On time 3. On budget What you actually get with OneUp Builders: 1. Attention to detail 2. On time 3. On budget We interviewed several builders before deciding to go with OneUp. We appreciated how OneUp respected our time during this initial consultation--bringing both the construction manager and project manager on site to give us an accurate quote and realistic expectations for our project. We didn't feel rushed into making a decision which is in stark contrast to other construction companies we spoke with. A different company really pressured us to make a decision quickly and even talked us into hiring their designer immediately. Not only did this designer cost considerably more than what we would have paid through OneUp, but she made several mistakes that ended up costing us. OneUp was able to offer us an extremely competitive price. When they say they keep their overhead costs low in order to pass the savings on to you, they aren't kidding. But they don't at all skimp when it comes to getting the job done. The attention to detail is impeccable. For instance, we chose a tile with a pattern for one of our bathrooms. The way they were able to match the pattern from the wall into the shampoo ledge is *chefs kiss* so beautiful. There are even things that we would have never thought of asking for that they did which makes our home even better. Our house was built in the 1950s and has exposed beam ceilings. Because of this, there was a gap between the ceiling and our HVAC exchange running through the center of the house. This previously wasn't closed up and looked fine. But OneUp beautifully finished the space so there is no more gap. We've been back in the house post-remodel for a few months and we *still* walk around saying "wow, this is so nice!" on a regular basis. We were quoted 5 months for our complete home remodel and OneUp finished on time. We also were on budget and ran into very few "ope! we need to do this" issues. The handful of things that came up were handled with ease and professionalism. During our initial electrical inspection, the City Inspector required us to move a cable running to a sub panel in our addition and add additional insulation to our ceiling. OneUp immediately resolved both issues at a low cost so the project could continue to move forward without delay. We appreciate the expert advice we received throughout the process and how easy it was to stay in contact with everyone. We were always welcomed on the job site to check out the progress. And OneUp even took care of ordering some of our materials for us (like our new interior doors) and billed us--making some of the process so much easier and accurate. For our project, doing some of the work in our garage fell out of scope due to the cost and requirements to get an engineer to sort out some of the specifics. But as soon as we're ready to tackle this we will 100% be calling OneUp to do the work. I have been singing the praises of OneUp throughout the whole process and HIGHLY recommend them to everyone I know.

The old corner shower has gotten too small to be comfortable, so it needed to be moved to the other side of the bathroom to be larger. By the time we met Hamlet R. we've already interviewed a few contractors. Hamlet's quote was very reasonable, but what helped us decide was that there was no pressure to sign contract on the spot. We also felt very comfortable to discuss details, ask questions and Hamlet gave us a lot of recommendations as to where to buy supplies and the kind of fixtures that would work best. I cannot commend enough on the work ethic of Hamlet and his team. They worked hard the whole time the project lasted. It was a lot of work because of the relocation of the whole plumbing, electrical and all new tiling. It was finished right on time, as was promised. After years of wanting that new bathroom, we finally got it and couldn't be happier with the quality of work. Bonus: we didn't have to clean up, there was no dust, no debris! Our patio room looks funny since the dimensions were off on both sides of the the patio room walls with exisiting walls, and there are gaps between new walls and exisiting walls. I had to hire another construction contractor to finish the construction job , I do not trust Barcadon at all!!!!! With all these mistakes , I would not recommend them at all, bunch of irresponsible people. They can't do big projects. I requested them to refund me for terrible design work they did and I have not heard from them yet.

After Tom and I met and spoke we shook hands and he reacted to my handshake. I told him that handshake means "do not mess with me." He saw I have lots of books and he mentioned to me a book called "the bronze horseman." It said on amazon this book is for Russia what the thorn birds was for Australia so I bought it. Tom came the next day and said he bought the book for me. He wanted a check. I stalled. He said: I will be back in couple hours to pick up the check and get the book. He came back, got his check but I got no book. I said nothing. Tuesday before the 4th he showed me again the order of the book on amazon and the order had gone to an address down by LA and he is driving down to LA over the 4th and pick it up. Sunday evening after the 4th he called and said: "my father is coming to visit from Israel and flying in to LA he will pick up the book," and will I do a review he will send me the link. Well it is another week gone by and no book and no word from Tom. Like I said: I already bought the book. I do not need Tom to buy my books just honest middle man, a true professional who knows what he says and keeps his word and that is not Tom. A businessman who does not listen to his client is a poor businessman. Why Tom Why? I do not need you to buy me books. A man at 40 should have build up some equity in his character, man-up Tom!
