Upon moving into our home 4 years ago, our house inspector did not tell us there were squirrels in our attic! We called Animal Pros and they responded within a week. They trapped the squirrels and relocated them. Removed all old insulation, sanitized the attic and added new insulation. Afterwards, our house was always cold or hot. We had an insulation specialist come in and the attic insulation is extremely uneven or non-existent. Very disappointed they did an awful job and charged us 16K. read more

I called Animal pros this morning along with 3 other animal abatement companies, because we had a bat that had gotten into the house sometime during the night. I'm thinking it got in through the chimney which I just had swept about two weeks ago. When I called animal pros at 6:30 am, Adam got back to me very promptly, he was willing to come out within the hour and work with my schedule. The other two locations couldn't be here until later in the day. Adam had the bat within about 1 minute and then proceeded to inspect the property for other possible issues. All in all, it was great service, an excellent price (less expensive than his competitors), and done immediately which I really appreciate. Made huge claims of rats and mice under the house maybe in the walls. They said mice could be getting into our house from on top of the roof line. They pointed to every quarter inch gap around our house as a problem. They said they would not do any portion of the work only the whole job which was $10K. We agreed. After trying to trap anything for several weeks they found two mice. No rats. At that point we were stuck paying. We smelled animal pee in the vents but they said they dont deal with vents. That would have to be a separate job. We have no idea if the system was done well or if it works. They forgot to seal one gap that was about 4 inches. It took 5 texts and calls to get them to come out after 3 months. Once you pay them they don't like to deal with problems. Very hard sell, questionable need for the huge service. They prey on your fear of the unknown. We could have probably solved our minor problem for a lot less. read more

Excellent experience. We had a skunk spray in our crawlspace. We made the mistake of calling a different company first. It took them forever to get here, and they weren't able to come anywhere near getting rid of the odor. The other company is better known for dealing with insects, and my suspicion is they don't know what they're doing with larger animals. So we called Animal Pros. They arrived promptly; examined the situation; and explained clearly what had happened. (and what the other company hadn't found or attempted to remediate) Their tech let us know what needed to happen to get rid of the odor -- and to ensure it never happened again. They were then able to do the work far *sooner* than promised. It worked. The work was done neatly; the contaminated material fully removed; and the crawlspace left smelling clean. A situation like this isn't fun for anyone involved. (I'd imagine the poor skunk wasn't very happy about it either) Animal Pros got it cleared up properly, and promptly. read more

Called them to "remove a snake" from the property thinking that meant catching and actually removing the snake. Turns out this just means they charge over $400 to "catch" the snake, (with our help) he couldn't get it in the trap and released it into the wood line literally 30 feet from where he caught it. We asked him about it and why he didn't remove the snake because this was the second time the snake had returned and he swore up and down that was their policy. I followed up and called the dispatcher again and it sounds like between the guy who came out and the manager it was determined that's NOT what he was supposed to do? Pretty poor customer service especially to the tune of $400. read more

Bat Removal Franklin, TN Our experience with AnimalPros was regrettable. When the crew leader claimed he was finished with all exterior work, we were concerned and asked for a manager to conduct a quality control inspection. Their Director of Operations was argumentative and responded by simply bailing on the job (and keeping our $2,000 deposit!). We had a third party inspect the work and discovered AnimalPros had lied about what they had completed. This all came as a huge surprise given so many positive reviews. Undoubtedly, the owner, who did not respond to our email, will comment on this review and attempt to explain away how everything was the fault of anybody but AnimalPros - "AnimalPros is trusted by thousands...we have 5-star reviews...etc.". Yeah, that's why we hired you. We got the same frustrating deflection and excuses when asking management to check the quality of the work. Therefore, we've posted 10 photos of their COMPLETED work. We were shocked they were so disrespectful of our home, did not own up to this obviously unprofessional work, did not at least offer a site inspection, and did not even attempt to make it right. The blatant dishonesty was insult to injury. Sadly, due to their unwillingness to acknowledge the shortcomings of their work, we are having to pursue reparations through legal avenues. Our project was an overall disaster and disappointment resulting in our home being defaced, incompletely & improperly sealed, and left still housing some bats. Would not recommend giving them your business. Find someone local to you who is accountable and stands behind their work. We've now hired an honest, professional builder to repair the damage done by AnimalPros. Ugh. read more

I called these guys to get raccoons removed. I got a grand total of zero raccoons removed for my money. A couple years back my dad and I removed 3 to 4 in about 7 days. These guys had 10 days and didn't get any. I trusted them to be professionals and do a job better than I could do myself. We used different food and got a dramatically different result. The idea that they got beat by Animal Novices (my dad and myself).....suggests the word Animal Pros is a bit too generous. I'm out $200 bucks and don't have any fewer raccoons. Chris was great. We had a squirrel problem and he came and gave us a quote, caught 9-10 squirrels, patched up all the holes we had where they were getting in and guaranteed we'd have no squirrels for the next 2 years or he'd come out and make it right at no cost. We also got a quote from another company that wanted to charge us per squirrel, which would have been much, much more expensive if they had also caught 10 squirrels. And isn't that the point - more is better? I'd use them again and recommend them to anyone. Start to finish was great service! Called Ryan and got a rough estimate of costs and timing of work that needed to be done (skunks had invaded our crawl space). He was straight forward and very detailed about what to expect over initial call (3 other companies were not, asked expensive fees to even come out and provide estimate, or were too pushy). I had a horrible experience with the company. I had them come out for an inspection and received a list of work that needed to be done that was $3500. I agreed to the work, but after 10 days of not returning calls, emails, or texts from the rep I called the main office to have it canceled. Since then I have had two different, highly rated, and reputable companies come out and look at the issue and both were 1/3 the cost and didn't recommend some of the suggested work. read more

My wife went into the garage to leave and visit her mom in the hospital. The next thing I hear is her yelling that "we have a snake". She backed out of the garage running over the snake, which then quickly disappeared into the front of the garage. I looked in the Yellow Pages and was attracted to the ad by Animal Pros. We had quite a rat problem in our crawl space that we were unaware of when we purchased our home. We had tried setting traps ourselves but were unsuccessful. A rat ended up chewing through a water line from our dishwasher and our entire downstairs flooded. Animal Pros was quick to respond and they solved the problem at its source! They fixed the house so that vermin could not get in or out and caught the few left in the house. Garrett was our rep (REQUEST HIM!) and we cannot say enough nice things about his professionalism and talent. Just had a GREAT experience with Animal Pros Wildlife Removal! It is 100 degrees on a Saturday and my husband and I are cleaning out the basement and garage when we spot a HUGE snake....I literally called 8 companies and could not get anyone since it was a Saturday. Guess you can only have animal emergencies during work hours? Not with these guys! Slippery & shady business. I had the same experience as Sharon R. They came to my home and told me I had extensive and hazardous skunk damage. They recommended an expensive enzyme treatment and told me that I needed a completely new A/C system (they conveniently work closely with an A/C company). Thankfully, I filed a claim with my insurance company. My insurance company had dealt with Animal Pros before and knew to get estimates/professional opinions from another company and an environmental engineer. Both disagreed with Animal Pros' damage assessment & its calculation of square footage (interestingly, enzyme treatment cost is based on square footage). After they did their repairs, Animal Pros tried to charge me extra $$ (my deductible) on top of the price that it had negotiated with my insurance company. Animal Pros Nashville team saves the day! Excellent service by Aaron today. We recently heard an animal in our ceiling and set a trap. Come to find out we catch it, and it's a large raccoon . After catching it, we realized it looked like an expecting mother or had just given birth. We called Animal Pros and they were there ASAP! Aaron showed up and pin pointed that we had baby raccoons in our ceiling, removed them safely, and sanitized the area in a matter of 45 minutes. Minimal repairs needed. BEWARE...total ripoff..They lie about the damage you have...They work with an AC company that said I needed an $8200 air duct system...There was NO damage...They said I needed $2500 worth of wiring...I had 4 hours worth of wiring done....a fraction of the price...They said I had extensive electrical damage ....There were 6 wires damaged...The enzyme solution they were going to use to kill the bacteria was SO incredibly expensive...It was about $1900??? That solution is VERY inexpensive..It's about $130...So their estimate was $10,000....but if I paid with CASH...literally CASH...they have a 10 percent discount...Isn't that a little suspect all by itself..?? I've heard all sorts of horror stories since MY own experience...Luckily I didn't lose anything ..I feel very sorry for the people who got taken for thousands...very sad.. read more

After almost giving up, with the help of my husband, Jay of Memphis, TN finally found a nest of dead baby squirrels in the insulation which was causing a horrendous smell! They squeezed us into their schedule very quickly and were able to provide this service on a Friday evening when no other service would be there at least until Monday. I called these guys about a skunk problem under my house. This guy comes out, checks around the outside, comes in and tells me how they're going to trap the skunks, replace the vapor barrier underneath, fumigate and fix all possible entry points, all for the paltry sum of $3787.00. I was stunned, and asked how much to trap and get rid of the skunks. He said it would be $345.00 to guarantee their removal. I paid the money to have them trapped and removed. They baited the two traps with cookies and left extra cookies for me to add fresh bait. I did exactly as he said, but after a week, they came to my house while I was out, took the traps and left me high and dry. Nobody answers when you call for an explanation. I don't care about all the good reviews they were given. They are scammers, who take advantage of seniors living on fixed incomes. Chris was a huge help to remove a bat from our home. He searched the house thoroughly during the day, but was unable to find it, but did check for possible entry points and for any existing colonies in the attic, of which there were none. He advised us to call him when we spotted it again, probably when it came out at dusk, and he would return and remove it. Two nights passed and there was no sign of the bat, but Chris did call for updates and explained that during rainy weather, often times the bats don't come out due to barometric pressure. On the third night, even though he was no longer on call, we spotted the bat flying through our house, and I called him in a panic! He was at our house within 25 minutes, as promised, and he removed the bat. I was so impressed with his service and follow-up. And, after calling for several estimates, they offered the best rates in the Nashville area.  We had a skunk living under our deck for more than a week.  I called on Saturday morning to schedule an appointment for Sunday afternoon.  Adam called ahead to let me know he was on his way during my appointment window. I really appreciated that. He removed the skunk by hand within 10 minutes of arrival. That's bravery in my book! He even left a trap behind in case there were other skunks in our yard. I experienced birds flying in one of my vents outside my home. I called Animal Pros to help with my problem. The tech was very courteous, friendly, and accommodating. When he came to my house, he looked in the vent and stated he saw some minor nesting. After looking in the vent for about 5-10 minutes, he started covering the vent to prevent any birds from flying back in. A few minutes later, a bird flew out of the vent. Good thing because the tech was very close to trapping the bird in my vent. Not to mention I never saw any "minor nesting" removed from the vent. Once the bird flew out, the technician tapped on the vent a few times to see if anymore birds would come out. He then installed the cover on my vent. I was totally shocked when the technician gave me my bill and it listed bird removal fee $250 in addition to the service fee and vent cover fee. I really had expected the tech to say, I'm just charging you the service fee since there were not any birds removed. But instead... I'm out of +$250 for almost trapping a bird inside my vent and praying no other birds are now trapped inside. read more
