really something she was ready for, but my older child loved it and asked for more. He is pining for those ponies! This is a great way of determining whether or not they were up to commit to a course of lessons. Thank you! We had such an amazing time! read more

I love the way Lotte teaches but don't love how they run the business. You best hope your child doesn't come down with a fever the day of your lesson or you will lose the cost of the lesson and not be allowed to reschedule without paying again. I get it, businesses have expenses but a good business takes illness into account so that parents don't feel ripped off. Lessons aren't cheap. This may be why parents spread illness. They don't want to lose their money. read more

My daughter has ridden with Lotte for more than 9 years. Not only did she become an excellent rider but she made many dear friends. Our whole family became part of the extended barn "community". Kids learn so much about hard work and responsibilty while having loads of fun. The bonds between the kids and horses are amazing.
