Have joined Alpine Fitness because how over crowded Vasa is in Lehi. Staff is wonderful and very helpful. Working out feels like a breeze you're in and out, nobody breathing down your neck to take over the equipment. The y specialize in personal training and physical therapy. Alpine Fitness was suggested to me by several Doctors and Surgeons while visiting my children in Utah. I had a serious accident that left me permanently disabled. I was in bed for over 1.5 years. The owner worked with me and got me out of a wheelchair and able to walk again. Life changing and remarkable results. Overpriced for what they offer. Its Alpine so they're gonna overcharge with a smile on their face lol. Weird 2 month notice for quitting. Cancelling is a nightmare, dont believe their sales pitch. Also they give out shirts for 5 star reviews so I'm curious if that's where a lot of those good reviews came from. 129$ for a limited amount of machines, it's literally just the location which makes them think thats a good price. read more

The people that work there are helpful and personable. We never have to wait to use the equipment and it never feels crowded. The equipment is always in good working condition and they are always changing older equipment out for newer items. I have had an extremely bad first experience and impression with the staff at Alpine Fitness. I spoke with Darren and Caleb about joining the club as a new member. My insurance gives me access to multiple gyms in the area which is a fantastic perk and I wanted to try out Alpine Fitness for the first time since Vasa Fitness is always extremely overcrowded. I was informed they couldn't honor the pass I have, which technically they are currently contracted with, because according to them their old management had signed up for it under different contract negotiations. Rather than accommodate the situation and help new members enjoy the facility they did everything they could do to inform me it was a mistake they were on this insurance plan due to a former ownership contract agreement. I let them know that's an issue they would need to resolve, but Caleb decided to rope me into this huge situation with the insurance company and wouldn't even allow me to the facility while he resolved this issue. I was told legally their gym could be liable for refusing new members since technically their old ownership had a contract for this insurance benefit. I have lost any sort of small interest I had in exploring their facility and actively joining their gym. They should be able to handle their own legal matters without involving new members wanting to join. I do highly recommend avoiding these guys and finding a better gym facility read more

They will not tell you pricing over the phone. To me, that's always a bad sign and, to be honest, should have been kind of a red flag. They make you come in to listen to the sales pitch which is everything that is already on the website. So, I am going to save you AN HOUR sales pitch and give you the pricing breakdown. At least until they finish building their new location and up the price. They will not be grandfathering in any current customers past their current contracts so be aware of that because you too will be paying the increased price. Month-to-month contract :$35 plus $30 key fob (one time charge) plus 5% of the total as a credit card processing fee (re-occurring as long as you pay by credit card). 1 year contract: $30 plus $30 key fob (one time charge) plus 5% of the total as a credit card processing fee. 2 year contract: $25 plus $30 key fob (one time charge) plus 5% of the total as a credit card processing fee. This pricing isn't great, but isn't the highest. They are only cheaper than Anytime fitness by $5 a month so they aren't extremely competitive. Anytime also does not charge a credit card processing fee. And it's not even in the realm of competitive with places like VASA who have $10 a month memberships. They use the standard manipulative sales tactics. They constantly talked down about other gyms without good reasons. Criticizing your competition is fine, but the criticism needs to be valid. Ragging on a gym because they have old, but functional, well-maintained equipment is dumb. A 45 lb weight is a 45 lb weight, doesn't matter if its brand new or 20 years old. They will not let you try out the gym before you sign up for a membership. I didn't even get a tour of the gym before I signed and again, that should have been a red flag. They only give you three days after you sign a contract to cancel that contract and it must be sent certified mail, which is a pain and is also not a lot of time to make up your mind about wether or not the gym is worth the price. They do not have very knowledgeable staff if you have a question about the contract and refer you to their accounting firm. The accounting firm will only answer questions if pressed repeatedly and says that they can't actually answer questions about the contract, they can only enforce the contract. Very unhelpful. On to the actual gym review...If you only do cardio and some light free weight training, then this might be okay for you. Assuming that you are willing to pay that much to be on a cardio machine and you don't mind that there is barely any floor space for weights. They only have one of each weightlifting machine and have a very limited variety. There are really only leg machines (except for calves, none of those), with some exceptions. None of the machines are bolted to the floor. So, if you lift any significant amount of weight, the machines can and do move around to become a real issue. If you do any type of weight lifting where you have to drop the weights, DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM!! They have only wood floors and will immediately terminate your membership with no refund and will charge you for additional damage. The owner also has a office below the gym and repeatedly said he goes up frequently to tell people that they are too loud and need to exercise quietly. I'm all for not dropping weights, but exercising inherently makes a certain amount of noise, even if you are careful. If you don't want to hear people using machines don't put your office directly below a gym. Overall, I would say skip. There are three things that this gym is good for as long as you are willing to pay. Plenty of cardio equipment for the space, open 24/6, and very close if you live in Alpine/Highland/Cedar Hills. Everything else was lacking. The "community" was not friendly, welcoming, or even neutrally receptive. The equipment was barely adequate for low level weight lifters. The ratio of people to equipment was the same as at any of the bigger gyms. The sales people wasted a massive amount of time saying exactly what was on the website while not volunteering pretty critical information. The space is incredibly small with no room to stretch and very little room to do free weights. The owner was hostile to any sort of noise while working out. And the contract is pretty shit. They are a showroom first and a gym second and it shows. read more

Please be aware they have month to month contracts and they do auto debits. In order to cancel, you need to send a letter by certified mail 30 days in advance. One of owners, Paul is very concerned that you are satisfied with your personal training. They have collegiate level equipment and are good at injury prevention and treatment. read more

I've been a member for about 4 months and I visit a couple times a week. It's open 24 hours with a magnetic entry key. Closed Sundays by city law. Everything has been as described and the price is less than most gyms. I use the treadmills, elliptical, weight machines and some free weights. There are trainers available, physical therapists on-site, used equipment for sale, etc. read more

I love being a member here, it's just down the street from my house so the location is great! There's hardly anyone every working out here, so I often have the gym to myself. Machines and equipment are kept clean and in good repair. The people who work here are so upbeat and happy, too. Love the positive atmosphere of this gym! read more

The thing that I like most about Alpine Fitness is the fact that there aren't hordes of people that I have to fight to get on the equipment I want. I'm able to go in whenever I want, and I use what I want. Another big bonus is the fact that I don't have to use worn out equipment because they switch it out every 6-10 months, which is awesome. My only complaint is that the gym is a little small, but that's really not a huge deal since they give out a limited number of memberships so there aren't a ton of people. They're even building a bigger gym, so this won't be a problem in the future. I definitely recommend Alpine Fitness if you're looking for a place to exercise that isn't worn out and crowded. read more

For 10 years I've been working with a personal trainer at Alpine Fitness and throughout that time I have been highly impressed with the quality and knowledge of the trainers. When discontinuing a gym membership Alpine Fitness members are required to send a cancelation letter into a billing company address. I sent in a cancelation letter in august and was not charged for September. My credit card was charged for the month of October. I called Alpine fitness to inform them of the wrong charge. They told me that they did not receive my cancelation letter but that they had multiple complaints about the same thing in the recent past. I was then told that they cannot reimburse me but that I can try to get my money back from the billing company. The employee then told me that she has the phone number to the billing company but they will only talk to alpine fitness employees and I would have to resolve the issue by writing letters through the mail. I am disappointed in the way Alpine fitness handled the situation. This experience showed me the lack of care that Alpine Fitness has for its members. They said they will continue to charge my account until they receive another discontinuation letter from me. read more
