The driver seemed very grumpy and was telling US to hurry and get loaded after several of us had been waiting since before 7:45 for what was SUPPOSED to be a 7:50PM pickup. This is Saturday night, not weekday rush hour, btw. I called the office twice; was first told the driver was 20 minutes late. When it was 8:30, I called back and was told the driver got stuck on the tollway (apparently she was actually struck by a car) and would be get another 5-10 minutes. 15 minutes later, at 8:45, a bus finally showed up at the Int'l terminal, but is now picking up from the rest of the airport. Of course half the people didn't/don't have their tickets (or don't know how to pull up on their phones) so he and the ticket woman had to do all that; then sit at the last pickup point until 9:15, but they are still trying to get all the tickets out of people. By the time we get out of here and on the road, we won't arrive at my station after 10PM, and I still have to get a ride from there. They really should have some kind of announcement system and backup plan available. I'm exhausted and this is just the last thing I needed. I will have spent 3 hours at the airport because of this added to the usual international arrival rigamarole. At least the driver and ticket lady could have been friendly and apologetic, but they are being neither. Have yet to hear any kind of apology or explanation. Not okay. We are finally leaving the airport. It is 9:22PM. For a 7:50 scheduled pickup. I am not a happy camper.

One of my sisters-in-law, who deals with stuff like this all the time for work, offer to call on my behalf since we was witness to much more of the garbage service than I was. I just got off the phone with her and she said they were extremely rude to her and yelled at her. They basically indicated none of the problems were theirs or the drivers fault. Because the contract only listed pick-up times at 3:30, 4:30 and 5:30, the driver made all three contracted trips - nevermind the fact that I was told from the beginning he was at our disposal for the entire time we were paying for the service. Why am I paying by the hour if you're only willing to provide a certain numebr of trips during that time?! If that's the deal, then you should charge per trip. Same reasoning for the problems at the end of the night. The driver doesn't leave if no one is on the shuttle, and apparently isn't responsible for letting anyone know he is there. They got the contract wrong on the pick-up times I wanted- bad on my for not quardruple checking, but the changes I requested were three days before the wedding. I was kind of busy. - and even though I requested pick-ups at 10:30 and 11:15, which would have given the drive plenty of time for the 40 minute round trip, they scheduled them for 11:00 and 11:30. When it was suggested that they should have known this was more than a 30 minute round trip, they said it wasn't there job to check drive times. I do take some responsibility for not being more on top of the contract I guess, but I also feel like my biggest mistake was actually trusting these so called professionals.

Then two weeks before the wedding, I realized we needed more space, and he was wonderful with helping me make an additional reservation. They were prompt at each pick up and drop off time. Came to my rescue with lots of cold bottled water (super important during a wedding as everyone seems to be dying of thirst), had plenty of beer for the wedding party to party with as we made our way to our destinations, and finally had a red carpet champagne toast that was super cool for pictures. We were celebrating a 40th birthday and started planning a little late. After submitting some of my info and details of what we were looking for, Chris reached out right away. He made the entire planning process painless and was an incredible help with suggestions and recommendations. I knew from the start things were going to work out well. We settled on the wine tour consisting of 3 wineries and lunch at a brewery, as well as transportation to and from each of our stops including pick up and drop off at our home! The day before our reservation I heard from our driver, Mark. Just this simple act settled some of my nerves. I was stressing leading up this about things going awry. What if our driver didn't show up? What if bookings were messed up since I booked last minute? You name it, I thought it. Mark confirmed our schedule for the day and we were set. The day of the reservation he showed up early to pick us up and start our day. We had less than perfect weather yet Mark kept us on time for each of our stops. Not only did he take care of us getting to and from each winery, he also provided us with a charcuterie tray, mimosas, and homemade cookies. He was also able to educate us and give us fun facts about each place we stopped. Mark was better than any personal assistant - it was like we've known him forever! Not a detail was left untouched. To start, Mark seemed friendly enough--he offered to take photos at each stop and gave us the rundown of the day. He mentioned that he had "seen it all," from wild bachelorette parties to loud groups, and reassured us that nothing we did would surprise him. Even with that, something about the vibe felt a bit off from the beginning. The girls in our group tried to include him in little moments and keep things light, but as the day went on, his energy felt stranger and more uncomfortable. The real issue happened at our last stop. Instead of Mark taking our photo like he had at every other winery (where he took multiple vertical and horizontal shots each time), I asked a random woman to do it. Right as she was about to snap the picture, Mark walked up quickly, told her he'd handle it, and took the phone from her. When one of my friends politely asked him to make sure the sign was in the background--just like he had done all day--he reacted rudely and visibly annoyed. He took only two rushed photos and handed the phone back without a word. Our entire group exchanged looks because the shift in his demeanor was so sudden and uncomfortable. Then, on the ride home, the situation escalated. Mark kept flooring the gas repeatedly, something he had never done during the previous six drives between wineries. Despite previously priding himself on being a safe driver, none of us felt safe at all. It completely ruined the end of our trip and made every woman on the bus uneasy--especially concerning given that we were a group of drinking adults trusting him to get us home safely. After we arrived back, one friend calmly addressed her concerns to him. Instead of apologizing, he got defensive. He eventually admitted he "overreacted" and said he was offended that she asked him to get the sign in the background because he's "been doing this for six years and knows how to take a photo." It was bizarre behavior, and at that point we simply tipped him and asked him to leave because he was making everyone extremely uncomfortable. Overall, our day started off great but ended on a very unsettling note. For a service that's supposed to provide a fun, relaxed, and safe experience--especially for groups of women--I can't recommend South Shore Brew Bus based on this encounter. I would strongly consider booking with a different tour company.

Business sent a text message day prior to let know who my driver was going to be. Our driver was Margaret, she had very strong communication skills, very good driver, and very friendly! I alerted her our flight to Midway was delayed and she monitored our flight and arrived promptly for pick up even at 3:30 in the morning. She was very friendly and drove us to our destination with no issues. They have extra charging ports for all passengers, climate control system in their vehicles. Their cars are roomy even with 4 suitcases and 4 passengers riding in the back. I accidentally left my laptop in the backseat after our ride concluded and they were prompt to notify me and returned my bag. I love that they take pride in their work and they made our experience very enjoyable! I also love that they are a veteran owned business. I highly recommend their services.

I decided to call back the next day after exploring a couple more options and the person who had agreed to the price match did not remember doing so. I got them to agree to it again and they sent me a contract, which did not have the agreed upon price. I had them re-send it and after the correct one was signed, I emailed to let them know what the pick up and drop off points were. The day before the event I got a call that their office did not have my signed contract, even though I had a receipt sent by them for it, and they did not have my pick up and drop off points, even though it was emailed to them. After everything was sorted, the bus was late to arrive day of and never called me but wound up calling my back up number fifteen minutes later. Then the driver told me that I had to pay the remainder (480) in cash right there, which was never communicated to me. I thought they would charge the card they had on file which was used for the deposit. They were lucky we were going to a pricey event so cash had been collected from everyone, otherwise I would have had to go to a bank to get that much in cash. The driver then wound up missing our drop off point and we had to pull it up on GPS and direct him to it. Would never use this company again. Sure they price matched, but the discount was not worth it.

We decided on a shuttle for the wedding party and two shuttles for guests to and from the hotel. The drivers were friendly and did a great job safely shuttling everyone around. All vehicles were punctual, clean and nicely furnished on our wedding day. Overall, I highly recommend Limos Alive!
