We got it home and cleaned the Rv and sprayed a bug spray, just incase if there are any bugs. we went ahead and started packing our belongings and next day morning before loading the RV we cleaned one more time and we saw a roaches crawling out of the seat. We called the Cruise America Kenvil people and told them we saw a roaches, for that he mentioned you can get an insect bomb and leave it for 5 hours. First of all, I didn't expect that response, it was as if I was supposed to expect a roaches in the truck. Then we also called the main customer service and after explaining, they told me I can get it back to the place and refund will be a discussion between me and the cruise America people. We did try to get that insect bomb which he suggested and left it over night thinking it might have been only one . Next day morning we saw another in behind the driver seat. We called them that we are bringing the rv back and he said okay. When we got it back he said he cannot just take the RV back like that. then he called the main office Arizona and then he said you can leave the RV but we will not give any refund. he handed over the phone to some woman from main branch and she was so inconsiderate. She simply said leave the rv and no refund. worst was when we say something she just keeps quite and then just repeat the same thing again. This is the worst experience ever. its soo much financial lose for us. The thing which hurt most was their carefree attitude, and NO accountability at all. On the worst part, the truck which we got, looked super old model like the tires makes a very squeaky noise when you turn. I am not sure if that's normal with RV trucks as this was my very first one , so don't have anything to compare with.

Currently stuck in a parking lot for the last 3 days, Cruise America is aware that 2 kids, 2 dogs,…read moreand 3 adults (including my 60yr old mother in law) are stranded. We paid in full. We bought the added insurance. Picked it up with no gas, was told the generator needs at least half a tank to work - it will function when we get gas and pull over. Got gas, started the drive. Generator took 2 hours in a parking lot to get working. 90 degrees, no AC. Finally get that up and running. 350 miles into our documented and paid for 2500 mile trip- the gears start slipping. After waiting in a service station for 2 hours, with zero help from both the location we rented from or Cruise America's travel assistance line- we googled RV transmissions. Turns out, fluid needs to be addressed at 100k and 150k miles. Looking at the odometer- 150,325- we decided to locate the transmission fluid. Bone dry. After being assured that all fluids were checked, and told we can't pick up our vehicle early because it's being inspected- we find out the fluid was never checked. 1 day into our trip, 350 miles, and it's ended in a parking lot. CruiseAmerica is trying to send my family home in a rental car, with no regard to our vacation time lost. 2 kids, 2 dogs, 3 adults, and a weeks worth of personal belongings in this RV. Just leave it all behind, along with the dreams you had of a vacation, and accept partial refund. Cruise America won't give full names of any supervisors. No direct lines. Call centers are busy, can be heard in the background calming other angry customers down. We were told days ago we would have a replacement vehicle. After talking to 2 cruise America locations (outside of the one I rented from) I found out there are several units available for rent. But when the word "replacement" was used - everything changed. They won't lose money on a potential rental to get us home safe. Runaround for 3 days, and threatening to leave us here. Told us to drive the unsafe vehicle to a dump station. Calling the police and the news. Do not give this company a dime of your hard earned money. We spent our vacation time begging for Cruise America to hold up their end of our contract. Unkept promises like the one below, for days.

The folks in the Denver offices had, according to rules, kept a deposit because our cancellation had been late...we had a serious family emergency which made us cancel, but it was out of the window for a refund. After exploring with them, they were flexible about this, on a "just this time" basis...very classy. At the point of rental, everything went very well. Friendly staff, shout out to Sean, clear orientation, all questions resolved. Our Ford Maverick van had all the basics in good condition, including a preferred decor (not all the paint jobs viewed with the same enthusiasm!!). Our weekend outing went smoothly...no mechanical issues whatever. The 100 miles/day allowance was adequate for a round trip of about 250 miles to Cape May and back to Pine Barrens--we went over by about 30 miles and that was no big deal in terms of cost. The range from that point could be a tad more generous...suppose you wanted to go down to the Eastern Shore or points in Delaware or central Pennsylvania? Perhaps the overage price could be reduced from 25 cents/mile to 15-20 cents...just a thought. Anyway, we had a good time with the van and definitely would do it again!!! Escape is providing an affordable option...for us, who are just experimenting with camper/van camping and travel, it was very informative. Finally, the Jersey City office was flexible about our return time, giving us an additional two hours that made for a way more comfortable morning.

Sean at the NY depot in Jersey City was super nice and helpful. Showed me all the features and how to pull out and lock stuff in place. Let me measure whatever I needed to. Told me to touch base once the date was closer, so I could get any last minute questions answered. The Big Sur is a nice size for a long trip and is not intimidating like an RV. Can go anywhere a car can go. Built on Ford Transit 350 chassis, so like a city delivery van size. Can't wait for the adventure to begin! Thanks Sean!

Our friends rented from this place a few weeks ago & had such a bad experience with the camper having so many issues but we gave them a chance anyways because we have owed campers and know that sometimes things happen. The reviews were good & the RV itself looked nice from the photos... we were very naïve. We got to the rental place & no one there even knew what camper we were there to pick up I had to show them my reservation on the RVeazy app. The gentlemen then brought us over to the camper and did not initiate any inspection which is required when renting on Rveazy so I went ahead and did it myself. There was a very significant amount of physical damage to in exterior and interior of the camper but all in all it looked decent enough and we wanted to get back on the road. By the time we got to where we were going, set up & started the generator & propane we noticed quickly that the fridge and freezer were not getting cool whatsoever. We gave it over 2 hours and then I contacted Wendy to let her know that it was not working and we also realized that the camper door did not latch shut either. She told me nothing she could do until the morning when her mechanic could call us back. We therefore went from 5pm to 11am with nowhere to store our perishable goods. When her mechanic called us the next day he requested photos and videos of what was not working that we provided immediately to him & to Wendy. We kept as much as we could on ice in the coolers we brought it in but that could only do so much in 80 degree weather. So now we were out $100 worth of good, could not get the camper door to shut or stayed closed and when we thought things could not get more frustrating my daughter went to go sit at the kitchen area only to have her leg stabbed by a nail sticking out of the wood behind the kitchenette. After we saw what happened we looked at the wood to see DOZENS on nails and staples poking out and we were furious at this point. My husband went to check the generator and propane tank to just to realize that we had already gone through almost the entire propane tank in less than 20 hours which is absurd. We took it off and immediately could smell that it was leaking so we contacted the company again and they gave us the run around how the tank they gave us wasn't full because they just added it to our reservation for free which was false because there is an added $25 for propane on our rental agreement. We had to not only drive 40 in away from our camp site now to get food for us and our daughter but also to have to purchase a new propane tank. All all in this was a nightmare and the only thing that made it worse was Wendy the owner gaslighting me the entire time and basically saying we don't know how to use a camper and we should have kept our food in the cooler inside out car so it didn't go bad. Keep in mind, I made her aware of our food spoiling on Friday around 8pm, only 4 hours into our rental and she waited until Sunday when I requested money back for the propane she charged us for that was leaking, the propane we had to go out and buy and for some of our food that went to waste due to her fridge & freezer not working and her response to me was atrocious. She DEMANDED I send her photos of our food in trash bags that we had to throw out, and to send proof to her of the injury to my daughters leg. She also said "well from the photos and videos you sent on Saturday of the fridge not working and blinking there was not much food in the fridge to begin with.".... YEAH BECAUSE IT ALL WENT BAD AND WAS IN THE GARBAGE! She is a diabolic and dishonest person to say the least & I am writing this obnoxiously long review to WARN ANYONE thinking of renting from this company or from Wendy on RVeazy in Walden NY to stay away and please save yourself a huge headache and a lot of money.

Even if you take out all the insurances they offer and follow the instructions on their site about what to do in an emergency situation, they will claim that they cannot help. The agents will blame you for not calling them even when you did and there was no record of it. If you try to talk to a manager at cruise america you have to wait until they come back to the office and then wait for them to call you back. In total this can take all night plus most of the next day. If you call them and ask to talk to ANY manager because you have an emergency they will put you on hold until your phone battery dies. Longer than an hour at least. You'll have to call back because the line will get "disconnected" even if you have a full signal. In short, if you need help in an emergency cruise america will ghost you and blame you for as much as they can. The local office wont help and blame it on cruise america. The only people that actually did help me were the nice folks that stopped helped me out of a bad accident.

Our RV broke down on the side of a highway. Turns out cruise America towed the RV to a local towing yard and explained to us that we had two options: sleep in the RV at the tow yard in the middle of nowhere OR take an Uber to our car (2 hours away). We had our 8 year old daughter, dog, pillows, suitcases, blankets, etc. after all, we were camping, right? Well, they just left us there. On the side of interstate 17 east at exit 97. Left. Us. There. This company should not be in business and I warn any future renters to reconsider. End result: a lovely lady from a local taxi sent a van and the driver took us 2 hours away to our car. It was very costly, but are home safe and sound.
