Everyone at Alpine Vision Center was absolutely wonderful. From check-in to doing the initial vision checkup, I was treated so efficiently and with care. Dr. Whetten was very friendly and thorough. He listened to me intently, and answered all of my questions. I ordered the cutest pair of eyeglasses that I can't wait to receive. And I didn't realize until after my Alpine Vision Center visit, other places are very high pressure and pushy. I felt none of that here. I went to this place almost 6 weeks ago to get safety glasses for work. The optometrist was extremely professional. I ordered 2 pairs of safety glasses and was told it would take 3 weeks. The first pair of glasses came after 2 weeks. The second pair has still not come as of June 14, 2024. A couple of weeks ago i stopped by after being told the other pair was in. When I got there they said they had made a mistake and the other pair wasn't in. They told me they'd reach out again when they came in. Last Friday I called during business hours and no-one answered. I stopped by on my way to work and there was a sign saying they were closed for training. I called on Monday and nobody answered during business hours. I stopped by again and was told that they would reach out to the company and call me on Tuesday. Did they call? Nope. I tried calling again on Thursday and surprise, no answer. I stopped by again. I was not happy and let the lady at the front desk know it. Instead of apologizing, she said, "As you can see we are quite busy and have a lot of customers here in the office." They are going to have one less customer to deal with. They actually sent me a message this morning, via text, telling me to reach out to my safety supervisor to see what's going on with my order. That front desk person has no business being in front of customers with her attitude. Made an appointment a week ago. I took time off from work and moved my schedule around to get in. I even got a notification reminder of my appointment. When I got there they told me they had no record of my appointment. Even though they took all my information on the call. I've been going here for at least 10 years. The staff are always friendly and the doctors do a great job at answering questions. They always provide me with suggestions on keeping my eyes healthy. If there is one review you read let it be this one. I went to Alpine Vision December 2023 for a regular eye appointment. Eye doctor was nice and helpful, we discussed lasik and offered some recommendations. When getting lasik you have to wear glasses before the procedure and I didn't have any. I asked the eye doctor if they can give me my PD measurements so I can just get a cheap pair for the procedure. He said yes of course the front ladies can help you with that just ask. When checking out, I ask if they will take my measurements. Front desk lady said "no, we only do that if you're buying glasses. You can look up a tutorial online". Okay whatever not going to bother with the rudeness. I purchase a year supply of contacts because I didn't know when I would be getting lasik just that I wanted to look into it. I happened to get an appointment that weekend and for a consultation and ended up scheduling lasik for the following week. Luckily, the lasik place provided loner glasses. I called Alpine Vision and let them know that I wouldn't be needing the contacts (that haven't even shipped yet). The lady on the phone was audibly annoyed and made it seem like they wouldn't refund them. Finally she said that she would need to get the eye doctor to sign off on cutting a check once the contacts are delivered and brought. My wife returns the contacts for me the last week of December. The front desk ladies tell her they will put a credit on the account so I can come get something else. She told them no, there's no need I had just gotten lasik. Office ladies were annoyed and then told her that I would need to come in with the card I used in order to get a refund. I texted back and forth with Alpine vision that day and they also said I would need to come in with the card I used for a refund. Skip forward a couple weeks when I'm finally able to get to their office during business hours. One of the ladies that sits off to the side offered to help me and was able to process the refund with no issues. She didn't even need my card. I asked her if this could have been done over the phone and she says "oh absolutely". They lied for weeks about how they can process refunds and forced me to come in when the process could be handled with a simple phone call. I was recommended this place by my co-worker I guess I won't trust him again i when there they did numerous test on my eyes and told me they were going to contact me to recommend me to another eye specialists so why waste my time I should just go to the other place well never give me no glasses or the name or location of this other place pay probably lots of money for all this test but nothing in returned read more

We were very pleased with our visit today. We came in for a simple check up and the doctor and staff were informative and personable. Afterwards we looked at some options for purchasing glasses and the staff was kind and helpful and most of all they were not pushy which makes a big difference with me. I will never go anywhere else!!! We have eight people in our family. Two adults, and six kids! All of which, now wear glasses. We have looked elsewhere, to see about pricing mostly. But only found more expensive, and less courteous and knowledgeable staff! So, we will always be a customer. Everyone is great, and you cant beat the 2-year guarantee they offer! Which is great when you have 5 boys! The optometrists are wonderful. Very thorough and patient with the kids. We have ordered contacts, glasses and even goggles for our youngest to play baseball in. I used to go to the old building, and love the new one! It is very clean, bright and huge! I would recommend this place to anyone who needs glasses or contacts, with or without insurance. This was my first time visiting an optometrist in Utah and I will not return to here. Dr. Weaver and his nurse Nicole were amazing however is front desk staff ruined the entire experience for me. They were snotty and rude. I told them that my parents would be paying and asked if they could send a bill. The lady said yes but if it wasn't paid by the same day my $10 fee would turn into $25 with a late fee. I was a little confused but said okay and that my mom would call in with the payment info I then asked if I could get my new glasses prescription and the lady said no not until you pay. I was extremely confused so I just left. When my mom called in to pay as well as to complain about their costumer service they hung up on her twice. Extremely rude. Do not go here! read more

We just moved to Saratoga Springs, and we're looking for a new eye doctor nearby. We found that Alpine Vision Center had good reviews on Yelp, so we set up appointments for the whole family. Everything went well, and they even fixed and adjusted my old glasses so they would work better as I waited for my new glasses to arrive. They were kind and professional. The employees were decent, especially with all my little needs for changing my glasses to fit my head better. I ended up getting men's glasses and I have a tiny face so it took a lot of adjusting. But I love love my glasses and ran into a cement wall and they only got a couple scratches at that. They are so indestructible being Oakleys and I didn't even pay for the most expensive package they had for them. I'm glad they offered that brand. Just as sunglasses they are too expensive but them being eyeglasses, became worth the price. A cool thing that also happened was the doctor could see in mine and my moms eyes that she had high blood pressure and I did not. She tried to say it was in our genes but he checked mine and I didn't have the same really squiggly red lines as she did. Meaning I had lower blood pressure. I had very smooth lines, I thought that was cool because it shows it's not so much genetic as it is she eats a ton of red meat and I do not. Overall good experience and now my mom hopefully doesn't eat as much meat. read more

My wife and I made appointments to each have our eyes checked. We are cash paying customers. We sat down in waiting room to await our exams and noticed on tv it was showing what would happen if you hit someone in stomach with an axe. (History channel forge) anyway it was gross so I asked receptionist if she could change the station. After hesitating, she told me there were "two choices: that channel and the news." I told her, "NEWS" and went and sat back down. Everything seemed fine. After 5 min she came over and turned the tv off and walked away (!!!) my wife asked just before she disappeared, "are you just turning it OFF?" She replied, "yes". So I said, "you said you were going to turn the news on!?" she then replied, "Nope! We're NOT doing politics here!" And she continued to walk away. My wife said, "Wait! So... you're just NOT turning the tv back on?!" She said, "Nope!" I told the girl that she was very rude. She said, "oh well!"???!!! So we both got up and said, "that's it, we're outta here!" They acted like they didn't care and just rolled their eyes! I'm surprised the owner hasn't claimed the page on Yelp! The girl up front is apparently a reflection of the owners. I unfortunately couldn't find a "ZERO" rating. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO MY WORST ENEMY the way the receptionist treated us both, let alone my friends. I came to Alpine Vision Center for my first eye appointment ever, and I loved my experience! Until my appointment, I was always afraid of seeing an eye doctor. Dr. Carlan Reese was incredibly friendly, and the other members of their office were welcoming and helpful. Everyone seemed to really care about their work, and I was able to talk to them easily about my needs. They're a fun team! I was comfortable enough to ask questions about the process of testing and diagnosis, and I was answered warmly. I learned so much about my own eyes. In the same appointment I was tested, diagnosed, and got to pick out my new glasses - a process which was fun and confidence-building! I'm so happy with my glasses. They've eliminated the headaches I was getting and I can focus better. I feel so much more efficient, and I love the way I look. The nose pads on my glasses fell off after a week or so, but I just popped into the office on my way home from work and the team fixed up my glasses in no time. I'm so grateful that their office is run with such competency and kindness. I would recommend them to anyone. read more
