It has been a great pleasure working with Christian and his team of professionals. We bought a beautiful house that was dated and needed some remodeling and upgrades. The biggest challenge were the stairs that were originally built by the owner and are basically the centerpiece of the house along with the lake view. These stairs were not square nor plumbed. The stairwell was very narrow. We had all kinds of ideas but wanted to keep it simple. Christian worked with us to come up with a very modern yet tasteful design that complimented the house and simplified the clean lines and elements - very important in design. The final product is a visually pleasing maple wood staircase with rebar floor to ceiling sides instead of rails and a glass sided landing that is visible and compliments the floor to ceiling windows in the living room and kept it from looking like a cage. It also provided a larger stairwell without having thick banisters. His crew also put in beautiful pine wood floors. When looking for estimates for installing wood floors, other contractors always quoted prices with laminate flooring, even though we had already stated we wanted inexpensive real pine. We now rent our home out and always get great feedback with comments such as, "love that floor and staircase!" I am looking forward to upgrading the bathrooms this summer with Christian and his crew, all of whom we found professional, easy to work with, and supper. read more

It wouldn't be right for me not give Christian high marks. Our family was recently in Truckee for the school Spring Vaca. We didn't quite wait long enough to let the house warm up before turning the water on and blew a pipe in an upstairs bathroom supply line. Christian was one of a few contractors that returned an immediate phone call to us via Service Magic. I gave him the run down and he showed up two days later at the time specified. About three hours later he had the plumbing repaired and his drywall crew had the downstairs ceiling ripped out, taped, and textured. Plastic was laid on the floor from the door to the work area and we took over from there. I've been in the construction industry myself for 24 years, and licensed for 10. I know first hand what it takes to be a professional is this trade. Christian is clean, clear, and shows potential of having many successful years in this business. We are so fortunate to have found Timberline Construction and the owner, Christian Edwards, to work on our house even though we are not there to supervise. Christian is 100% trustworthy and easy to work with. He sends photos of progress on request, and names of products to look at here or website addresses, so we can make choices from afar. His estimates are detailed, and he is open to altering a project to meet budget needs. He tells us if he thinks something is not necessary, even if it means a lower-priced job. Christian just finished a master bathroom renovation at our vacation home at Northstar. We can't say enough good things about the quality of his work and his professionalism. We used Timberline construction to do an upgrade of our 40 yr. old A frame. The cabin had no attention paid to maintenance and was horribly neglected. Christian gave us great advice and was able to get us in touch for the right people when we needed engineering advice etc He did an amazing job on window replacement and finishing work. I wish we hadn't needed so much foundation work as I would love to have him add a second bathroom. He was wonderful as were his crew. Timberline Construction has done one small and one large job for us. As absentee owners we rely on Christian to get the job done and secure our home when finished. He is on-time and on-budget.
