We enjoyed going to the Alpine fun factory. Even though this is a family, friendly event Center me and my husband don't bring the kids. We enjoy riding the go karts at top speeds on we can getaways. The owner is clearly passionate about one thing: family fun. The owner was engaging with his customers and very appreciative of our business. We raced adult go karts, family laser tag, my nephew raced the tiny cars, and played some arcade games. All in all awesome time. With that said... if you're a person who inefficiencies bothers you then beware, your turn for go karting is pinned to a board and teenagers will move around the papers when you're off playing arcade games to skip in line. The laser tag has no sign up so it's just first come first serve. Also overall the entire place felt understaffed, we had to wait for a worker to come to the register to pay, wait for a worker to run the tiny car attraction, wait for a worker to come to the ticket reward counter, a lot of waiting on staff: in their defense a massive buss of high schoolers showed up unexpected so I will give some grace here, but even then it seemed like might have been understaffed normally, hard to tell. We used to be Skate Country Gainesville regulars, but when we found out the Alpine Fun Factory was adding a rink, we have been here ever since in opened. This rink is very unique! They offer glow skate with several black lights and it magnifies your skate experience! We absolutely love it! The staff treat us like family especially my daughter who considers this place her 2nd home. Chris is an excellent owner who respects his visitors, Scottie is hilarious and always has a smile on his face, Stephanie is a great rink keeper and is always eager to help a guest- the whole staff is incredibly hard working and faithful. They never slow down! They offer other games like laser tag, go karts, and prize giving game machines-even pool! As far as the building itself- yes, its under construction for renovation and YES, THERE ARE SIGNS APOLOGIZING FOR THIS! The staff are working hard on this, so please be patient! We are here a lot and we know they have passion for their business and are improving it! They have many new ideas ahead and I cannot wait to see the improvements and add ons they have in store! I mean this in a good way, but I felt like I stepped back in time when we visited the fun factory. My family had an absolute blast! Plenty of stuff for the kids especially the kids go karts. The indoor race track was awesome! I wish there were more places like this. We can't wait to come back. Also, the workers go out of their way to offer good customer service. DO NOT RESERVE BDAY PARTY HERE!!! My son has had 2 parties here in the past and they were great , however last weekend we had his party and since (new management) took over it was the worst bday party experience I have ever had!! In short you pay $200+ dollars for a table and that's it!!! They were rude from the moment we walked in and had to stand there holding melting ice cream cake and presents for 10 mins because workers were busy talking bc they couldn't help us we had to wait on the 1 person who was working register. Then our table was "down the hall" which ended up being through 1 building , outside to another (the hallway) as they called it, then all the way through the 2nd building. Keep in mind this is away from the arcade and go carts . Nothing was provided for the party not even a table cloth or anything saying party . Then when we slid the table that was reserved out from the wall we were told we couldn't move the table bc it opened the door that it was holding shut. Not one worker offered to even help with getting ice or setting decorations or any kind of service any normal establishment would do for reserving a $200 table. By the time you walk from 1 end to the other and ride go carts your party time is almost over. The tiny money as they call it is only given for traded wrist bands of kids that don't show so technically nothing is included . Out of 10 kids paid for only 3 could go cart bc that's what the returned bands covered. When I stated the issues at the end with the manager and wanted to argue with me to the point of it getting very heated and her response was what do you expect from me and my response was idk you haven't even offered to help make any of it better by doing anything to where she replied well nothing would make you happy.... Guess she wouldn't know because she didn't try to make me happy, not even letting the bday boy ride go carts or get any kind of special day treatment. When I asked for refund for party which was just a table in a back corner she laughed at me and said haha no you are not getting a refund and turned and walked away. Before the confrontation with manager I already had to apologize to the guest and let them know we were going to have a makeup party because this one was so terrible. read more

I'd really like to give this place 3.5 stars. We did have a good time, but the facility is in need of some serious remodeling and repairs. When you walk in, there is a heavy mildewy smell. There are buckets everywhere catching the leaking roof water. There is furniture stored in the hallways. And besides the facility, the options here seem very overpriced. We spent over $200 on two different things (go karts and laser tag). The workers were very friendly and helpful. The go karts were fast, but the track is so curvy you can't get them up to speed before having to brake to turn. The laser tag was our favorite part. But, even with that, there are obstacles that can cause you to trip. My daughter fell and got wet from a puddle. We might go back just because there aren't any other options in town. read more

Helen, GA has so many hidden gems. We wanted something to do on a rainy day so we really went to the fun factory for go karts but ended up enjoying all of the other fun things to do at this place. They have an arcade, bounce house room, lots of creepy Halloween haunted house stuff, laser tag and a tournament ring. We had such a good time being kids again at this place and the actual kids had a great time too. The building is rather old and is in the process of repairs but if you can get past that, the prices are good and it was a lot of fun! The ladies that worked there were really helpful and showed us around before we decided on what we wanted to do. Once this place is all fixed up ( leaky roof, organized a bit more) it is going to be amazing, I look forward to going back to Helen and checking out the progress! read more

Pulled up to the rusty steel buildings that connect an endless hallways of "fun". The place was full of ceiling leaks and a terrible odor of mold. The ratings here appear to be rigged because I wanted to walk out as soon as we walked in. My kids begged us to do some skating, given the rainy day so we did...had to buy some Disney princess socks that didn't fit anyone and the rental skates were $10 wal mart specials. The walls in the skating rings were wet, sticky and gross and nothing appeared to be maintained. This cost us $68 by the way which was about $60 more than we should have paid. For being a hole in the wall, I give it credit for having what they do, but I feel like I need a tetanus shot after spending 1 hr there...have "fun"... oh, my wife opened a door thinking a restroom and someone was sleeping on bunk beds in there... read more

we stopped in during our camping trip in blue ridge. the inside is very large and pretty hot in the bounce house area. it is a small family owned place and more than makes up any short comings with its superb customer service. the kids loved the bounce houses, they had quite a few and the owner was not strict on time. also there is no age limit on bouncers so the adults could jump too, which was pretty cool. there was no staff standing over you which was nice. the games in the arcade all worked and the owner was quick to help when we had an issue ( which turned out to be our fault lol) the owner was very friendly and gave our kids a ton of extra prizes at the end. his great attitude and care for our experience made our trip there so much better. we also went next door and did the go karts. it was my first time and it was an awesome time! the staff were so friendly and looked like they were having as much fun as we were. the carts were fast and the price was very good! again the awesome owners and staff made this experience so much better. read more

We're visiting Georgia from Pennsylvania and decided to take a trip to Helen. My son loves go kart racing so this was the perfect pit stop (see what I did there ) The place doesn't look like much from the outside but once inside there is fun waiting for you! The staff are super friendly, and Eddie, the owner is the Best! Great personality that absolutely puts the FUN in Alpine Fun Factory. The go kart racing was great with 3 different options- Dominator, Amateur, and double rider. The Dominator goes a bit faster but the Amateur was perfect for me; my husband and son did the Dominator. My son and husband are go kart enthusiasts and they loved it- the track is wide enough for drifting with the Dominator. They also have Laser Tag, and a Haunted attraction they do on Saturdays (Eddie gave us a little snippet of that). Highly recommended stopping in for some fun! read more

My favorite line in any of my reviews is the following: "we live in a world where exceptional customer service is an exception to the rule" - so hats off to Alpine Fun Factory for truly understanding that customer service goes such a long way! I took my two nephews to Helen, Georgia to hang out in a cabin for a week. They wanted to do laser tag so we tried out this company. My first impression was that this place is just a huge warehouse that has zero bells and whistles, no a/c, and is a little on the bare necessities side of resources. Having said all of this, those things are exactly what made it so much fun!. It was charming in an old-school type of way. Kids don't need the latest and greatest technology, perfect in-door temperature and store bought obstacle courses to have fun. What stood out to me the most was the level of customer service. We were welcomed with open arms with a level of warmth that was so endearing. We had our dog with us and upon asking permission if he could come inside - they immediately informed us that they were pet friendly! The staff asked me if I needed anything while I was waiting on my nephews to finish their game and high-fived my nephews when they announced their final score. Upon our exit, a few elderly and adorable gentlemen asked us if we had a good time! I am giving this company 5 stars because (1) my nephews had a blast and (2) the level of customer service was so impressive and heart-warming. read more

My family and I visited for the first time this weekend on our trip to Helen. We had the best time! This place has everything! We played in the arcade, drove go karts, played laser tag and got in the bubble balls. This was our first trip to Helen in a few years, but we will definitely be back soon and often. We were so happy to find this place. We haven't come to Helen in while bc there wasn't much to do with the kids. It's such a big place with so much different stuff to do and at a good price too. Everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful. It's nice to find somewhere that is family friendly and family owned and operated as well.
