They are constantly doing rounds and checking on the horses every day, monitoring their behavior and health. I have never cared for a senior horse and Jody and Larry provide great insight. I'm still in shock at all the time and attention they're lending to our family to make sure we have everything we need as we settle in. Jody makes it her business to closely watch any news horse on their ranch, paying extra attention to any medical needs and feed. She's literally an expert on every horse at her ranch and she treats them all as kindly as she would her own. We've met many families who also board out here and they're all delightful as well. We arrived there in about 1997 on the coat tails of horse trainer, riding teacher extraordinaire, Jim Frazier. A year or so later we bought a sweet Quarter horse named Margarita, "Maggie". who has been a treasure in our lives. A country property is always in need of maintenance; however, I totally disagree with Gail and her sour grapes comments. Gail and her family kept horses, multiple, at the ranch for MANY years so her comments reflect on her more than on ranch management. Our stall gets cleaned daily, the feed is very good Alfalfa twice daily and if your horse has special needs they can be accommodated. Tack rooms are provided, there are multiple arenas, 2 round pens, and 2 turn out areas. You have a choice of pipe corral with some cover, breezeway barn with lots of cover, box stalls, large pipe areas for more than one horse, and small box stalls for recuperating horses. The people who care for the horses are familiar with horse needs and sure to call if your horse needs attention. And, if you are a student raising a steer for the Faire you might find a spot for that critter , too.

The in and outs are large, nice and light. A cool sea breeze floats in the afternoon cooling down the air, making this a great location for an afternoon lesson. Michelle is a very talented rider, an excellent trainer and a very confident horsewoman. Samba I first meet Michelle in our golden years and she was very happy to train us, we were still a working dressage pony. She helped through some old age issues to make Samba a circus pony , the 2 of us a long lining duo, leg yields, turn on the haunches, jumping little cross rails with even a lead change, little cross country logs and ditches. With Michelle's guidance I was able to ride Samba again at the age of 31!. Our last discipline was clicker training. Michelle and Sasha supported and cared for us until the bitter sweet end. Sasha Cohen is a great asset to the barn, she is a very hard working, reliable student. Under Michelle's guidance she has become a very strong, confident rider and Norman her horse a rock star.
