Poor financial manger who could not answer one question for ALL the financial questions I had :( She wasted my very variable time to tell me that we own them 40$ which is a bill that is almost a year old . She proceed to tell me that " your address is wrong and does not accept mail ", but did NOT have time to call even one time and ask about the right address . Let me tell you also that this bill is not mine , it's my kid bill, and they even did not leave me a message. I only got a missed call from Stockton that got me concern since my daughter go to school in Stockton , so I called back and find out it's this office . I have been a patient at Alpine Orthopedic since 2005 . Doctor Winter is a great doctor who worked on both my shoulders and after each surgery I recovered very well. He has compassion,understanding and great skills as a Surgeon. My next Doctor that I needed was Doctor Anh Le who placed titanium rods and screws in my Spine after my back began to breakdown due to severe degenerative disk disease. My surgery was painful but a complete success. Doctor Le is a very conservative MD. He showed be great sympathy for all my pain and his work was flawless. I was back to working out at my gym after 6 months of recovery. Doctor Le has been the best back Surgeon with his wonderful skills and dedication to make sure my recovery was a complete success. My newest Doctor is Doctor Siduh for my worn out knee at the age of 65 years young. He has taken great time to study my knee after another Doctor who I will not mention made my knee worst after a complete knee replacement. Doctor Siduh is working with another Doctor there to make sure my next knee surgery is my last one one. He is going to fix a bad knee replacement. He has a very nice bedside manner and is going to great lengths to ensure my knee will not have more surgeries. Every Doctor at this office has showed me their great skills a Surgeons and each one has be compassionate to my issues. Their back office Staff has been wonderful to work with especially a very caring woman named Darcy. I have known her now for over 8 years and she always takes the time to make sure my billing is done properly and made sure my surgery schedule meet my needs. Many times I hear a patient complain about silly issues on here. Name calling shows what type of people truly are. They expect sympathy and each Doctor does his best as I have experienced here for over 20 years now. Their are communication issues between their Doctor and how they expected their Doctor to be. A patient needs to always ask all their questions. If their personalities do not agree the patient should find a new doctor. I see people writing negative reviews that really are trivial. I guess they think slamming their Doctor is ok. Move on with your life and grow up. I see petty issues trying to hurt these Doctors. I hope others will understand everything I have shared here. Office staff was wonderful and super sweet!!! Was referred to a different provider, but was given Dr. Takeuchi. Told him I already steroid injections, last two by my previous doctor didn't work. He didn't seem to offer any solutions due to my weight and my Rheumatoid being out of control. My previous provider was so caring and told me i needed surgery. Dr. Takeuchi didn't seem to really care. Made me feel like I was wasting his time. read more

I have been a patient of several of the doctors at Alpine Orthopaedic Medical Group for over 20 years for multiple and various issues. The staff have always been helpful (both front & back staff), and every doctor I have seen has been professional and provided me with the best of care. That goes for the Surgical Center as well. I think all of the doctors are outstanding; however my favorite doctors are Dr. Phan and Dr. Takeuchi. Thanks for being there when I need the care. I greatly appreciate all of you ! read more

Not compassionate about your level of pain. Even though I have about 3 more weeks for my broken toe to heal, I was told to take some Tylenol and something else. This review is for the front desk. I am not a patient, but I was driving a friend to this facility. I have never seen such ignorance and unprofessional behavior from the front desk. These ladies talk loudly about patient information and even make fun of the patients after they hang up from their phone call. They also talk and laugh very loudly when other coworkers are trying to convey important information to the patients. This is a clear indication of very unprofessional and poor interpersonal skills in a business setting I have the utmost respect for people in the health care and health information professions, but this orthopedic office needs to discipline their staff. read more

Absolute worst customer service! Good luck getting through on the phone. I'm writing this review while on hold more than 46 minutes so far. This is not the first time I've tried to get through. My Name is Ron Grose and I wanted to thank Dr. Kalhor for doing my surgery. I had a bone spur on the back of my heal that my local Dr. Takahechi in Stockton Ca. said he refused to do because it was such a difficult surgery. He said that the tendon was difficult to reattach and it would take me a year or more to recover even if it would reattach. He told me to do physical therapy, stretches, ice packs and wear a boot and that would help. I couldn't believe he wanted me to do physical therapy because the pain was so bad I could hardly even walk. That's when I decided there has to be someone that could do this surgery. My friend Rick in southern Ca. noticed I wasn't walking to well and ask what was wrong. When I told him I had a bone spur he told me that he just had that surgery done with Dr, Kalhor and how good it went and it only took him 6 weeks of recovery. I was amazed that he was fully recovered in 6 weeks and decided to call her. It was the best phone call I have ever made. She has been the best Dr, not only as professional surgeon she has a great personality and made it worth the 6 hour drive. I would definitely recommend her. I would say make the drive and stay away from Dr Takahechi he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about read more

Not Happy! Wait time was 1 hour. Doctor seamed to busy. Took 5 weeks to get an injection which didn't work. Called office because I was having problems and never was called back and the nurse blamed the doctor! They sent my medical finding to the wrong GP with my GP being the referring doctor, big mistake! read more

Complaint #1) My husband had surgery on his knee to repair a good deal of damage. The knee should not have been operated on, it should have been a replacement. Alpine Ortho made alot of money while he got all the pain and no benefit. He's worse than ever and will end up having to have it replaced anyway. Complaint # 2) Just had an appt with Dr Vincent Leung to discuss what could be done about severe osteoarthritis in my thumb joints and carpal tunnel issues. Dr did right in saying that surgery was required, no way out of it. Dr...Did WRONG in behaving like a complete boar, his bedside manner is that of a toad and for that very reason, regardless of the high ratings he gets as a surgeon, he will not be cutting on me. It would be generous to say he might have spent 5 minutes in the exam room, it would be a flat out lie to say he was anything close to gentle with my very painful hands. If a doctor can't exhibit anything resembling a modicum of compassion and concern, then he needs to be in a different line of work. Total Jerk!!!! read more

Referred by my PCP for an elbow injury. My doctor was amazing. I got in the day after I called for an appointment. If my appt was at 1, I was called in at 1250. Not once did I have to sit in the waiting room for longer than 10 minutes (because I was that early). I never even got to read my book in the room after the tech left to alert the doctor I was ready, as he was walking in the door almost immediately. 7 month of appointments, and a surgery later, I have full use of an elbow that should no longer work at all. I highly recommend this clinic. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Not one bad attitude in the bunch. Dr. Iyangar is the best elbow guy in the area. read more

My elderly mom was referred here after suffering from hip pain for quite some time. I made an appointment and a few days before the appointment I got a call that it had been cancelled and I had to reschedule. I did so but had to rearrange my own schedule to accommodate it. The front desk folks were nice, the office is very nice, and the doctor was patient with my mom. They did an on site x-ray, which was very convenient. We made a follow up appointment for 4 weeks later. Not 10 minutes before I was leaving to pick my mom up for that appointment I got a voice mail saying the doctor wasn't there today and I needed to call and reschedule. If I hadn't noticed the VM I would have arrived at the office 35 minutes from my mom's home only to be told to turn around and go home. Not an easy thing to do when the patient is elderly and in pain. While I am hopeful that this facility and the doctor can help my mom, the delays are very frustrating. Two appointments, two cancellations. Either the doctors just decide to leave for the day even with patients scheduled or the appointment staff isn't maintaining or looking at the doctors calendars. read more

I have actually had two separate experiences with Alpine ortho, and both were very positive. The first was when my daughter broke her arm, and she was referred to them for care. The doctor was wonderful with her, reassured her, made sure that nothing hurt too badly, the x-ray staff was very gentle and kind, unlike the x-ray tech at the urgent care, who grabbed her arm to position it the certain way he wanted, even though he knew we were ruling out a break. Alpine was very quick to get her an appointment, and followed up with us promptly. The second experience was when I myself fell and broke my wrist. I wound up needing surgery to repair it, and had a problem with extreme pain with one of the pins afterward. Once again the time spent in the waiting room was minimal, and the process went as smoothly as can be expected. When I called in with the problem and needed a same day appointment they were able to see me within a few hours. Also they had wonderful assistance with filling out disability paperwork, and work releases, the best system I've seen from a Doctor's office. If I have need of such services in the future (which I hope not to), I will certainly return to see them. read more

I was first introduced to this practice in the ER at St. Joseph's Hospital. I have had excellent care in the surgeries of my ankle, thumb, and recently shoulder surgery with Dr. Iyengar. Everyone from the front desk, nurses, x-ray techs, and doctors are excellent in their care of their patients. I would highly recommend the doctors here for any care you may need as they all have their specialties. read more

Nice facility with some serious staff problems. They cancelled my surgery the day before it was going to happen. They blamed it on my insurance company then finally admitted they never submitted for approval. They had six weeks to get this done. Rebecca then rescheduled me for two weeks later and didn't get approval until the day before surgery. By this time I wasn't going to let them touch me and cancelled surgery. Dr Westin had a couldn't care less attitude about the problems. Rebecca said she can't follow up on every approval she submits due to the volume of patients. This place is just a surgery factory with no sense of patient care. Enter at your own risk. read more

This place is ridiculous. Took over a month to even get an appointment. The worst thing is that they have NO respect for your time! I've had six appointments in the last few months and I consistently waited 45-60 minutes PAST my appointment time to be seen. No one was ever apologetic, it seems to just be standard operating procedure. Also difficult to even get through on the phone a lot of them time. This place isn't too bad, I like how they most of their resources are on site like the x-rays. Being part of a medical group though it seems that it would be a pain in the ass to make an appointment. We are impressed by Alpine Orthopedic. My husband broke his leg and was referred here. Everyone we worked with there--receptionists, doctors, assistants--and even the billing office was very kind. Everyone treated us humanely and were genuinely trying to help us. This impresses me so much because it is NOT what I find at many medical offices. The only small critique I would make is that there is often a long wait time to get thru by phone for appointments and such. I would definitely recommend Alpine to anyone in need of their services. read more
