I don't recommend this place. Good price but many surprises: 1) Stayed there in 2 different rooms, and water running from shower on the floor in both 2) stains on bed headboards and pillows 3) during our stay toilet clogged and feces was running on the floor. At front desk they said "We have no another room, and we not allowed to enter the room you staying, so go to Landry section, find plunger there and FIX YOUR TOILET YOURSELF!" We had no options to book another hotel, so we had issues with going pee outside. Next day they gave us another room, but there were stains on pillows and leaking shower as well.

I paid in advance through hotels tonight. It took so long to check I it should have been booked through hotels tomorrow night. Alpine Inn and Suites check in process took literally 40 minutes per customer. Was absolutely insane. AVOID I booked this place to avoid an hour and 20 minute drive home and then back the next morning to the airport. The amount of time it took to check in I might as well have just driven home. Utterly ridiculous.

Update! Management did reach out and make an effort to right some concerns I had. Much better improvement on customer service and I talked to my mother who stayed with us and she said she had a pretty good time.

What a cute and unconventional little hotel this is! Here are the deets: Price: No. This place is not cheap, despite the modest look. I think we paid about $270/night. Location: Not too far away from the airport (why we got it), but close to other neighborhoods with late night food (e.g. mission terrace, outer mission) Service: I have never ever encountered a more friendly greeting to a hotel. I honestly wish I knew what his name was. What a sweet guy. Vibe: An uphill alley lined with duplexes. You share/roof with just one other room. Park right outside. The room itself is very modest, but wasn't really lacking for anything (comfortable bed, closet, tv). Anything bad? yeah. The shower. One second I'm having a super pleasant shower. Then I'm dying being I'm freezing. Then I'm dying because my skin is literally melting off. Repeat. Horrible. Also, for such a high price, they could splurge on nicer shampoo/soap but oh well. Breakfast: I could've sworn that "free breakfast" had been mentioned, but I was really tired when I booked so who knows. There's no breakfast but there are free pastries in the check-in condo and one of those yukky coffee machines that mixes a bunch of powders to make you a "latte". If you like pastries, try them! They were delicious actually. There are plenty of nearby coffee shops.

There's something about this hotel that just doesn't feel cold or transactional--it feels welcoming. A huge part of that is the front desk team, especially Grace and Eva. After a long day of work, being greeted by people who are genuinely upbeat, warm, and attentive makes a real difference. They consistently go above and beyond, whether it's helping with directions, recommending great places to dine or shop, or just making sure everything feels seamless during my stay. What really stands out is that they offer the kind of thoughtful, personalized guidance you usually only get at a five-star resort--essentially complimentary concierge service, and done with sincerity. They are truly perfect hosts. Kudos to whoever hired and trained these gems. Grace and Eva are a big reason this hotel stands out, and why I always look forward to staying here.

Room was spacious and well laid out. Big bed, firm mattress, everything looked maintained. Desk setup was actually usable, not just for show. TV, microwave, coffee station -- all there. Nothing luxury, but nothing missing either. Good natural light from the window, and the room felt quiet at night, which matters. Breakfast was included and decent. Waffles, muffins, yogurt, coffee -- simple but enough to start the day. Not gourmet, but consistent with the brand. Coffee was fresh, which is key. Gym was a plus. Not huge, but had the basics: cardio machines, weights, clean space. You can get a real workout in, not just a token "fitness room." Cleanliness overall was solid. Bathroom was tidy, common areas looked maintained. No issues there. Service was straightforward. Staff polite, check-in and check-out smooth, no friction. Only downside -- it's very "standard." That was exactly why my husband and I chose to stay at the Grand Hyatt at SFO before our flight to Asia. Even though San Francisco has countless beautiful hotels throughout the city, we had absolutely zero desire to leave the airport area, deal with Bay Area traffic, haul international luggage around town, and then fight our way back into SFO the next morning. No thank you. The Grand Hyatt's biggest selling point is honestly its direct connection to the airport via the AirTrain system. For travelers unfamiliar with SFO, the hotel is actually located right on airport property and connected by the elevated AirTrain, making it remarkably convenient for international departures. Once you arrive at the airport, you can simply take the AirTrain directly toward the hotel without ever needing a shuttle, rental car, or rideshare. And when you are dragging multiple suitcases while mentally preparing for a trans-Pacific flight, that convenience suddenly feels very glamorous. Now admittedly, after getting off the AirTrain, navigating toward the actual hotel lobby with luggage was slightly more confusing than I expected at first. My husband and I definitely had one of those "I hope we are walking the correct direction" moments while hauling luggage through the corridors. But thankfully we eventually figured it out without becoming permanent residents of the terminal. The check-in process itself was smooth and easy, and the staff throughout the stay were excellent -- professional, welcoming, and efficient. The room was comfortable, modern, and very well maintained. Slightly smaller than I had anticipated, perhaps, but still a very pleasant room overall and perfectly suited for an overnight pre-flight stay. One unexpectedly wonderful part of this hotel is the plane spotting. Aviation enthusiasts probably already know this, but many rooms and public areas offer fantastic views of the runways and departing aircraft. Watching the constant rhythm of planes taxiing and lifting off while the sun sets over the Bay creates a strangely calming atmosphere for fellow travelers preparing for their own journeys. And surprisingly, despite being right at the airport, the soundproofing was excellent. We could barely hear the aircraft noise at all inside the room, which honestly impressed me quite a bit. The hotel also has a very nice restaurant inside the property, which made things easy since neither my husband nor I felt particularly motivated to wander around the airport after a long travel day. Then the next morning came the part that made the entire stay worth it: We simply grabbed our luggage, boarded the AirTrain again, and easily made our way directly to the international terminal for our departure to Asia. No stress. No traffic. No airport panic. Honestly, for international travelers flying through SFO, this place makes an enormous amount of sense.

So canceled the original plans and here we are. I am so glad because I sure did alot during our short stay. Fairfield Inn & Suites is a beachfront hotel in Pacifica, with modern amenities and stunning ocean views. The hotel is super close by to Pacific State Beach on your left and Rockaway Beach on your right if you are facing the ocean. There are few other hotels, shops, & eateries nearby. I've always seen Pacifica sign on the highway and we got an idea of where, really close to Daly City & SFO. The drive in to Pacifca from SFO was really nice and quick . When we arrived at the hotel, our room wasn't quite ready yet and I wanted the ocean view , staff Angelica was very accommodating, she tried her best to make it work that we get ocean room views. We waited a bit for the room so we hanged outside, enjoyed the breathtaking view of Pacifica Beach & ate our lunch ( we got take out) We got a text that our room are ready. Check is was simple, Angelica also gave & share some info. on Pacifica area. I also was helped by Michele when we checked out and she was friendly as well, love the Aloha spirit here! I really enjoyed our stay at Fairfield, only 2 floors, I heard that this hotel use to be a Days Inn. I had no problems, we slept well, staff were friendly. Complimentary breakfast was great. I loved the coffee dispensing machine available from 11 am- 5 pm. Note, parking is $15. if you park in the hotel's parking lot or free if you park just right across the hotel, we opt to save $ so we didn't park in the lot, parking is on a first come first serve basis. During this stay we were able to explore both beach, hiking trails and last but not least, got to check out what I was excited for Taco Bell Cantina. I sure made use of precious time staying here at Pacifica. LOVE the location.
