Rob (the owner), who is a 3rd generation contractor, met us promptly after our initial inquiry. Not only was his project plan comprehensive and pricing competitive but we just got a really good "member of the family" vibe from him. It's such a leap of faith to trust someone with an asset like a house but we are so glad we took that leap with Rob. The project included flooring, every inch of electrical, modified interior framing, insulation, complete kitchen, complete master bath reconfiguration, half bath refresh, sheet rock, trim, painting and the occasional psychotherapy session when we encountered a few surprises along the way. Rob was patient, kind, thorough and had a crazy eye for detail. One of the things that really set him apart from other general contractors we've worked with in the past is the quality of subcontractors (electrical, plumbing, tile, etc) and how closely he manages those critical resources. If he says countertops are going in on a Thursday, they are going in on a Thursday. On one hand, the thought of going through another remodel gives me PTSD since I'm ready to just enjoy our home without making a dozen decisions per day for several months. But on the other hand, we are going to miss seeing him so often and will make him our first (and ONLY) call when it's time for the next project.

My family hired this company to renovate our family cabin in 2021 and we had a terrible - what I…read morewould even characterize as dangerous - experience. The project involved numerous errors that required repeated corrections. Instead of being resolved promptly, it took approximately three years of ongoing communications, site visits, and repairs before many of the problems were addressed. The amount of time, stress, and effort required to get the work corrected was far beyond what I expected when hiring a licensed contractor who charged close to $180,000 for the renovation. Unfortunately, one tragic error we only just discovered one month ago: they evidently installed the dishwasher without first putting in the legally required air gap. The dishwasher, operating without an air gap, builds up with standing water, blockages, foul odors, lack of proper drainage, hazardous mold, and biofilm. Over the course of five years, significant mold contamination built up within the dishwasher as a result -- mold we were consuming on our plates, utensils and cups. We have since incurred substantial expenses for inspection, remediation, replacement, and medical evaluations. Several members of our family, including a child, have experienced health problems that we believe are related to prolonged mold exposure. As a mother, I cannot describe the fear and horror of discovering that your child has these terrible toxins built up in his body -- toxins that have neurological, immune, gastrointestinal, and other impacts -- because he has been consuming mold due to contractor negligence. This review reflects my personal experience. I encourage anyone considering this company to instead hire another one. My feeling is that the positive reviews listed on this account are owed to the previous owner, Paul Zarubin, who is no longer with the company, and hasn't been in over a decade. You will notice there haven't been any positive reviews in some time.

We did our due diligence and checked the references he provided. Everyone raved about him, but one gentleman's comment really stuck with us: "If you can get Marcos, you need to get him and sign him. Do not have any other framer frame your house." That turned out to be 100% accurate. Marcos and his crew were on time every single morning, left the job site cleaner than they found it, and their work was impeccable. Our home is truly "plumb, level, and square" just like the company name promises. Every wall, every corner, every detail is spot-on. We also had a general contractor overseeing the project, and he was meticulously inspecting their work daily. He couldn't stop singing Marcos's praises to us, telling us over and over how lucky we were to have him on our job. Marcos and his crew showed up on time and they kept the neatest worksite. Our deck is top knotch!
