Placed an order online for a floral arrangement for my friend's birthday since I can't visit her during SIP. I called a day before the delivery to just confirm that everything was ready and the person who answered the phone was very friendly, kind and helpful! She said everything was good to go and will be delivered the next day. On the morning of, I received a text with a picture of the arrangement (pictured attached) and it was just as beautiful as the picture online. She loved them! I only needed wedding party florals and wasn't too picky about what type of flowers I wanted, just a general color-scheme. We emailed back and forth a few times and she got me within budget and offered various types of flowers she could use. I stopped by the shop with bridesmaid dress color samples and let her have free reign. I couldn't love the end product more! I needed a small order of flowers for my wedding and began to exchange emails and even had a phone meeting with an alpha floral employee to solidify the details of my order. She told me to wait for my final quote, but then she emailed about two weeks later stating she was already booked for another wedding and was no longer available. I was only requesting three floral items and I guess she could not handle multiple orders on one day, which would be reasonable but again I only requested three items. I thought this was unprofessional and not courteous at all, especially because of our phone meeting where she seemed to be in agreement. I would think twice about hiring them given they can pull out at any moment if a better job comes around. There are plenty of other floral shops and I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I just received the most beautiful bouquet ever from my son for my birthday. Never have I seen such fresh and exquisite flowers. At 76 I have received many flower arrangements and many have been beautiful but this one is truly magnificent in every way. The container of Moroccan tiles is a keeper as a planter! The scent of the roses is divine, you seldom get roses with any scent at all. I wish this could just last forever and ever! We have used Alpha Floral over the years for many occasions. Recently 2 stellar experiences come to mind. 1. I sent a large floral arrangement to a friend whose Mom had died. My friend was so impressed with the quality of the flowers that she now uses Alpha as her florist. 2. I received an arrangement of roses for my birthday from Alpha. The roses matched the description online, but as one of the few people who does not like roses, I didn't care for the flowers and thought they were open too wide. I called to speak with the owner, Brittany, just to give her feedback with no desire or expectation for her to replace the flowers. Not only did I learn about the challenges of roses (apparently everyone has definite preferences), but Brittany insisted on replacing the flowers, listened to the type of flowers I like, and re-delivered an elegant and gorgeous display. I should have known Alpha Floral was going to be a disaster when I saw the poor condition of the flowers in the display but the sales woman insisted that she had "many more flowers in the back." I asked for a bouquet with purple/pink, white and yellow dahlias. I got a bouquet with 2 pink dahlias that were both half dead, no white or yellow dahlias at all and a bouquet mostly of baby's breath. Who still uses baby's breath?! It is the most tasteless bouquet I have seen in a long time. I will never be back. read more

Having spent most of our wedding budget in other areas, I seriously considered enlisting the help of my friends and family to prepare and arrange flowers, especially after receiving a few (very high!) quotes from other local florists. I worried about the stress of taking this on, however, and after my wedding coordinator found Victoria and Alpha Floral, it was easy to forget my DIY plans. Victoria assured us that she would be able to produce everything I wanted within our small floral budget - and she more than delivered! During our initial meeting, she listened to all of my ideas and made sample arrangements right in front of my coordinator and me to get a better idea of what I liked. Afterward, she promptly followed up with a detailed email outlining everything we discussed, including the "recipes" for each of the arrangements. Victoria is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about her work and was careful to follow-up any time there were questions or potential issues (I had made a few special requests, which prompted questions). Her messages were very straightforward, but I came to appreciate the close attention to detail. Most importantly, her work was absolutely beautiful! Given the limited budget, I thought the centerpieces and bouquets would be relatively small, but the full, artfully arranged pieces that Victoria dropped off at our venue far exceeded my expectations and certainly looked like I spent a lot more than I did. While my bridal bouquet was particularly impressive, the bridesmaids' bouquets, boutineers, and centerpieces were also stunning. We used Alpha Floral for our wedding in February and I have to commend them on an awesome job done! A few months after we had signed our contract with Alpha Floral, they came under new management. Brittaney was not only kind enough to keep our original contract and pricing but was also happy to answer questions and chat with me on the phone when I needed. I didn't worry about florals at all the day of the wedding - I just walked into the venue and the ceremony site and was just amazed at the beautiful florals and decor Alpha Floral and Rincon Beach Club had set up for us. They matched my inspiration on Pinterest to a tee! My only tiny comment would be that I wished the foliage used for the dinner table and the bridesmaids' bouquets were more full, but these are incredibly small things compared to the work they did as a whole. I would use them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for florals in the Santa Barbara area! I received a beautiful arrangement of flowers for my birthday from Alpha Floral. I don't usually take the time to write a review for flowers that I have received, but my arrangement was absolutely gorgeous! I loved the pale combination of roses (white and pale peach), white hydrangeas, greenery and pale grey dusty miller leaves. Even one of my neighbors came over to see it in more detail (after seeing the delivery man with it). I HAVE TO WRITE A WELL DESERVED REVIEW! My name is Linda, and I live in Corona, Ca, 2 1/2 hours away from Santa Barbara. On Friday night, I realized that my Sister in Law, and Brother were celebrating their Anniversary in Santa Barbara while attending a weekend wedding celebration for a friend. About a week ago I underwent a Bilateral Mastectomy, and Lumpectomy, and still grieving my voluptuous twins who are no longer part of me. I say it jokingly, but it's hard to look in the mirror. But with all of this going on, my Brother, and Sissy mean so much more to me - they have been there for me from the beginning, and have helped me gain strength, and faith!!!! I didn't want their Anniversary to come, and go without telling them how much I truly LOVE THEM!!!! I immediately started to search how to surprise them. I was saddened to google all the flower shops in Santa Barbara to find out that they were all closed.... after all it was after 7 PM - Sadly the next day on Saturday I had planned a full schedule to drive down to Mexico to see my surgeon for a follow-up early in the morning. I quickly realized I wouldn't have time to organize anything for their Anniversary . I don't give up easily, and I attempted to call a few flower shops, but to no avail . A few minutes later the owner (Victoria I think) of ALPHA FLORAL on 1810 Cliff drive, in Santa Barbara, Ca. returned my call. She was professional, helpful, not to mention UNDERSTANDING!!!! It WASN'T about the extra sale at the end of the night, it was TOTALLY ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, and wanting to fulfill a SPECIAL OCCASION!!!!! She took my order, and ran with it. She guaranteed that the delivery would go out the next morning before 10AM. After the transaction at 9PM....My heart sank, and as emotionally as I have been after my surgery, I sat there in my dark living room sobbing with appreciating for businesses, or owners that go out of their way for someone that they don't even know. May TONS OF BLESSINGS pour over this beautiful floral shop who believe not ONLY in awesome customer service, but in truly making a special occasion SPECIAL. ALPHA FLORAL delivered my floral arrangement, and some awesome pastries early in the morning (9:15 ish) to surprise my sister in Law, and brother still in bed.... my brother was surprised, and added that he thought the floral arrangement was silk cause the arrangement was SO BEAUTIFUL! (We call them "New Alpha" since they are SO much better than when they were under different ownership down near the Courthouse.) SO helpful, SO reliable, SO dedicated to making sure we are delighted. Horrible service. Was told my same day delivery could not be done due to them not getting the flowers till the next day. Still being charged same day delivery, and them not making an effort to make it right. I was still compliant, and said that was fine. Not one, but two days later I get a text saying the arrangement was done. While being delivered, I received a voicemail from the delivery guy saying he thought there was a lock on the gate, but when he looked further, he was able to get in. Then he left another voicemail saying he left them in the backyard, by the pool??? Why on earth would anyone do that, not leaving them at the front door where someone could see them? When finally getting out of my Doctors appointment, being incredibly sick, to call the florist, the lady who answered the phone was incredibly rude. I've had so many flower deliveries, always with very nice florists and high end arrangements, and have never had this kind of treatment or problems. Never again. Loved my bouquet!!! We didn't do any floral for our wedding other then the bouquets and Boutonnieres and corsages for the mothers. They all were so gorgeous! And exactly what I wanted!
