My husband had scheduled a massage as a gift for that afternoon. This was probably the worst experience I have had. The therapist was poor in her execution, style and even manner. Before my treatment even started she mentioned an up charge for deep tissue. During my treatment she burped two times and her massage was far from relaxing her massage etiquette as a therapist was poor and as it was my birthday it sort of ruined my whole experience there, which was a shame. I did reach out to the B&B and provided my feedback, was told the spa manager (Tanya) would reach out but she never did. Heard back from the B&B manager and she told me the owner would give me a $50 dollar credit to my treatment the next time! We live almost two hours away so will not be planning on using that any time soon. To be honest after that experience I would not go back to the spa. The b&b was lovely the massage experience not so.

Once we got to the lower part of the castle, we found our trek wasn't quite done yet, as we needed to hike through a field and some trails in order to get to the main part, so onward we went. By the time we arrived, we could've really used some beer or mead to parch our thirst, but we couldn't find any. All of the food and beverage vendors had really long lines, so we decided to hold off until we got back in town instead. I really enjoyed the variety of vendors selling their wares. There were so many handmade items and I found a lot to be very fairly priced. My favorite part was seeing the birds of prey in addition to just soaking in all the cool costumes people came up with. All in all, it was a fun experience but not something I'd want to do in summer when it's hot when there's so much walking involved.

You can't see the castle upon arrival, they take you in a bus up the hill so, I liked that it didn't ruin the surprise. They had little Tiaras for purchase and they give you a small prize when you complete the word puzzle they hand you. And event here would be cool. It would also be great if they had more drink or snacks for purchase but imagine that's in the works!! This was a costly project so, it will only get better!

When towels finally arrived there were only bath towels (no face towels or wash cloths), There were no comfortable chairs in the room, only two hard backless benches and small table. There was constant noise from open air bars/restaurants with live music and persistent loud motorcycle traffic. We initially prepaid for two nights, but checked out after only one night due to the intolerable conditions. They promised to "look into a refund" for the unused night, but have been totally unresponsive to phone calls and texts over several weeks. We finally filed a dispute with Mastercard to recoup the cost of the paid for, but unused, second night AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

I had the confirmation which they sent me and they made a mistake on their end and double booked the room, so we were displaced from having a room for Christmas. We called around and found the Castle Inn and spoke with Debbie who had a room available and saved our Christmas from being ruined. She gave us a discount for having to be stressed out by the other business which was sweet of her. She made us feel welcome and we loved our stay at her place. We loved having the balcony overlooking Main Street and seeing all the beautiful lights. We had the best stay at the castle inn and will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality, Debbie. I recommend everyone to stay at the Castle Inn while in Helen, GA.

The girl said she would put it up but I just did it since it was easy. There was also a small hole under the sink (2 sinks ... one in with toilet and shower... and the other outside the bathroom... perfect) in the shower room. Nothing came into the room. Be prepared that due to Covid it's best if you brought some Clorox wipes with you in case you want to wipe your room down. Also if you want a bag for b'fast you need to fill out the form at the front desk the night before. I felt safe in the hotel. The river was soothing eve in winter.
