I cannot say enough good things about Trapper Jack. They were fabulous from beginning to end…read more I initially contacted Trapper Jack for a fourth opinion after discovering I had a much bigger wildlife and crawlspace situation than I realized. By that point, I had already received several inspections, recommendations and estimates, so I had quite a bit to compare them with. From my very first conversation with Ben, I was impressed. He was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, straightforward and responsive, and never made me feel as though he was trying to sell me more work than I actually needed. He wanted to inspect everything first, explain what he was seeing and then recommend the appropriate solution. Trapper Jack stood out because of both the communication and the amount of thought that went into the job. Ben was wonderful about answering my many questions--and I had a LOT of them!--and clarifying details in writing so I knew exactly what was going to be done. Unlike some of the other companies I consulted, he did not try to convince me that I automatically needed a far more expensive encapsulation system. The actual project was a big and very unpleasant one. They removed two layers of old vapor barrier along with feces, nesting material and other animal debris, cleaned everything out, hauled it away, installed a new vapor barrier, sealed potential entry points around the HVAC areas, installed ten powder-coated galvanized-metal vent covers and sanitized and deodorized everything afterward. They also replaced my broken crawlspace door with a beautiful new hinged door that closes securely and can be locked. Their exclusion work came with a two-year transferable warranty. Johnell and Paul worked incredibly hard down in that crawlspace while the outside temperatures were already in the 90s. It was brutally hot work, and I honestly don't know how they did it. Despite the conditions and the decidedly unpleasant material they were hauling out from underneath my house, they remained professional, diligent, good-humored and just genuinely nice people to have working at my home. I couldn't have been more impressed with how hard those two worked. There was also one unexpected situation during the job that, in my opinion, really demonstrated the character of this company. An old water pipe in the crawlspace failed after apparently being barely bumped while debris was being removed. The plumber who later repaired it told me the pipe was so deteriorated that it was essentially ready to go at any moment, so I certainly don't consider this carelessness on the crew's part. The guys immediately let me know so I could shut off the water, and when I contacted Ben, he had already been alerted by his team and was personally on his way over. What impressed me even more was that Trapper Jack immediately offered to pay the entire cost of the plumbing repair. Given what the plumber told me about the condition of the pipe, I didn't think it would be fair for them to bear the whole expense, so we agreed to split it. To me, their willingness to take full responsibility before anyone even asked them to said a great deal about the kind of company they are. I also appreciated how approachable the company was about the cost of such a large job. The owner's email actually invited me to contact him directly if I wanted to discuss payment options or negotiate the price. I took him up on the offer, and Greg immediately agreed to reduce my $9,067 estimate by another $350 because I was paying by check rather than credit card. I thought that was incredibly gracious and appreciated it very much. What I appreciated most was that I felt Ben, Johnell and Paul genuinely wanted to solve the problem properly rather than simply get through a job and move on. Ben's communication throughout the entire process was exceptional. Every time I had a question, he answered it. When I wanted additional details in writing, he added them to the estimate. When an unexpected problem arose during the work, he came to the house himself. I've dealt with a lot of contractors over the years, and good communication, follow-through and attention to detail are incredibly important to me. Trapper Jack delivered on all three. I would absolutely recommend them and would use them again without hesitation. Five stars from beginning to end.

I recently bought an old house and during reno, discovered I had Chimney Swifts. I called Complete…read moreAnimal Control because my Ace Exterminating guy recommended them. They came out and explained how they could solve the problem. It was a process and it would take 2-3 visits. During one of the service calls, because of a mistake or oversight, a significant mess was made in the basement in which I had just built white shelving, laundry area structures and a concrete folding table. They were working on the roof, so they probably weren't aware of the mess in the basement. I called the office to alert them to the mess. They sent someone out to assess the situation and he determined, yes, they were at fault and this was on them. After he consulted with the manager, I was told that they would take care of the clean up, but they didn't want to attempt it themselves for fear of making it worse. (soot). So the manager calls around to find a restoration specialist to do the cleanup. They contracted Service Masters who did an excellent job of putting things back in order. But that came out of the pocket of Complete Animal Control, so I'm positive they lost money on the job at my house. Colin - the manager - called me several times throughout the process to let me know the actions they were taking to fix their mistake. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and satisfied. The actual work getting rid of the Chimney Swifts was great, just this one hiccup that could have been a customer service nightmare for me. But I cannot say how much they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the outcome. Look, stuff happens. People make mistakes. But, this company owned up to it and made sure they fixed it. I haven't experienced customer service this excellent in years. It was very refreshing. I will definitely call them again if I need their services. I HIGHLY recommend Complete Animal Control. They do great work, and they will make sure you are happy. Please give them a call when you need help with critters!

You want to know an average day at this company? You MUST be at your first job by 800. Now they will tell you that your first job will not be outsode of thirty minutes from you and nor will your last job. That is an outright lie. They will send you 2 hrs away anytime they please. Expecting you to get up at 500 to get there by 800. And guess what buddy. You don't get paid for that drive time! Also, you want to know where the bait is supplied for the critters you are supposed to trap? The company provides it? Hahahahaha no you simple smooth brain. YOU GET TO BUT THE BAIT FOR THEM!!!! That's right. You. The employee. Buys the bait for your employer. There were tons of days that i had to literally give up my lunch to buy bait for these scammers. And I hope that you love heights, working on roofs in the rain, and zero saftey equipment. They never supplied us with saftey harnesses and when I bought one for myself they told me I couldn't use it because if I fell "the line could catch a shingle and damage the roof when it caught me." They actually got kicked out of the state of Florida for unsafe business practices. FLORIDA. Now, let's move into how they treat their customers. They love not actually catching and animals. You see they get paid a lot more if they don't. Soooooo, you got a racoon peeing in your attic. How about we sell you some bs and halfa** a trapping attempt to really bleed you dry. I once actually got chewed out because I CAUGHT an animal!!!!!!!! Poor lady had her crawl spaced destroyed because they wanted to keep billing her for trapping sessions until I got there. The turnover rate is insane. 99% turnover. And believe me only the good ones leave. Your Sr people will throw you under the bus every chance they get to save their own hide when they screwed up. Twice I almost fell off a roof due to no harness. Only caught myself by driving my knife into the roof before I went over the edge. Once I did. Landed on the second roof and grabbed onto the ridge before I fell the last 20' onto concrete. Then I Gave my two weeks notice and they fired me. No severance no nothing. Overhaul please please please don't not work for them. They are like a bad relationship and will manipulate you and make you think you were wrong. They are an evil company and will use you for their own greed. I should have sued them. I regret not suing them evey time I see one if those awful trucks

Excellent experience…read more We had a skunk spray in our crawlspace. We made the mistake of calling a different company first. It took them forever to get here, and they weren't able to come anywhere near getting rid of the odor. The other company is better known for dealing with insects, and my suspicion is they don't know what they're doing with larger animals. So we called Animal Pros. They arrived promptly; examined the situation; and explained clearly what had happened. (and what the other company hadn't found or attempted to remediate) Their tech let us know what needed to happen to get rid of the odor -- and to ensure it never happened again. They were then able to do the work far *sooner* than promised. It worked. The work was done neatly; the contaminated material fully removed; and the crawlspace left smelling clean. A situation like this isn't fun for anyone involved. (I'd imagine the poor skunk wasn't very happy about it either) Animal Pros got it cleared up properly, and promptly.

He showed up on time, got right to work after explaining everything thoroughly, and he checked on us daily to determine if anything had been caught in the trap before removing the trap and sealing off the entry carefully. He used a specialized camera to make sure that no damage had been done to the interior where they had gotten into the area between the ceiling and the floor. I really appreciated that he is concerned with being humane to animals; we have hired pest control services before, and they just throw down glue traps and terrible poison that wound up costing us a nearby owl (it was there for a long time, then it was gone shortly after D-Con was used on the mice at our old house, and I'll never use poison again I feel so badly about it). Justin clearly is ethnical and humane to the animals, and his prices are very reasonable, far less than another company I got a quote from for the same type of service. I highly recommend him, and though I hope to never need removal services again, if we had another pest problem, he is the person I would call. Great provider.
