Suburban motel in Daly City Small unit but it's okay because we just needed a place to rest our heads after an evening of New Year's Eve fun out in San Francisco. Check-in was no hassle, quick and easy (booked through Expedia). Check-in time was at 2:00p and our room was ready. Great! Our unit was clean upon entry. It had a Queen bed, a small round table with two chairs and your basic amenities, a small fridge, a coffee maker, cable TV and free Wi-Fi. Did not even turn the TV on... too tired after a whole afternoon enjoying San Francisco and watching the fireworks in the evening at the Embarcadero Waterfront. Hubby had to find parking nearby because the lot was full when we got back. There is complimentary breakfast but we didn't make it on time to that one. The neighborhood was pretty quiet that evening. The inn is located in the heart of Daly City on Mission Blvd. There is a 24-hr donut shop (Royal Donuts) across the street and a Wendy's a few blocks (0.3 miles) on the same side of the motel. There is also a Walgreens nearby. Review #0637

The rat that got to my Oreos left this message for me.

If you like being woken up at 4:35 am by a rat eating your food, then this is the perfect place for you. Spoke to the manager and she only offered to switch rooms and $10 off of our stay. Also, there's no AC, it's by a busy main street, wifi isn't good & continental breakfast consists of paper napkins, straws and empty cups-knock yourself out!

Do not come to this place. I walked out from room 126 on October 28thwith more than 20 bed bug bites. Everything else was good but it was all ruined by the itching. We are never going to return back to this place and hopefully neither of you people reading my review will do the same.

There's something about this hotel that just doesn't feel cold or transactional--it feels welcoming. A huge part of that is the front desk team, especially Grace and Eva. After a long day of work, being greeted by people who are genuinely upbeat, warm, and attentive makes a real difference. They consistently go above and beyond, whether it's helping with directions, recommending great places to dine or shop, or just making sure everything feels seamless during my stay. What really stands out is that they offer the kind of thoughtful, personalized guidance you usually only get at a five-star resort--essentially complimentary concierge service, and done with sincerity. They are truly perfect hosts. Kudos to whoever hired and trained these gems. Grace and Eva are a big reason this hotel stands out, and why I always look forward to staying here.

I give only two stars for the efficient check in and check out process since they got everything correct regarding my reservation. The other star is for the food. I was extremely dissatisfied with how there was a stain hiding in a folded part of the comforter and the only response I got was an "okay, we'll let our team know" when I brought it up. Just a disappointment since I slept on that bed and only found out about it after the tucked comforter stain got exposed after I spend the night.

Hotel: Grand Hyatt SFO Room type: Grand Suite, king bed…read moreCost: $2,300 USD/2 nights Trip: solo, 1 person Location: San Francisco, CA. (SFO Airport) Rating: 4.0/5.0 The Grand Hyatt at SFO is an amazing property, Hyatt truly showed why they belong in the luxury tier with this entry. A 351-room (and suite) airport hotel, one of the best airport hotels in the world, and connected directly to the airport via presecurity (TSA) airtrain on airport grounds. This was quite a luxurious hotel, in a prime spot and a must-stay for avgeeks (aviation geeks). While not the most luxurious hotel I've stayed at, it proves it doesn't have to be. While providing fine dining (at the Quail & Crane Restaurant, more on that below) or fast and convenient to-go items that can be enjoyed in your room or on-the-go (more than likely when here, you're heading to a flight, see: Twin Peaks café, below), the Grand Hyatt at SFO offers unparalleled service for an airport hotel and deserves its 5-star rating. The fitness center by itself is huge and offers yoga mats, stretch balls, peloton fitness bikes, treadmills, standard recumbent bikes, free weights, circuit training and more, plus complimentary water and towels. What is more, is that they truly metaphorically bend over backwards to serve you which no hotel is obligated to do. If you order Uber Eats or Doordash, for example, they'll drop your food at their first floor valet lobby; it's no problem at all. Though the Quail & Crane Restaurant offers an excellent fusion of Western/American continental cuisine, while the Twin Peaks bar had an amazing selection of cocktails to make for you upon request, and the neighboring Twin Peaks market had a standard mix of cold beverages (water, soda, juice, etc.) and snack items including potato chips, and standard American/western fare And the views! Where do I start? This is where being an avgeek comes into play as an advantage and the hotel encourages this, providing an "aircraft identification guide," binoculars, pen, and paper notepad. I spent hours in my suite watching aircraft land, taxi, park at the gate, taxi to the runway then take off. NOTE: Request an apron-view room or suite, otherwise you get an interior room /suite. My suite had panoramic views of the International terminal and half of the "A" gates (the international terminal consists of one gigantic hall and two piers, "A" and "G" gates - Star Alliance aircraft depart out of the "G" gates, while everyone else uses the "A" gates and pier. Domestic terminals 1, 2, and 3 are strictly for gates "B" "C" "D" "E" and "F"). I had to get a pad of paper and a pen to keep track of every aircraft I saw. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! 4.0/5.0 is my final rating, only because 5.0 is the proverbial unicorn; no hotel gets 5.0/5.0, it is unfair to other establishments and there is always something any given hotel can do better, even if it is so unnoticeable to guests, it is behind the scenes. The only thing that could make the Grand Hyatt SFO better is a spa on-site but I'm being unnecessarily nit-picky here, which isn't fair to the hotel.

The room itself was quite spacious, but it completely lacked a closet or dresser to store clothes, which makes no sense given how much empty space there was to add them. The check-in process was also a letdown, as they use a "virtual assistant" screen with a remote worker from another country instead of a face-to-face on-site employee. My biggest complaint was the noise and lack of sleep. The AC/heating unit was so incredibly loud that we had to turn it off and just suffer through the cold night. On top of that, the walls are paper-thin; we were woken up at 3:00 AM by neighbors loudly fighting and arguing about money and drugs. To make matters worse, the curtains are not blackout, so bright morning light flooded the room and woke us up super early. Finally, they hit us with a hidden $10 parking fee that was not disclosed until check-in. After already paying over $171 on Agoda, finding out about extra fees at the desk is a terrible experience. Paying $181 total for a nice-looking room with this many random issues and poor sleep means I definitely would not stay here again.

So canceled the original plans and here we are. I am so glad because I sure did alot during our short stay. Fairfield Inn & Suites is a beachfront hotel in Pacifica, with modern amenities and stunning ocean views. The hotel is super close by to Pacific State Beach on your left and Rockaway Beach on your right if you are facing the ocean. There are few other hotels, shops, & eateries nearby. I've always seen Pacifica sign on the highway and we got an idea of where, really close to Daly City & SFO. The drive in to Pacifca from SFO was really nice and quick . When we arrived at the hotel, our room wasn't quite ready yet and I wanted the ocean view , staff Angelica was very accommodating, she tried her best to make it work that we get ocean room views. We waited a bit for the room so we hanged outside, enjoyed the breathtaking view of Pacifica Beach & ate our lunch ( we got take out) We got a text that our room are ready. Check is was simple, Angelica also gave & share some info. on Pacifica area. I also was helped by Michele when we checked out and she was friendly as well, love the Aloha spirit here! I really enjoyed our stay at Fairfield, only 2 floors, I heard that this hotel use to be a Days Inn. I had no problems, we slept well, staff were friendly. Complimentary breakfast was great. I loved the coffee dispensing machine available from 11 am- 5 pm. Note, parking is $15. if you park in the hotel's parking lot or free if you park just right across the hotel, we opt to save $ so we didn't park in the lot, parking is on a first come first serve basis. During this stay we were able to explore both beach, hiking trails and last but not least, got to check out what I was excited for Taco Bell Cantina. I sure made use of precious time staying here at Pacifica. LOVE the location. Thing sure happen for a reason ( cancelling the original plan to stay here) and I am so happy for the memories/moments that were created. & I just Loved waking up to the sounds of the oceans and enjoyed the views, I really would loved to stay here again, if plan works out.

First off, this is close-by SFO airport and if you are not local to SF, if you stay elsewhere, the traffic going back to the airport can be stressful. There is a parking fee per night of stay ($35 during my stay last week). Your room key is your card pass to the parking lot for most guests. Diamond tier have a more reserved parking spots near the entrance of the hotel. However, when I tried the key cards during my first day of stay, both cards weren't working. There is a help button which they buzzed me in afterwards. Throughout the entire week, the gate at Corporate drive was closed, no coming in and out so I would always have to go around. There was not a day that I didn't try to push the help button because my cards were not working even after asking for it to get check by front desk. Let me just say that all of the front desk agents are great, helpful and informative. With so many amenities, they try their best to explain each information to every guest. The hotel has 4 elevators. 2 at front and 2 at the back. You need to tap your hotel key card before you can push any floor buttons. I stayed in one of their newer rooms, the thermostat was set to a certain temperature. I did not felt any difference even when I changed it. I did not voiced this out because I was in and out of my room a lot. Breakfast is complimentary and they have happy hour every day. Overall, my room was clean but housekeeping was not replenishing everything they took out of my room. Any of my used towels that were not on the floor were taken but not all were replaced. I was not able to use the pool but I saw many kids playing in it during my stay. I can't say anything about the fitness center as I wasn't able to use it either due to my work schedule. If you are light sleeper, you will hear airplanes taking off at any time of the day even when at night.
