I brought my 2018 Triumph Street Triple in for its 6,000-mile service. I texted about a week beforehand to set up an appointment and the process was smooth and painless. Matt was very responsive. When I got there I went over to the service counter and Matt was quick to help me. They took my bike in right away and Matt told me that the service would take about 2 hrs. While working on my bike they noticed some lights weren't working and Matt made sure to come find me to run it by me before they went ahead and did anything. They also noticed my front tire was on its last legs so he cut me a deal on a new one. Prices are fair and the service is friendly and excellent. Took my 2014 Sportster Forty-Eight and 2013 Triumph Scrambler to Locomotion Powersports recently. They were super honest about the oil coming from the air filter on my Sportster, saying it's totally normal for that bike -- which was a relief to hear. In past I have traveled around and looked to save a few dollars here and there when buying bikes. Locomotion was somewhat local and I have been looking for a Rzr 200 for my daughter. I have been calling here and there for several months. The sales guy has recognized my voice and called me out of blue the second the recall was fixed. I went in today and was very pleased with efficiency of the staff, paperwork, and overall sale. We're not pushy on accessories or bs promotions. Everyone was very very nice and spent time just being humans having a conversation. And for me in the middle of a busy work day it was quick and easy. I went to this dealership to purchase a SxS. Spoke to Frank. They couldn't get my Polaris SxS and I went over to Motorcycle Mall in Belleville Nj, they put into a higher end model for the same price as Locomotions lesser model. The Sales Manager Frank did nothing but bad mouth Motorcycle Mall in every way, the neighborhood it's in, the employees that work there and the ownership as well. Have used for service (6K service for T-100) and parts with good service. Would give a higher rating but dealer needs to do a better job of calling the customer when parts arrive. Secondly, one time I was there and someone in a supervisory role was verbally disciplining a sales associate. Bought one of my bikes from them, have always had it serviced at the Dealers , always been very pleased with service, workmanship, intergrity, and craftmanship. This place is terrible. The other year they charged me $500 to change an air filter on a four wheeler. Being the nice guy that I am I gave them another chance. I called them about an issue they said sure bring your wheeler down. I was intercepted in the parking lot by a worker so I told him I called ahead, he didn't care said four wheeler was dirty can't take it to work on it. He walked away from me before I could tell him that the engine where they were going to work had been pressure washed. Yes the four wheeler was dusty, it's a four wheeler! The worker was nasty and dismissive in front of me and my young son. I will never go there again for anything and urge you not to as well. read more

I bought an unwanted ATV from my uncle and it wouldn't start. I loaded it onto the trailer and made my way over to Locomotion Power Sports in Mahwah. When I arrived I was met in the parking lot by a man who asked if I was "picking up or dropping off". I said my machine needs service and he asked if I had an appointment. I told him that I did not, but this was an extra machine and I was in no rush to get it back. He told me his shop was backed up 2 weeks. I said "no worries I am in NO RUSH". He then said that he had no room in his shop, that I couldn't leave my machine for service. I was pretty surprised by a business person turning down a paying customer so I said that I will take my business elsewhere and left. Now I know this business was formerly located at a large facility in Suffern. Maybe the move to Mahwah wasn't the best plan. The next day I called Pompton Sport Center, in Pompton Plains, NJ and asked if I needed an appointment for service and the tech writer told me that his shop was busy with a 2 week wait but I could drop my machine off anytime and they may even get to it sooner. PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE CONSIDERING TO HAVE YOUR ATV SERVICED AT LOCOMOTION POWERSPORTS! I REALIZE IT'S A LONG POST BUT PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ IT BEFORE YOU PATRONIZE THIS DEALERSHIP. I have been having some mechanical issues with my Polaris Sportsman 570 for some time. I had been bringing my machine to Trout creek power sports in Trout Creek NY. Great guys there. Very Friendly and attentive. They worked on my machine several times within warranty and they even applied for all work completed to be compensated by Polaris after my warranty expired because my issues began while still under warranty. Solid move by them in my opinion. Although they tried exhaustively to attempt to address the issue, they could not figure out the issue (something drawing from the battery which would drain it). I believed that maybe another dealership could figure out the problem that has plagued my ATV for a few years. I contacted Locomotion powersports and made an appointment with their service department to attempt to address the ongoing issue. After speaking with them, they conveyed to me that their team will not only address the issue and also ensured that it won't happen again. This obviously brought great relief to me. They also advised me to be sure the ATV was clean, as they do not work on dirty machines. From Bergen County NJ, I tripped up to my place in Deleware County, NY and trailered (which was rented by the way) to Locomotion and dropped my machine off on a Sunday evening. On Monday morning I was contacted by Matt the service advisor who stated that my ATV was "too dirty" to work on. So even though I was not able to pick up the ATV on that Monday due to a recent motor vehicle accident I was involved in, I had a friend pick up the machine on that Wednesday with his pickup. Upon arriving at my house, I began powerwashing my ATV. Outside, inside, undercarriage. Once completed, which took about 40 minutes, I inspected the entire machine. I asked my friend to inspect it and asked for his unbiased opinion. Using a flashlight, his opinion was that the ATV was clean. Keep in mind there was some residual dirt (It is an ATV, not a Lamborghini) The ATV was transported back to Locomotion. The ATV was pushed off the back of my friend's pickup and was pushed into the service bay with the assistance of someone from locomotion This individual did not voice any concerns regarding the cleanliness of my machine. The next morning, I texted Matt asking and hoping my ATV was up to his standards. I recieved a message which stated "Not even close." Then he continued to explain that "This service relationship isn't starting off very well. We may not be the dealership for you " I explained again to Matt that I spent 40 minutes power washing it, and since the machine doesn't start, I had to do it while it was on my friend's truck. Matt's reply? " I really don't want to have a texting battle with you sir. Fact is the ATV is dirty and my technicians WILL NOT work on dirty machines, nor would I expect them to. Especially on a ATV that needs electrical diagnoses. I have spoken with my manager and we are not going to work on your ATV at this point clean or not, you will need to find another dealership. - Matt Becker | Service Advisor | Locomotion Powersports" I tried to explain to Matt that I really was in a bind because that my pickup was at a body shop and I was having knee surgery on June 19th and wouldn't be able to pick up the ATV. He was dismissive and uncaring. Subsequently, I was able to pick up my machine with the assistance of a friend and it was brought back to my house where it remains until I figure out my next move. In summary, I have NEVER been treated so disrespectfully by a company in my life. Anytime I explain this story to a friend, they are angered and are in utter disbelief at the lack of customer service by this dealership. I even called another dealership in Belleville, who could not believe they would not work on an ATV that was dirty. Anyone who owns an ATV knows that they are driven in muddy, grassy, wet environments. It is ridiculous and outlandish that an ATV mechanic refuses to work on a machine because it is "dirty." It's actually downright laughable to be honest. Matt was arrogant, condescending, and disrespectful. I fully expected that we could come to some sort of agreement considering I was not only having surgery but also without my pickup truck. I seriously was in a bind and this dealership showed ZERO intent to assist a customer in need. I plead with anyone thinking to buy or service their vehicles with them to seriously consider another dealership. This honestly has been the worst experience I've every had with any business. They don't need your hard earned money, apparently...Shocked to read more reviews with the same issue I have - service department will not work on dirt bikes that have some dirt on them. Quad needed 25 hr check as purchased 11 months ago. My daughter rode it through some puddles 2 days ago. According to Matt it was caked in mud. Let me back up. Purchased Polaris 570 Touring a year ago. Nice enough Sales people. Called to book service and no mention of pressure washing machine first. Showed up around 5 to drop off and they called for Matt. Ten minutes later I decide to go prepare to get quad off of pickup as no sign of Matt. Started pleasant conversation with another customer in lot. Matt struts out, interrupts our conversation and tells me his technicians won't work on dirty quad, pressure wash it and come back and then he walked away. Unbelievable. I re-secure quad on truck then go into to tell them it would have been nice it I was told when booking service that quad must be nice and pretty before the mechanics will touch it. With plenty of attitude Matt informed me my bike was caked in mud and his mechanics would not work on it. It was not. It had gone through some puddles. It's a machine whose sole purpose is to be ridden off road. In dirt. I've had dirt bikes serviced for over 50 years and never had a mechanic whine about dirt. We would hose off big mud but never be required to pressure wash. They could have offered to wash and charge me another $20. They could have been nice. They could have handed me a hose and asked me to give it a once over. I left work early to make their closing time. Loaded the quad, drove 40 minutes to them, half unloaded it to be told sorry too much dirtiness. Re-secure it, drive 40 minutes back home, unload it in the dark, turn on the hose and squirt it for 4 minutes and I think now it's workable. But I'll be finding another Polaris dealer to work on it. I purchased a 2019 left over RE Conti 650 in April this year. Dealt with Lloyd, the s ales person, worked out the deal via email and locomotion agreed to deliver the vehicle. The vehicle was listed as brand new, but upon delivery I found that the odometer showed 91 miles (I was told later they used it to drive to a motorcycle show and decided to let it slide). During my first ride, the motorcycle stalled. Did not find anything obvious except that the oil gauge was showing empty. I later found this is normal as the engine warms up. Locomotion sent a tech to check it out. He didn't find any issues. On my second ride out with friends, the motorcycle stalled several times dangerously on highways. It is not a joke when you are riding 65+ miles on the fast lane and your motorcycle stalls... I have been riding all my life and never experienced this before and I was seriously concerned about my safety. Locomotion picked the motorcycle and at first, they said they did not find any issues. I got a call from Matt, the Service Advisor saying he had checked all the electricals but could not find any obvious faults. He also mentioned that he did not replace any parts since the diagnosis did not show any fault codes. I sent a strongly worded email to Locomotion saying I would not accept the vehicle back until the issue was fixed. A few days later they got back to me stating there might be an issue with the tip-over sensor placement that was causing the sensor to activate while riding and rectified it. I haven't had any issues after that. 6 months later I got an email from a fellow rider asking about my experience with Locomotion. That is when I got hold of email exchange between Lloyd and a Finance guy that showed how they treat their customer complaints. I had a genuine complaint about a vehicle they sold me because it endangered my life and safety. They decided that demeaning me by using an ethnic slur is an acceptable response. Lloyd, I have never been to New Delhi, but I sure can locate it on a map, which I doubt you will be able to. So, I should be the one doing the kicking, perhaps? read more

When it came it was the wrong part. They said they would fix it and order the right one meanwhile not refunding me for that part. The Salesperson Carmine is the best! totally friendly and knowledgeable! went out of his way to make me feel like he appreciated my business, which was purchasing in full a brand new motorcycle with extra warranties and extra accessory parts and clothing on the day I took the bike home. The parts manager Angela is also the best! always friendly and helpful explaining the parts and willing to call a parts sales rep to get you the best possible prices. The finance manager Patrick was very helpful and knowledgeable and made that part of the process as painless as possible. The reason that I would NOT recommend Locomotion Powersports(LP) is the Service department is THE WORST ever. From right after my purchase I felt talked down to, as if they had no patience for my questions which were asked for me to feel safe on my motorcycle. Both the service manager Matt and the assistant manager Adam spoke depreciatively and demeaning. They also charged me for new brake pads and a month later a different mechanic showed me the pads and that they had never been changed. I paid for an extra warranty for wheels and tires and purchased new tires at LP and had them installed by LP for which each wheel required over 9 ounces of balance weights which is way above the manufacturers recommended safety level. The tires caused the wheels to go so far out of line that the bike was badly vibrating at 45 miles per hour, so much so that I was afraid to ride it was so uncomfortable (I have just passed 30,000 miles in just over 3 years so I obviously ride) and they refused to do the work necessary to get the warranty honored. I went to another mechanic and after attempting to true the wheels he put it through insurance (warranty) and both the wheels and tires were covered and replaced. Then recently I called to have the 30,000 mile service done by LP and the service manager Matt said that he "didn't want to do any work on my bike that there always was a problem". In retrospect he did me a favor because I would of been concerned while riding if they had actually performed the work anyhow. Unfortunately for Triumph owners they are the only local Triumph dealer/service place. I spoke with the finance manager a couple weeks ago about my difficulties with the service department and he said he would speak to the owner within a couple days and I have not received any courtesy call from either. I TOTALLY REGRET ever dealing with this place. The service department is by far the most unprofessional, unorganized people ever. I purchased a Polaris slingshot from them about a year ago. ( I had a very nice experience with the sales department). I even purchased an exhaust from them with no problem. In fact I was asked by management to go on Google and leave a positive review because they were having a lot of negative reviews from disgruntle customers. Which I did , I left a very positive review because up to that point I've had only positive experiences. The problems began when I ordered an aftermarket intake. (It's important to know I live in Queens New York , & getting to them takes a bit of time. it is not around the block from me , about an hour and 15 minutes each way. I was called and told my intake had arrived and I could come pick it up. Only when I got there , it wasn't. I drove there for nothing. when asked why I was called and told to pick it up ,I was told because of them moving to a new location they made a mistake. 2months go by & still my part is not In. I call them and I'm told once again the part is in , come on down. When I get there it's the wrong color & I'm told my brakes are in too ( I never ordered brakes). I can only assume they confused customers and orders. Fast forward- after driving a few months ,the Machine is riddled with recalls and problems. Specifically in the rear of the vehicle. I bring it in because of a knocking sound in the rear. I make my appointment and drop it off. Once there I go for a ride with the Service manager so he can hear the noise. He recognizes the sound and says they will take care of it not to worry everything is under warranty. After 3 weeks I don't hear anything from them, so I call them. They tell me it's ready. I go to pic it up. When there , the service manager and I go for a test ride and sure enough the sound is still there. When I asked him what they did ,he told me flat out .. nothing. So for 3 weeks they did nothing. He claims when their technician drove it , it made no sound. He tells me to leave it and they will look into it again. ... 7 weeks have now passed and I get a call to pic it up ,they can no longer keep it there. I'm told the wheel and tire was replaced, but I need a new pulley system. I'm told when the part comes in I will get a call back. ... I never herd from them again. Iv called multiple times , and just get hung up on , or passed around and put on hold until they eventually disconnect me. I had a $26,000 noise maker. From June 2016 to February 2017. I opened a case against locomotion thru Polaris, as it turns out , I wasn't alone. -you have been warned. read more

Brought my Polaris ATV in for service on June 27, 2013. It is now September 12, 2013 and the service department told me the parts are in and we will get to it next week. So all summer I have been without my machine. I should put sleds on it and use it for the snow..... if I get it back by then. There was nothing unusual about the repair. Just seems to take forever to have them actually look at the machine to see what they need and then another month to order the part and then another month to actually install it. I brought it in for a CV joint. If you expect to ride your machine - don't bring it here - it will be in for service all summer. Very disappointing - there is no way I would bring my machine back here or ever recommend this company to service your machine. read more

During our first visit on Saturday we got all decked out with HJC helmets, jackets and gloves. They had a pretty good selection having stuff we liked in our size. Great prices on everything except I did not expect to pay so much for gloves. A really helpful guy named Adam served us with a smile and patiently explained everything as we are both brand new to riding. They need a lot more photos on their website because they have a lot of stuff in stock, including a selection of ATVs and 2 person ATV's, Triumph and Victory motorcycles, jackets and gear. read more
