    The start of the trip
    Christina C.

Went with my family of 4 was amazing. Customer service was great. Was east to purchase and load on the bus. Definitely buy a stick to help along the way for the shallow parts. Would do it again.

This is definitely the best thing to do in Helen. Honestly the main reason why I came. Tubing prices are very affordable and they go from $5 one time per person or $20 all day per person. There's a spot where everyone can get their lifesavers and make the line for the bus. A person from the staff takes all the lifesavers and puts them on the back of the bus while everyone gets their seats. The bus takes you to the beginning of the river where you can start your way down. I suggest you check the river levels before you take the trip because it can be very annoying if the river is too low. Makes it impossible to even move. Luckily, when I visited the river levels were just fine. You can buy a stick for $5 that can help you move if you get stuck with some rocks around the river. You can also rent a belt that helps attach two or more lifesavers together just so you don't miss the people you're tubing with. The staff is very nice most of the time, they even helped me at the end of the river to get out of my lifesavers and showed me the exit. There are changing rooms you can use, and the bathrooms are pretty clean too. Definitely a fun experience.

    $12.49 - not really

We had a great time today but there are things, had we known, we would have fine differently as far as purchasing our tickets go. It might be in your best interest to purchase your tubing tickets once there & not online. They say parking is either free wherever you can find it or $10 parking fee. $10 parking fee is kind of a lie - we were told it was $20 - $10 for parking & you get a tube rental for free with the wrist band he gave us for a free tube. EXCEPT once we arrived to show we had purchased tickets online there are no refunds so we were going to have a future tube ride - that we didn't want or would use. PLUS they offer an insurance online incase you can't make it on the day you purchase for $12.49 which changed to $14.98 once you input your CC info. I paid $77.41 (includes a $2.50 service charge) when had we just purchased once we arrived, including the parking would have only cost $56. Plus you have to purchase wooden sticks ($5 per) if you don't bring your own (saw somebody using some metal pole) & we bought water shoes & a plastic bag to hold our keys, phones, etc.

Shuttle Bus takes u back too the top of the lazy river

Now talk about true LAZY river in life. I never done lazy river outside of hotels so thinking about going up too Helen, GA for true outdoor lazy river. Exciting! The price $3 too rent tube go down the river. It takes over hour maybe two hours depends on the amount of people out that day and the height of the river (cause like previous reviews the river can get low and that when find yourself getting stuck all the time). Really is there better bargain for $3 in life. It not like going in circle but literally going down river that not only has all the lust greenery around, you go down past people fly fishing (really now you know out in nature not no mega hotel), and the water can get cold. I was feeling it with every splash or pushing yourself when you get stuck. By the time reached the end was soaked wish brought towel but was my first time. It was worth every drop of river water! They have shuttle buses that has three different stops all in circle from the top of the river too the bottom. They have few buses going at the same time so really not much long of wait at any stop and even if ones full not that long till the next one behind it. They keep your car keys till you get back great idea because the less you have on you the better. The only thing your required too have is wet shoes or recommended. All along the river not surprising too see few scandals or flip flops floating at the end or down the river. You can buy sticks that help you get unstuck for five dollars. Nothing special but piece of wood with Helen Tubing and just something that can remember tubing or use it again. They have all day prices but we just went down once. No drinks allowed once you get your tube. Kids required life vests they provide if not have one. It great for family day. Or can all go solo or have ties that can link bunch of tubes together enjoy the fun. Just great way too enjoy life, nature, and once your done short drive down the road enjoy rest of Helen, GA.

$5 for tubing. $20 all day. A great deal if you ask me. It has been decades since I last tubed but my kids wanted to go. Plus my brother and his daughter never tubed so why not? This time hubby and I decided not to go tubing and get tickets for everyone and go by the river to surprise them to take pics of them. We never realized there were more colored lifesaver donut floats. Helen Tubing has pink ones while Cool Waters have light blue or green. The beginning of Helen Tubing is also at the beginning where the water park is. When you get to the end, the shuttle will take you back to the beginning. Since we were not tubing, we picked everyone up at the end. Yes, there is changing rooms/bathrooms at both locations so you don't have to worry about getting the car wet and/or if you forgot your towel. 77/2018

They were fantastic and so accommodating!! My family and I visited in mid July 2020. We pulled our tubes to the shore line to stop for cake but our tubes are STOLEN and we were stranded. We called and rather than charging or lecturing us, they went out of their way to DELIVER THREE TUBES TO US AT NO COST! They never charged us for the tubes and totally saved the day. I highly recommend them.

Great day on the Chattahoochee thanks to these guys! Easy check in, waiver signing was easy, cost was reasonable. Ride back was nice and bus was clean. Everyone is very friendly.

Tubin' is such a Southern activity...
    M A.

I've been doing this since I've been living in Georgia. In other words, all my life. Never realized that made me a partial red neck and that tubing only happens in the South... hey, at least we're having fun! If you've never been tubing before or don't know what it is, you sit in a big intertube and float down the river. In heavier rains, the river is easy to navigate by everyone, but less rain means the heavier you are, the more likely you are to get stuck. It's still a great time, complete with smaller rapids a little rock slide to go down. My favorite part about Helen are the houses with lost flip flops on display. What a fantastic marker along the way! I've only ever used Helen Tubing (also known as Flea Market Tubing) because the price is better and it's long. Takes anywhere from 1.5-2 hours to finish if you don't stop often, but it's worth it to slow down and enjoy the finer things. One more thing: Fish DO live in the river, and it makes for a hilarious story when one jumps out of the water and hits you in the face. And to think I almost blamed my friend for splashing me...

    Fenny G.

WOOHOO!! AS GOOD AS IT GETS!! That is why I give 5 stars! TUBING!! I never know what tubing is so when my friend asked me to go, I was not that interested.. but I went with her anyway... IT was AWESOME! GLAD I decided to go! I had a really good time! this is called VACATION!! Helen tubing is not water park where you just sit and slide, but even better!! you sit on the tube and let it take you down the river. Cost $3 (CHEAP!!! The other tubing place cost $5) each person it take about 1 and half to 2 hours from one point to another point. Tip: you might want to bring a long wood stick because sometimes the tube get stuck on the rock and you can push it but if not you are fine too.. I had fun without the stick... Anyway if you go vacation to Georgia this is A MUST place to go!!

We scheduled with TANYA CAREW out of the Cumming Aquatic Center. Our child had 9 lessons before Tanya stopped showing up. On what was supposed to be day 10, she sent 6 kids home because the capillary refill at the heel was too slow meaning they were too cold and couldn't stay in the pool. The next day she text after our child's lesson was supposed to have started and said she was cancelling lessons because "they are having lessons today". Odd, as I know there are supposed to be lessons... my kid has one scheduled. She is double booking her time. I asked about make up lessons. No response. The very next day she no call no showed. Parents & their kids were showing up all morning and being told no one had seen the instructor. The next day of lessons, a text came in mid-morning saying she wasn't feeling well. At this point we are just getting scammed. ISR has been contacted and we requested a refund but each instructor is an independent contractor so their hands are tied. They can't do anything. TANYA CAREW finally answered us 5 days later saying ISR has a strict no refund policy and she wouldn't be refunding us. She again gave no options for rescheduling, making up lessons missed or refunding us for the time our child wasn't in the pool. She referred us to a different instructor and stated she wouldn't be paying her either so we would have to fork out another $1,000 to get our child started with them. I have heard positive feedback from other co workers and parents who put their children through ISR in Buckhead but I would steer very clear of Tanya and Cumming.

We spent over $1,000 between admission, food, and a cabana, and it was absolutely not worth the money. The food situation was terrible. We were served chicken tenders that were still raw, which is completely unacceptable. The food lines were extremely long, and many of the young employees seemed more interested in playing around than helping customers. There appeared to be little supervision. We paid over $400 for a cabana, only to find it dirty, moldy, overcrowded, and poorly maintained. To make matters worse, many of the rides were closed throughout the day, making the park feel old and not worth the premium price. One of the biggest disappointments was finding out that the funnel cake stand was closed. There was no notice on the website, and after asking about it, we were told it had been shut down because someone had allegedly put bleach in the cooking oil. Whether true or not, hearing something like that only added to our concerns about food safety. Guests were smoking Black & Mild cigars near family areas, and the entire park felt overcrowded and poorly managed. Everything was overpriced, and the overall experience was frustrating from start to finish. For the amount of money we spent, we expected much better. Between the raw food, dirty cabana, closed rides, poor service, and lack of communication, we will not be returning. Six Flags White Water needs to seriously improve its cleanliness, food safety, staffing, and overall guest experience.

When we visited with our family only the outdoor pool and small water park was open. On a hot summer day it was certainly worth the trip and the value given the price (it's public) seems like it's hard to beat. We paid a little over $20 for a Father's Day special (two kids tickets plus mom). Note: under 2 is free but 2 and under must wear swim diapers even if they are potty trained. The water park is fairly small and we felt like we got our fill in just a little over an hour of time. The life guards are nice, but as others have mentioned, strict. Not just the "no running" type of strict but the no going face first on a baby slide type of strict. It's a pretty paternalistic approach when you consider that every hour they take a 10 min "get some water and reapply sunscreen" break. Isn't this what parents are supposed to do with their kids? I'll also note that no outside food or beverage is allowed and this is enforced The little lazy river is fun and fast moving. They have two big slides if you have kids that are 48 " inches tall at least. The aqua tots section doesn't have much but it's fun. It was crowded when we were there so it took about 10-15 min to enter and the big slides also had some lines, but nothing crazy They also have a small concession stand and lockers for just $.25 which is nice. Again, overall, given the price it's a pretty good deal for cooling off with your fam but if you live far away, not sure it's worth making the trip all that often.
