Level 256 is a fantastic pinball/arcade bar. With a full bar and an endless number of games this place has a lot to offer. - $10 All you can play pinball, arcade & video games. - Perfectly maintained pinball machines, with the latest and greatest releases. - Weekly Sunday pinball tournaments w/ FREE pizza!!! - Super friendly staff that is always helpful. - Full bar with lots of local beers

World Cup pinball. My favorite one in the arcade.

This place is awesome. It felt like the arcades I went to growing up in the 80s/early 90s. Over a dozen different pinball machines, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Pac Mans, and the ones that really brought back some memories for me, NBA Jam and Ghosts and Goblins.. My wife and I spent hours in here on a rainy day. The beer selection was solid, and the staff were nice. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Asheville, NC.

My four kids and I had the BEST time here! I mean, isn't it every kid's dream to have unlimited quarters at the arcade?!? It's rare to find affordable activities in town for our large family, so Level 256 was a much-appreciated experience. The arcade is super clean and well-maintained. There are about 10 pinball games (Indiana Jones was my favorite) and tons of classic arcade games as well as consoles (original NES with cartridges, Sega, Atari, Switch, etc.). Each game has a sign on it with some game and manufacturer history -- I loved that! A nice beer selection plus local ginger beer and some craft hard seltzer. Almost every console has a drink holder on it, too. The only snacks are local popcorn and potato chips, so be sure to eat beforehand. This is owned by a wife and husband team. Go support local! We will definitely be back.

We felt like kids again, only with beers. Had a blast playing old school pin ball games. Would come here again!

In my opinion: I should patronize the business and tip the band if I like them, and the business that hired them should pay them. No? With that, I'd bookmarked Crow & Quill on my Asheville to-do list and walked over from our hotel, so we paid and proceeded to the bar. After grabbing our first round, we were fortunate to find great seats in the packed house. Thankfully, I enjoyed the "surprise band" and they added to our first experience (and our tab) at Crow & Quill. lol... Cheers!

Sadly, they weren't busy at all, but we really liked the "funky" vibe and the large covered outdoor seating area they offered. We ordered drinks and food at the bar and then grabbed a high top outside. Since I like cucumber water, I ordered the Coolcumber - a golden ale brewed with cucumber, juniper, & basil. It was delicious and refreshing. For dinner, we ordered the Kale Caesar Salad and Mortadella Pizza (formerly the Bologna Pizza...or vice versa). Both the salad and pizza were generously portioned and perfect for two of us to share. Let's start with the salad. O.M.G. It is one of the best kale salads -- if not THE best kale salad -- I've ever had. They took care to massage the leaves with the dressing to make them very tender, then it was topped with a mound of shredded Parmesan cheese. So incredibly tasty. If you've ever turned your nose up at kale, this will change your mind. Next up was the Mortadella/Bologna pizza. It was wood-fired to char the crust and then covered in sauce, mozzarella, mortadella, stracciatella, and pistachio pesto. Having recently been to Italy, these were all ingredients I was still craving. It was delicious. The food was crave-worthy. The drink menu is extensive. The staff was all really friendly and welcoming. And the atmosphere was awesomely funky. I'd definitely return.

They have a great food menu selection too. We got the fried barrata, which was super flavorful and yummy! Could have used more bread though. The bread to cheese/sauce ratio was off a little. They have a nice outdoor seating area, some of it covered. We will continue to come here!
