I came with cash for a $22k car, and after an hour of waiting, was told the price was $26750. All Vehicles sold are subject to a $1,499 dealer processing fee. Price listed on Carfax is based on meeting ALL possible discounts: Military+Government employee+Student+VA resident. Seems impossible, as one cannot work for both the military *and* the government. Listing may or may not be true, and it's on YOU Every single listing says: "TOTAL PRICES ON VEHICLES MAY VARY. Some of the options and equipment listed on the window sticker may not be available on the vehicle. The dealership will not be responsible for any inaccurate information about a vehicle. It is the customer's sole responsibility to verify any and all information listed." My Horrible Experience Here are just a few of the issues I encountered: I offered the full $22k list price in cash. They raised the price to $26.7k after 45 minutes of making me wait for the "Finance Manager," Nas. He said I didn't qualify for all the discounts (per first paragraph, above). When I mentioned I was looking to spend under $25k in order to qualify for the IRS $4k EV rebate, he raised the price to $29k! This game went on for 4 hours. We told them to forget the IRS rebate altogether, and offered $25k. Note that this was $3k *over* the price they listed on Carfax! They finally presented a Buyers Agreement of just under $25k. We accepted, transferred $10k from our bank, and left a $15k check to be cashed two days later, when we would pick up the vehicle. On arriving home, I realized they had falsified multiple documents, and used an "electronic signature" to make it appear as if I had signed a number of documents besides the Buyers Agreement. All in an attempt to steal the $4k rebate. You *can* roll your EV rebate over to a dealer to get a lower price, but these guys tried to steal it from me by fudging a bunch of documents, and calling the 4K they planned to defraud me of, a bunch of different names.(below). We sent them at least three voicemails, asking for the Time of Sale Document in the interim two days. Crickets. When we went to pick up the vehicle, we confronted them with their document fraud. I was told the finance manager (Nas) was not available. I knew he was in his back office, because I saw him go in. I said I would wait. An hour and a half later, they finally gave up and ushered my son and me back. The finance manager cursed at my 19 year-old son, told him to "man-up." And told me to "call my husband." He repeatedly slammed his fists on his desk like a gorilla. They refused to refund my $10k deposit, saying it was not refundable (this is untrue, especially in higher amounts). They also refused to give me the title on delivery of the vehicle I paid CASH for. I drove off without the title. I did have the registration. The next day, after seeing that my son left them a bad review online, they sent him a voicemail threatening legal action, because in some twisted way, they think the first amendment doesn't apply to reviews of used car dealerships. I purchased a BMW there in 2018 and after paying off the vehicle, have been in an ordeal lasting 4 months trying to hunt down the title as the finance company was only able to provide the Release of Lien form. (They also advised to get in contact with the dealership as it seems they dropped the ball on filing correct paperwork to show that I am documented as the legal owner of the vehicle they sold me and that also has no lien on it now that the loan I used to finance the car has been satisfied). I reached out to Alpha Motorsports a handful of times to request assistance with getting the title mailed to me and each time I was turned away and brushed off or sent to a voicemail without the ability to leave a message. In fact, someone I was finally able to text and leave a voicemail with responded with "it will take a few months because this was over 5 years ago" and when I had reached out to see the progress on this matter over a week later, I was met with silence and no response or help whatsoever. It's taken me about 4 months on my own to track down that the reason the title wasn't released is because it was still being held in the state of New York by the previous owner (as of 2015 when he originally purchased the vehicle new from BMW) who had sold the vehicle (in 2018) to Alpha Motorsports in Virginia. **The New York DMV representative was confident that again it was Alpha's negligence to blame for the fact that the title was not properly recorded as of the date of sale to me in October, 2018 and that I wasn't listed as the documented owner of title even after I paid off the car. They advised that based on the long Wild-Goose chase I had to go on to track the chain of title that I file a complaint to the DMV of Virginia, which I agree is well deserved, especially given their lack of assistance and lack of competence originally regarding this matter that has costed me many hours and months of stress and ultimately lost monies regarding the intended sale of this vehicle (which I am unable to complete until I receive a duplicate title to show and document that I am the owner of record). Trash company. 1 star rating is higher than what is deserved. Good morning, my name is Taneicia Lewis and my case number is #22862667. I filed a complaint against Alpha Motorsports. I am currently disabled and have a fixed income of $989 a month so I can't afford an expensive car note and my sales manager was aware of that. On 1/11/2025 I was offered a price off $22,000 on a 2019 Toyota Avalon that was on their website. I was told in a text by Adam the sale manager that this price will be honored. I signed a digital contract and submitted it to the finance manager. The moment I got home and checked my email I noticed that the contract was incorrect and my signature was different. The contract they sent back to me was for $29,000 with a 72 month payment of 647 which added up to $46,584. I called them the next day and they refused to have me come in and go over the contract so they dismissed me by hanging up the phone in my ear. I did my own Carfax and noticed that they helped back information from me by not showing me the full CarFax. The car was in two accidents but I was only told about one where the vehicle was not damaged. I discovered that the care was in a major accident and the frame off the car was damaged (Structural damage) I found tape holding up parts of the car. I took the car to a Toyota service center and was told that the car was unsafe to drive and the repairs will be a total of $10,000. I am unable to drive the car and now I have to look for a new one. I tried to pull the original contract that was sent to me and it shows that it expired. I have no idea what to do because I can't afford to get another car and only had the car for two weeks. I have been trying to contact the dealership since 1/12/2025 and no one will speak to me. I don't want to deal with the whole staff in order to get my questions answered. One person should be enough. They also do a bait and switch on their pricing, listing it for 41k before you call consistently to talk to a real person, then they swap the price to 67k for the same vehicle. They don't care that you have your own external lender that would pay in full, they prefer their own "in-house" financing, where they can get your info, run up your credit and make sure you don't qualify by adding on 26k to the price of the car. The Carfax wasn't available on the ad online, so I asked for it in person and the sales associate I was working with, AJ, happily printed it for me. I didn't have the greatest impression of the dealership overall, but as a young female looking at luxury cars, that's not out of the ordinary for me. THANK GOODNESS I did my due diligence research and had the vin run by a Mercedes-Benz service rep on their own Carfax...turns out the GLA was actually in a major accident where the ENTIRE FRONT END of the car was replaced. "damage reported" only on the carfax from Alpha Motorsports, "no accidents". I don't know if they're forging Carfax reports (like some other reviews have suggested), but in any case, I would be EXTREMELY careful purchasing from this dealer. Now in the back of my mind I have some reserves but I give them the benefit of doubt and proceed to Uber there to see the car with my daughter who is 9. As soon as I get there he asks for my id and shows me the car. I notice that the hood is dented and not aligned properly due to the accident I'm assuming, and I proceed to ask the price and about the tax credit which is on their website. He refuses to tell me the pricing saying that's their policy and they would have to work the numbers to see if it qualifies for the tax credit. The only way to work the numbers is for you to fill out an application. I'm like that's not what you said over the phone and we go back and forth for a bit until I'm just like let me speak to a manager I just came an hour in a half and you got to be joking me. I tell them that I no longer want to work with wali due to his attitude.I get the manager and he's worse probably because I'm a woman but just giving a woman needs to know her place. He still refuses to give me the pricing with out filling out an application basically pressuring me to do the application. I'm like what am I applying for what is the pricing you are trying to get me approved for?! His word verbatim were your making this harder than it needs to be I didn't read the fine print about the tax credit that it needs to be under 25k to qualify for the tax credit this includes dealer fees. I let him sweet talk me into filling out the application with no price just purely off him saying I make the numbers work for you. Wali who I didn't want to work with comes back out an apologizes and hands me the tablet for the application. As they are going back and forth trying to figure out what price they want to sell me the car I have like some spiritual awakening like this isn't right. I just bought a brand new car and they gave me the price upfront before I did an application. So I tell Wally I would just like to come back tomorrow. I ask for the check for my Uber and he tells me oh we only do that if you buy the car. I ask to speak to the manager again because that's not what he said over the phone. He tells me they are in a meeting and so I wait.... Nothing. In the meantime I'm also getting calls from I guess a regional manager or something and I am explaining the situation and he is saying oh I'm so sorry let me see what I can do. Wali at this point is also helping other customers so I'm ready to go. I go to the manager ask for the check and he says where's wali? I tell him he's helping someone else. I wait again and here comes Wali and he is like we can make a deal we just need 2k down, after I already told him I wanted to leave. I ask him for the check he promised and he tells me the accounting dept is closed which is bs because if I bought the car they would have wrote the check ...this is when I go back into the managers office asking for the check they call the cops wali is now saying what you don't have money? You want me cashapp you? Didn't do that either...the manager is now arguing with me saying that I didn't come prepared and how I cost him 2 deals ... Dishonest. Made me think the out the door number we agreed on over the phone was going to be ok. I even told them I am driving from 2 hours away. All they had to do was tell me that the out the door number would not be possible, instead they made me drive 2 hours then made me wait for another 2 hours so I can speak to the finance manager and then he comes to me with a price $7k higher than what was discussed. The time spent talking to the other sales reps was a total waste of time. None of the info that was discussed with them made it to the financial manager ears or he pretended like he didn't know anything. Tried to scheme me by discussing monthly payments off the rip like I'm some idiot whose going to just agree based on monthly payments. BEWARE of the people at Alpha Motorsports Fredericksburg. They will lie to you to sell a car. They sold me a Mercedes Benz that had previously been involved in an accident. Though I asked them many times before the purchase if vehicle had ever been involved in an accident, the sales guy WALI and the manager NAS lied to me that they do not sell accident cars. I asked couple of times for the carfax report, they kept telling me they will print it for me and pushed me to continue with the financing but I should not worry because the Car is clean. Later after the purchase I found out the car has previously been involved in an accident. By then it was too late. I had already signed the purchasing contract. Then they blamed me it was my fault and that I should have done my own research. Not only that, they also lied to sell me an extended warranty, they will tell you the bank will approve you for lower rate if you purchase an extended warranty.. Now I'm stuck with an accident vehicle I never intended to buy. My advice, choose another dealership. Alpha Motorsports will mess you up.
