My fiancé and I, in our last-ditch efforts to turbocharge our workout routine, decided to check out a "Hollywood" class at F45, taking advantage of their introductory class offering. Within the first 10 minutes of class, we shared collective feelings like: "What the $&@! did we get ourselves into?!"... and, "My body doesn't move that way!"... etc., etc. But after attending a few classes a week for the last few weeks, I will 100% say that this class kicks your butt in the best way possible. Physically, I'm starting to see and feel a difference. Its forcing me to be a bit more conscious about my eating habits too (there's only so much stuff you want jiggling inside your stomach at 6am!). Instructors Shauna, JoJo and Daniel are great people and awesome coaches. The workouts are high-intensity and demanding at times, but man -- do they work you out. Using the app for scheduling is easy enough, and they just started a new checking system that makes it more integrated and streamlined. Add in some great tunes and high fives during class, and I wasn't expecting to like this place so much.

You want a basketball court, sauna, swimming pool and an adult jungle gym, I want a gym's gym - free weights, machines and no excessive crowds. P.S. - You also want to pay like $150/month, I pay $25/month at Hardbodyz. The fact that my gym ends in a Z is only the cherry on top of the sundae. Hardbodyz is a gym for people who like to work out and who like to get in and out of there with a great workout. I never go at peak time (5pm-8pm), but all the other times I have been I have never been inundated with crowds or an excess of meatheads.** The equipment is always working, always clean and the gym goers at Hardbodys do not leave messes everywhere. In general, the patrons here are courteous and respectful, which can not be said for all gyms. We had a very disturbing incident at this location today involving the manager Sha. This grown man wore only underwear as he berated and chased my terrified son around the locker room. When my husband went to the gym to discuss the incident with Sha, he was indignant and belligerent telling my husband that he was the manager and could do "whatever he wanted to do" including chase a minor around a locker room nearly naked. Needless to say, the police were called and a formal report has been filed. Crunch fitness: this man is an absolute liability to your business and we are considering all available options at this point to ensure accountability.

I love this approach to fitness. You get in, you get out, and you move on with your day. Second, the coaches at Char are next level. They are supportive and motivating without annoying the hell out of me even when I'm struggling during a workout. Third, there is a nice sense of community at this gym. Everyone knows everyone else's name. It's like Cheers but with less beer. Fourth, I've only recently returned to in-person workouts and I've been super impressed with the safety precautions.
