    11 year old birthday party!

Escape this Truck was the perfect choice for my 11year old son's birthday party. He is a huge fan of escape rooms and this was an excellent experience. Greg made sure it was challenging and the kids solved it with less than a minute remaining. Highly recommend!

Great birthday event for my son. We had (5) 12-year olds, (2) 14-year olds and 1 adult. The youngsters by far, were much better at figuring clues out than the adult! I was a little worried about the kids getting frustrated, but the owner Greg did a great job in making sure the kids had plenty of success. If you have kids that are patient, like solving clues & like working with others, this is a hit.

I've done escape rooms all over the world and this one is TOP NOTCH. Thoughtful, creative, challenging, surprising, and more. It has everything you could want from an escape room AND it's in a truck parked outside of a brewery which means that you can grab a few drinks before and after. Greg, the owner and mastermind, is lovely! Very enthusiastic and easy to work with. He came out to set up even though we only had two people. He is able to tailor the room to your parties needs which makes it the perfect room for any team. A perfect blend of creativity, enthusiasm, and challenging wit makes for a fantastic event.

Puzzles were very challenging. But the truck felt sterile and old. Our group of young people enjoyed it

Sorry, I can't remember anyone else's names. Puzzles are both clear and challenging at times, the narrative is very interesting and provokes discussion both during and after, and the prospect of decisions affecting later Chapters is very interesting. One of the most engaging and interesting Escape Rooms I've ever done. Although you might find cheaper Escape Rooms out there, Off the Couch Games offers a more unique experience that I think definitely gives you plenty of entertainment for your dollar. I eagerly await Chapters 4 and on. Only room for improvement I can really say is signage. If you miss the banner and front door on your way into the parking lot, you may get confused, especially at night.

The staff does a really good job introducing you to the game, providing context, and giving an overview of the rules. Additionally, they mentioned that we'd receive a discount off our total based on how quickly we finished, which was extra encouragement for us to get through the game. You immediately get immersed into the game before even walking into the actual room and once you're in Occam's Apartment, it feels even more real. The room itself is well decorated, with nice details scattered around the apartment. I loved every minute of the escape room experience and felt challenged throughout the time we were there. We did ask for hints throughout our time there and the answers were often given through directional questions. What I liked most about the Off the Couch set up is that the escape rooms are all a continuation of a storyline, so it makes you feel invested in the experience. I'm looking forward to the next escape room!

We came here for Mother's Day and we came here another time for a birthday celebration and it was so sweet to receive a signed card from Analyn, Amber, Mark, Danelle, Monica, and Jam :)) When we get stuck, the assigned staff for our room never fails to be attentive and even read the situation and kindly speak up when needed. I felt the staff has always matched their level of help/involvement perfectly with our progress and our group. Logistically, the waiver process is super fast and there's plenty of parking in the mall parking lot right outside the space (at most just need to do very minimal walking through the lot). We can't wait to watch some behind the scenes videos for the room creation, really happy we have this Escape Game in such a great location and look forward to more Epic fun!!! Just a minus star on the reservations - we were expecting to have the room to be just our family but we received a text before our time so indicating that another party was joining us. I guess my feel is that if it says 5 spots free - it meant that we had the room to ourselves but we were grouped with another family (mom and two young kids). No issues with the other family joining in the experience but you never know who you would be paired up!! We did the cosmic event. The room was clean and functional. It was hard to hear Hermes in the space ship but outside of it. We had a wonderful time and escaped!!

I signed up myself, my partner, and our friends for the computer chip heist scavenger hunt at the…read moreComputer History Museum. Although we enjoyed the general plot of the scavenger hunt and liked the experience of narrowing down who the culprit was, we felt that the clues were excessively specific, as we had to skim through every label in each area of the museum to get the information we needed. I think we would've preferred more general clues where you could still enjoy the information in that area of the museum without having to work so hard to search through each line of text. I also felt like the clues given were not very connected to the objects in the museum, and the plot of the mystery didn't seem very relevant to the setting of the museum. This took us out of the environment of the museum and made the experience less enjoyable. I felt that the length of was too long at 2.5 hours, although if the clues hadn't been as specific, perhaps we would have been less mentally exhausted at the end. We felt that it was fairly easy to narrow down the culprit with a handful of clues, so I think it would have made for far more intrigue if the clues were more directly tied to the plot and involved more thinking rather than just piecing together tidbits of information. My biggest qualm was the price of the scavenger hunt. I felt like paying $60 for to cover the cost of the museum admission, the video at the beginning of the scavenger hunt, and the website that was made for the scavenger hunt was very unreasonable. An average escape room in the area is about $40 to $50, and escape rooms have much more upfront expenses for the organizers, including the cost of renting the space, the elaborate props, and the staffing. This was a fairly enjoyable one-time experience, but in the future I would just go to an escape room.

Tal provided accurate descriptions of how each experience would be and what are the available options. Tal was very patient while I sorted out the date of the event and also the experience we wanted. Not going to give any spoilers on the event but we chose the Escape from haunted mansion. The event was held in Sports Page Bar where our team of 17 members split into five groups. The puzzles to solve were very creative and simulates your brain. Also is good team building experience where we need to work as a team and individually to escape within the time. As part of the experience we all got a drink/snack as complimentary. To top it all Tal gave a nice prize/gift to the winning team. Lastly I would like to highlight the amazing customer experience where we booked for 19 people and only 17 people turned up. Tal was able to get us the refund for the two no shows. I will be definitely excited to try out their other scavenger hunts in the upcoming years.

For context, I normally only review individual rooms on the Morty app and keep my reviews on here for the venue as a whole, not any one specific room. I'm making an exception for Studio420 because it was that bad. I've done other rooms at this location and actually enjoyed them, and there were more I still wanted to try, but after this one I'm not going back at all. Right at the start we told our game master that our main goal was just to see the whole room and get through it, and she said no problem, she'd help us along. That is not what happened. As far as we could tell the whole thing is a single room. It feels like someone had a spare room lying around and threw an escape game into it to make a quick buck. There's barely any theme. There's even a fully working shower in there that has nothing to do with anything. No cool tech, no real set design, just a pile of cheap padlocks scattered around. The puzzles are where it really falls apart. Half the work is just figuring out which lock a code is even supposed to open, because there are several identical locks and nothing points you to the right one. At one point two things look like they're obviously meant to go together (they had matching stickers) and they turned out to be completely unrelated. Another puzzle has more than one answer that satisfies all the clues, but only one of them actually works, which is not okay when the game only accepts a single solution. When we got stuck we told her flat out that we weren't having fun and asked her to just move us past a puzzle so we could keep going and see the rest of the room. She wouldn't do it. She'd toss little hints, but when we straight up asked her to fast forward us through the parts we weren't enjoying, she refused. At one point she was basically making fun of us for not getting something ("Oh wow fam you don't know your ABC's"), when the clue itself was ambiguous and could be read two different ways. The last straw was leaving. My wife was struggling just to get out of their office on the way out, and instead of helping she stood there grinning like it was all part of the show, after we'd already made it very clear we did not enjoy ourselves. Skip Studio420. Save your money and your afternoon.
